I gave it a go a loooong time ago and it didn't grab me. I think I went in to it with some expectations I shouldn't have. All I remember from it is that it's weird.

I mean the reaction to her saying that and how it was handled should be telling. I do know that not all* media is like that, but the mainstream media for sure is.

Oh, I was under the impression that s2 was even more popular than s1. The books take a sharp nose dive after the short stories, so it's really not hard for the TV series to be better than the latter books.
