I was young (er), what can I say. And I will leave that pleasure to you. I play my games on normal (except god of war and IWD2 heart of fury mode). Have no interest in difficulty through inflated numbers.

I wasn't that involved in the PoE2 discussion as much (apart from a snarky comment here and there) as I had given up by that point, but I do not see what difference does it make if it's PoE 1 or PoE2? The whole thread in fact deals with metagaming. Josh's excuse for doing away with combat xp and moving it to quests and bestiaries was to give choice to the player to avoid combat encounters and make them not feel like that missed out. That turned out to be wholly unnecessary as you would hit the level cap midway through the game, so it was not like you needed to hunt for xp like in BG2 to be able to hit high levels. Also it wasn't like there were that many non lethal options in PoE, but w/e I think that was maybe the least of the games issues. Wut? You steamroll Pathfinders trashmobs and pick up the loot to sell. I didn't even think about them. Of the many things bad with Owlcats games I would not rank the trash mobs particularly high. So they took a bad system and made it less bad, big whoop. And here I would say that you are remembering what you want to remember. There were plenty of very detailed and well explained post out there.

It's not (just) that, it's reloading a game to do something differently or in a better way, Josh is a big opponent of save scumming, basically he wanted the people to play the game like he imagined it should be played (obviously this was never stated is such terms by Josh and is my opinion on the matter). One of the biggest issues he had with BG2 was that for first time players (ie. people without previous knowledge of the game (ie. metagaming)) some encounters were unwinnable without multiple reloads, so his solution was to strive to make any encounter winnable on the first try. Now when you think about this in theory it sounds well and good, but in practice it makes for boring encounters and this was something that a lot of people voiced as happening. Also god forbid someone figured out something broken and unbalanced. Purge it with fire. From what I gathered Josh is not a big believer in letting the player play the game how he enjoys playing it.

Yeah no, here he would just chime in on the discussion very rarely with one post and leave it at that. What was clear from his talks here and elsewhere was that he did not like BG2. As for people here providing guidance, I don't know how many more people needed to write that metagaming is something that is impossible to avoid without making the game pure RNG and that avoiding said metagaming should not be the focus of their development, that having weak character builds is not the end of the world as long as you are able to finish the game with said build, that having trash mobs that give absolutely nothing to the player will make them too annoying and that having no trash mobs will make the world feel empty and that having enemies that hand you your ass on a plate in the opening of the battle is not bad as long as it's rare and not in main quest path and yeah, the health system is convoluted just for the sake of it being convoluted.

I haven't even played it, but I cannot separate it from the DOS games, which I absolutely didn't like. I will still try it when it comes out, but my expectations are non existent.

I dropped PoE as soon as I hit max level and I think that was some way before the end of the game, because I did the dlc too. Never tried it again or tried the sequel. My opinion on what made PoE not fun enough for me to finish it: 1. The driving people behind it didn't like what they were working on, but got trapped in it because of the promises they made. Kind of hard to make a spiritual successor to a game you don't like. 2. Focus on gameplay tuning and balance, instead of making gameplay fun. As a consequence of that very low diversity of items and items that were boring. I won't even go in to the health mechanic thing, or the resting (even pathfinder failed with resting). 3. Trying to reinvent the wheel with the story. (Writing new and unique stories is hard) What it did great was the visuals and sound. If only pathfinder could do it like that it would be such a better game.

Spot on. -
They would have to glue in the panels I think. There is no big reason to eliminate the bezels besides esthetic and side by side monitors (ultrawide exist though.)

Finished God of War Ragnarok main story, have to beat the rest of the optional hard bosses and I will be 100%. What can I say other than that they knocked it out of the park. The story was great and this was a worthy sequel and maybe a better game overall. The only think I can mark it down for is that the game seemed less polished, but I pretty much played the previous one on the last patch, so it could be the case that they will iron it out through patches. There weren't any (big) bugs or things like that, but some cut scenes and talking parts had rough animation, and some new characters were very close to being uncanny valley (although they had very few appearances). Wish I could have played it on PC (hate controllers) and that I bought an ssd for the PS4.

So nice that you can buy your own modem, over here we are limited to the crap we get from our providers. Which is usually a modem+wifi combo, which sucks at both jobs.

I get this on my own, it's not prescribed. The only drawback with Bioderma Intensive Baum is that it leaves residue, so after a couple of applications you do need to wash it away and the price of course, it's expensive.
-
That falls under eczema, no? Try Bioderma Intensive Baum (this will help a lot with the itching) and their bathing oil. The thing with seborrhoeic dermatitis is the inability of the skin to retain moisture, so you need to moisturize it constantly and avoid any soaps that will dry out your skin.

@Azdeus Go easy on the corticosteroids as they will thin out your skin after prolonged usage. Ask me how I know. If at all possible try to find an alternative that works for you, as those corticosteroids are not good for you in the long run. Also watch out for secondary infections, if you scratch the scabs odds are at some point you will get either a bacterial or fungal infection, or both. I do not know how it works for psoriasis, but for eczema if it starts spreading or doesn't go away for a long time then it's probably a secondary infection. Try not to scratch is what I'm saying...

The first 2-3 arcs are peak Shonen. There are a very few manga out there that come close. I can recommend anyone to watch the anime until the end of Soul Society arc. If nothing else the art in the manga is phenomenal, in a minimalist kind of way. Which filler arc? As for the hell arc, I think he will wait for the anime to finish, or be close to finishing.
-
970 here, what will force me eventually is the driver support. When the next gen comes out they will drop the driver support for the 9xx series. But at that point I'll just pick up some second hand crap that's out there.
-
You can always skip the fillers. The manga has been finished for some years now, but the anime never finished the last arc. Kubo has shown interest in going back to the world with new stories, so they probably restarted the anime in anticipation of that. As far as the manga/anime goes, the first 2-3 arcs are bangers (and they are pretty self contained), it starts to drop off after.

The Swimmers. I was just waiting to see what bad thing was going to happen when they went through Serbia, but thankfully it seems like the creators like Hungary less this time around. Always wondered why none of the immigrant settle down in balkan/eastern european countries, instead they need to risk life and limb for Germany, UK or Scandinavian countries. -

Got a pretty sweet edition of the wheel of time books 0-3 in my localization. I already have them in English, but in a Orbit paperback edition. I originally wanted to get the original Tor hardcovers, but they are so expensive that I always put it off. I dislike translation for stuff I can read myself, but they look so nice. Here's a reddit thread with pictures.
