The excuse in LoL, the only e-sport I follow, is that mixing genders in teams will lead to issues like poor performance, potential relationships that could/will go bad thus leading to disbanding and similar things of that nature. Which, I guess, I could see being a problem, as the majority of the pros are in their teens (hormones roaring). Worth adding is that it's not forbidden by the rules as far as I know.

Oh I doubt I'm gonna go straight for the Path of Damned mode, but I will probably start on the difficulty below it. Since the difficulty is below that of IWD2 it should be ok.

Windows boot time, programs boot time, file transfer, game loading.

There is not a snowballs chance in hell that they can carve out a piece of the MOBA pie. I really don't know what they are thinking. Unless they have some revolutionary spin to the moba genre, I doubt they would even make a splash.

Have you ever played IWD2 in Heart of Fury mode? It should be as tough as that, or just below.

The ssd is the most noticeable improvement you can upgrade your pc with.

Filthy peasant, bow before Lord Baudolino05. Your poor gamer skills aren't worth the filth from our Lord boots.

Recommended it to Tale a while back when he started that recommendation thread. It's a fun little book, lot's of pop culture references and a fresh and interesting plot. Waiting for more titles from that writer.

Then we bow to you, oh gamer of such mighty prowess. For us lowly mortals gamers BG2 was sufficiently hard (and I came from IWD2 as my first IE game) and you will alas have to suffer through with the easy games that offer no challenge.

But that simply wasn't the case with the Infinity Engine games... There were strong builds yes, but they never made the combat "unchallenging".

A Question of Revenue

I'm still holding at 200k in sales. -
The problem is that moders can't touch the game, no new building can be added and no existing buildings can be changed, it's pretty dumb.

Idk, once I got to 200 people I found a pattern and just uninstalled the game, there was simply nothing more for me to do and it didn't seem like testing the pattern to 1k numbers was going to be fun. Even Pharaoh which was my favorite builder game got boring once I built everything there was in the game. There is something to be said for a game like Civilization even with it's hit and miss AI. There is no comparing games like Banished and Civ, firstly because the are different games and secondly because Civ is far superior by any measure (scale, replayability, complexity).
-
The problem with the game is that you have so little to do. You have a very limited number of buildings and the only thing you can do, is see how high you can grow the population. The game honestly feels like a demo.

My only hope is that they don't balance the classes to the degree where they are monotonous. Then there truly was no point in having classes at all and a classless system was the way to go.

The ultimate game in that genre was Devil May Cry 3. It was hard as balls and it punished button mashing like hell. Still remember that witch level to this day.

Questions about paladins
Sarex replied to JDizzle420's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
The weapon doesn't have to be class restricted in the traditional sense of you being unable to pick it up, as I said before you can make it be an ordinary sword for any other class. Also I don't have my heart set on it being in PoE, but I would really expect/like it to be in the sequel. In the end if they are really dead set against any class restrictions in any way, shape and form they could make it be a Holy Sword that anyone can wield. But I don't see a reason for being that set against class weapons. Btw are wands and scrolls class specific? -
Questions about paladins
Sarex replied to JDizzle420's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Maybe, but again the game is supposed to be a harking back to the IE games and a big part of being a Paladin in the IE games was quest for the HA. They were kind of the staple quest of those games. -
Questions about paladins
Sarex replied to JDizzle420's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
So? You don't really think that the Holy Avenger originated with D&D and the forgotten realms? If we have classical class archetypes, then there should also be a Holy Avenger. Nothing to prepare my self for, PoE is a harking back to the IE games, IE games had the HA. The only question is name, power and class restriction. I'm finding a lot of personal opinions here stated as facts. You guys may not like the HA but I assure you many of us do. As had been said numerous times if you don't like it don't use it.
