Regarding the 2nd issue: I think that the main reason here is that gods are not something that a mortal could be possible to create. It's the other way round, mortals are created by the gods, so the Engwithan gods are not gods per se, they just have divine powers. Sure, you can call them gods, that's an adequate title, but truth is that they are just as artificial as Pinokio was before turned to a real kid by the means of magic.

The Rogue Wish Poll
Messier-31 replied to Elric Galad's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
My main is a rogue, like that class a lot, so no vote from me. -
From the FIG.co update #9: So in the game we basically have representatives from: 1st Aumaua nation (Royal Deadfire Company from Rauatai) 2nd Aumaua nation (Huana, natives in the Deadfire) 1st Vailian nation (Vailian Trading Company from Vailian Republics) 2nd Vailian semi-nation (Príncipi sen Patrena, originating from Old Vailia) What about kith from Aedyr Empire, will we see some of them? Or Raedceras for that matter? White That Wends? Living Lands? Dyrwood even? Don't get me wrong, I admire both Aumaua and Vailians (my main is a dissident from Old Vailia), but that swarm looks like a surfeit, doesn't it? I would love to see more of them Aedyr imperials.

Good lore exposition: "Zoinks Scoob, like that's McGeezer Butterscotch, the famous and powerful wizard and stuff." Bad lore exposition: "My family comes from the Helluvafaraway town, which lies on the banks of Donotcare river, famous for their blueberry muffin pie eating contest held annualy on the day of summer solstice, and badgers are really common there"

Good call. But I wouldn't call D:OS over-the-top but tongue-in-cheek. -
Art Issue

For me the art of PoE is state of the art. Get it? State of the art art? Get it? -
Berath Blessing is basically a NG+ so that's a thumbs down But there will be nagas, so that's a thumbs up Berath is female now? I always thought that it was intentionally unclear like "In Eír Glanfath's ruins, Berath is depicted in the form of two semi-skeletal figures - one male, one female - Bewnen i Ankew and Ankew i Bewnen - literally, Life in Death and Death in Life in the Glanfathan tongue. Male and female, inside and outside, life and death - we often think of Berath by imagining two sides of coin, or the two end points of a journey.

As I said before IMO the seventh companion will be a male mountain dwarf. Here's what we know and my forecast: Confirmed: Human no 1 - Eder - male - fighter/rogue Confirmed: Human no 2 - Xoti - female - priest/monk Confirmed: Goldike - Pallegina - female - paladin Confirmed: Elf - Aloth - male - wizard Confirmed: Orlan - dual-wielding gunner - male - hell if I know Confirmed: Aumaua - girl with the bird - female - ranger Mayhap: Dwarf - male - barb perhaps? Also I think that the dwarf will be male because: there are 3 males and 3 females confirmed, so they will probably lean toward male orlan companion from PoE1 was male and here the orlan also appears to be male, so in order to differentiate it a little they won't to that with a dwarf (female Sagani), and change the dwarven companion into a male this time around I mean, come on, when it will be time for a proper dwarf companion? So it's either this or that elven dude Gacgen, he's a real mofo.
