The monitor has arrived and it's freaking HUGE! As far as I can see it's all good, no dead pixels, no backlight leaking (well almost none, I think there is some in the right edge of the screen, but I'm not too sure) and no ticking as far as I can hear. Though IPS glow is something I am going to have to get used to. Pictures will be posted soon, or maybe a little later, I'm building a new desk and am going to mount the monitor to the wall. I'll probably post a few picks. I must say I had butterflies when I was turning it on and checking for defects.

I don't think Qatar was the issue here, at least for the US government, I'm pretty sure Russia is gonna lose it's spot as the next host.

I ended up ordering the LG (ultrawide) monitor, it should arrive tomorrow or the day after. I hope I get the rev 0.2 of the monitor as the chances of it not being defective are much better. Wish me luck. Edit1: Ok, so strike 1, one monitor down. Believe it or not it was pierced by a forklift with both forks, heh. Good news is that it's revision 0.2, so chances are good that the next one is too.

I heard somewhere that the guitar guy is the composer for the mad max soundtrack (don't remember where I heard it so take it with a grain of salt).

I don't see 3d...I see the opening in 3d and then everything just melts back in to 2d (except the subtitles). Not only that but my eyes just get tired from it. I figured that our cinemas just suck, but no, other people see it just fine...

Ugh, did not know that. Well not like I have anything against her, she was a fantastic character, but I do hope the next movie is more Max focused. edit: So it seems that they had a trilogy set up from the get go, that usually makes for a good sequel. Looking forward to the next movie even more now.

Idk, I think Max fulfilled his role in this one perfectly. While I may agree that Furiosa got a little more of the spot light in the movie, Max's story somehow seems bigger to me (hard to explain it). That may be because it wasn't expanded on, where as we pretty much find out everything about Furiosa. Plus the ending

The movie is balls to the wall action packed(and fun), so on that point it's really not exaggerated.

Just came back from watching it, great movie. They really captured the spirit of the original. Definitely watching the sequel, which I'm 99% sure will be made.

This is probably what I consider one of the best films to come out of Serbia, BUT be warned it is a very hard film to watch. It's some heavy ****.

Our quality of life would be much better if the west just turned their back for like a year. We would bring so much peace and freedom to our neighbors. Like this we have Bosnia that is pretty much a sleeper cell, and Kosovo that is the hub of drug import and black market in Europe, not to mention the Yellow Houses (for which they deserve the cruelest and harshest punishments)...

Not much chance of that happening as we were pretty much neutered after Bosnia, also there is a reason Bondsteel is there. Though I think(hope) we are still strong enough to protect ourselves. Things will get messy fast if they get stupid enough to go over the border in to Serbia.

50 were identified as far as I'm hearing and there were trained at that. They were smuggled from Kosovo and put in to hiding in the city until the conflict started. This was no armature hour operation and the scary thing is that there was one suicide bomber.

As no one has started a thread on this, I was interested in how much people were informed on this topic and their thoughts. As far as I see, mum's the word in the western media. Even if the conflict is mentioned, terrorism is a big no, no word. For someone countries who have such a raging hard on for anti-terrorism, things are surprisingly quiet. Here is my opinion on the matter. The Greece minister of energetic has told the Americans to **** off as far as the Russian south pipeline is concerned, and now the pressure is put on Macedonia to get rid of the pro Russian government and put an end to the pipeline. What I predict is likely to happen is another federalization, ie. splitting it up to Macedonia and Albania-Version4. This really proves how powerless Europe is when the interests of America are at stake. All in all things are getting scary.

The Garden of Words, it's a feast for the eyes and the soul. This is a movie in cartoon form, so I really recommend it to anyone. Also a something extra for those who watched it and may not know,
