I think those "memorable" things from BG saga are "memorable" becuase you/we were younger when playing the games and thus have special fond feelings about it. It's simply just nostalgia. If PoE was made 15 yeas ago, and BG was to be released in 2015 you would probably had the same feelings for Pillars today, I wager.

Isn't that what they're doing? Not exactly, because IwD and BG were both Forgotten Realms. Tyranny and PoE are two different settings.

This just in - hiring new companions in Story difficulty gives them half their health. 1st one is Eder, no trouble there. (it rhymes!) 2nd one is Aloth, same as blondie. ... 3rd one is an adventurer hired in Black Hound Inn, but all is fine with his health. ... 4th one is an adventurer hired in Black Hound Inn, half the health upon hiring. 5th one is an adventurer hired in Black Hound Inn, half the health upon hiring.

I have a question about ligatures. Really, what is the reason behind making such a feature? I had them turned on for an entire playthrough and the amount of them was next to nothing. Please prove me wrong, because the only place I see ligatures is when there are letters S and T next to each other. I see literally no other effect. The first giveaway is in the name of the famous Aedyr Empire. I thought that turning ligatures on will give you something like Ædyr. And a certain popular lord would be Rædric. Am I missing something here?

And IF this be true, and there will be the possibility to export your character from PoE1 then I wonder what this will mean to our characters that originate from Deadfire. Shiver me timbers?

In my playthrough the most common cases were: Hiravias - while his banters appear during walking in areas, not in conversations Maneha - while conversations regarding her personal quest Zahua - while conversations regarding her personal quest Also some other minor cases, but I don't remember them atm. Yes, sometimes reloading a previous save would fix it. But then it would appear in a different character some time later.
