  1. I dont think theres anything in the constitution about that. Tax, tax, tax! Well simply tax ourselves into prosperity. We cant wait around forever. Just because it hasnt worked yet doesnt mean it cant work. And I have more years behind me than in front of me so Im totally down for the US to give it a shot. If it doesnt work, not me or mines problem. I got my information from a pamphlet I found on my windshield. The numbers could be off +/- 10%.
  2. Why do you think it wont work? If Dolly can spring for things like UFE, then our government can too.
  3. No way, Jose! With the fatcats hoarding 90% of the wealth we could totally make it work by making them PAY. Well start small with UBI and UHC and in a few years expand it to UFH and UFE. Hmm, maybe I should become president.
  4. Nah, weve got Covid and "supply chain problems" to fall back on into perpetuity.
  5. I couldnt figure this out, who is the guy between Dre and Blige?
  6. Im slightly miffed that OBJ got a ring. I dislike that dude. EDIT: Also
  7. She always gets me a card and box of chocolates. Im a chocoholic you see.
  8. Heh, I just learned that in Japan, the women buy chocolates for the men on Valentines day. Then on "white day" (14 Mar) the men buy something for their partners.
  9. Can I interest you in the teachings of Pastafarian?
  10. Since today is a work day we celebrated yesterday. We went and gorged ourselves on 3lb of King crab, its her favorite. Of course I also picked up a card and flowers too.
  11. Itll be a turning point for humanity. But I cant really sus out whats important in some of the headlines; ^this reactor just broke a record for "energy extraction" but the Chinese reactor broke a record for "runtime".
  12. For work lunches my wife likes these premade soups that are offered in the deli section of our grocery store. Theyre delicious (lobster bisque is her favorite) but one day she was reading the label and that lone cup of soup represented 85% of the recommended daily intake of sodium! And frozen lunches arent any better. The only solution I can come up with is to make sammiches or take leftovers (which we already do), but nobody feels like making lunch as their trying to leave for work in the morning.
  13. Ive always wanted a Bengal! And the one kitten that took after him even has the same two stripes running from the eye to the cheek.
  14. Dont let it get you down BVC, its part and parcel for debating on this forum. I know youve been around for a while but heres a few protips of what you can expect: 1) Immediately, and vociferously, qq about any post, from any poster, that doesnt align with your viewpoints. If you remember nothing else remember this. 2) Always address the poster, not the post. Always. 3) Declare yourself the victor of the debate. 4) Failing #1 and #2, trot out a victim mentality. "<poster> aint being genuine!" 5) Its low hanging fruit, but labeling somebody an -ist.
  15. That made me go down a rabbit hole and look up German restitution: Germany and Israel: Bilateral relations - Federal Foreign Office (auswaertiges-amt.de) Daaaaamn! Is that still part of the Luxembourg Agreement?
  16. Ok where did we leave off? Iirc, obesity is greatly influenced by poverty, which is directly caused by the machinations of fatcats. But whats missing 100% of the time is any form of personal accountability. Thats because there isnt any to be had, haha tricked you! The only solution is money...loot...Benjamins...cha-ching...cold hard cash. My proposal is to provide every single person with UBI, which the obese can then use to purchase and prepare nutritional meals instead of McDonalds. After centuries of living under the fatcats rule it high time we seize their wealth and redistribute it. Just imagine what the CEO of McD earned last year! IT. AINT. FAIR. Honestly, is there anything that UBI wouldnt fix? I dont think so.
  17. Probably sugar and trans fat. Everywhere else starving people get skinnier.
  18. Food is another one of those basic inalienable human rights and should be free for everyone in this country.
  19. Obesity which is impervious to exercise-->caused by poor diet-->which is linked to poverty-->which is combated by a lone school lunch/5/7 days. We could really move the obesity needle downward in a large percentage of our children by forcing the cafeterias to provide a balanced meal! BOOMSHAKALAKA, problem solved.
  20. Theyre in there but I think they must fall under the "seasoned with wasabi & other Asian spices" description for some reason.
  21. 21.2% of the children in the age range you teach are performing physical exercises 5 days a week and are still obese? Dear gods, thats terrifying news!
  22. Get married real quick.
