Nobody cares what he is saying so don't worry too much about it.

Keep the same xp, reduce side quest xp. I would still be a minimal difference in xp, as monsters still give much smaller rewards then quest xp (if we are following the IE formula). Ok I understand now, but I don't think that would be very complex to figure out, just work. Bring down quest xp by the amount of kill xp available. This would best be done in the side quest for exploration kills and in the main quest for the unavoidable creature encounters (if you are only doing the main quest). Ah then I already addressed that in the previous post. I doubt they make an algorithm for such a thing. As I said in the previous post, make the main quest line + the unavoidable encounters on that line give just enough xp that the game can be beat and then add the rest of the xp to the side quests.

I'm all for it but in a higher level game, so sequel. -
It would have been equally as stupid. There is no point in comparing walking and combat because there is no comparison. No my assumption is "if it attacks me, I'm suppose to kill it". "If it's there, I'm supposed to kill it.", is your assumption which no one shares. What he/she is trying to say is not true. Per kill xp will not effect the outcome of quest solution, because the quest xp will be balanced to give equal rewards. As for exploration encounters, so far all we have seen is unavoidable combat, which is what I was talking about, so there is really no choice there.

Now that the backer beta has been pirated, this site is really getting hammered with viewers.

IWD was very hit and miss, while IWD2 was the best of the IE games music wise. The menu music for IWD still makes me want to stab my ear drums.

That is so stupid, in fact it made me wanna give the game a try more then it did anything to discourage me.

1.Why would difficulty change xp? 2.If the creatures are accessible beyond the confines of the quest (which makes sense if another quest can "share" them), ie. by exploring, then I wouldn't count them towards the total xp of the quest. Are we giving xp for picking locks/disarming traps/etc.? Even if we do those, the question would only matter on maybe level 1 through 3, as the xp rewards for those actions would be inconsequential. 3.I don't understand your first sentence, you need to reword it. The algorithm already exists for the IE games, why would you need a new one? Why would the system be bolted on. It's not like there is an xp system already in place for the BB.

Ok let's try this again. Combat =/= walking. I mean quests are also unavoidable and I didn't see you compare them to walking. Ok so what is the problem there? You kill monsters whenever you come across them, you are rewarded with xp, they are monsters they will attack you anyways. Not really following what you are trying to say here.

So is anyone here going to watch the movie?

Well how many times did you hear the main theme of the IE games, of course you are going to remember it better. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for the music I haven't heard it, but I will be comparing it to the best IE music (IWD2).
-
There is a difference between the 2 wouldn't you agree? Walking doesn't cost you anything, while combat can kill you and will spend your resources, not to mention that it's harder then the former. How does it encourage it? Only if you have some type of OCD and need to get all the possible xp in the game. It will at best get you 1 levels worth of xp. Again you are confusing things, we are not talking about quest here, we are talking about trash mobs. Quests and their xp can always be tweaked so that all solutions are viable. I don't get how you jumped to it being useless. It's a reward, it encourages exploration and alternate ways of playing the game.

The first bag of holding you get on the bridge after the goblin fortress. I never had a problem with the forest because I had a druid with wildernesses lore maxed out. As for the graphics glitches those happened with the coming of windows 7. I talked with the nvidia driver guys about fixing it but they only did a partial solution. Though there is an easy way to fix it, I just need to do some googling to find the program for the fix, I'll come back to you on that. -

Plus they weren't as clear as they could have been during the KS. They left a lot of things open to interpretation and did little to correct people who where getting the wrong picture. Only after it, did they start to solidify the image of PoE. Now I'm not saying the guys at OE did this on purpose, but it's what happened, for better or for worse. -

Though I never did that, I always dropped the less valuable loot for that of more value. There was never a case where I needed to drop something that was over 5000 gold(high tier item), because there was no space. This is of course for a party of 6.
