Even though we have Unemployment (dole to you Euros) and Welfare (I dont know what you guys call this but its monthly money for poor people), MANY Americans dont qualify for this and are hanging on by a razors edge. No more than 1-2 bad months from living in the street. UBI, UHC and UFH would immediately ease this burden AND have the side benefit of drastically reducing our prison population (because people wont steal stuff now). Win / Win! But social ties such as family and friends are critical too. Some people have no friends, mate, offspring, etc. so they have no frame of reference. Id be easier to explain a rainbow to Hellen Keller.

That made me think of something...they say that cats dont meow to each other, only to humans. And I think its also said that the cat is meowing because it has learned that mimicking a crying child will get our attention. Ok fine, I guess I can buy that. But what I dont get is...MY cats have never in their lives seen or heard a crying child but they meow to me all the time whenever they want attention or food. So how do my cats know how to do this? Its a known FACT that most prisoners are just poor schmucks that got dealt a bad hand in life and had no choice but to turn to a life of crime. Working is hard, F-that! If we simply provided everyone free money, shelter, medicine and education then the prisons would be virtually empty in a generation. The solution is so easy, just remove all of the things in life that requires effort and we will sail into nirvana on gossamer wings.
