This is what scares the crap out of me. I think I'd cry like a Sally if I logged on one day and my toon was standing there in his underwear. To those more savvy then I, is there a way to check an addon for trojans / virus / loggers? Can you pump the file through an antivirus program or anything like that? How do people protect against that or is it just the luck of the dice?
Thanks for the link MC. Can it generally be considered "safe" to D/L from that site (do they check out the add-ons for trojans / worms)?
You're probably right. I dont run any addons as Im paranoid Im going to accidentally download some logging trojan.
Ive got a n00b question regarding WoW. How do you calculate your DPS? For example, Ill see in the LFG channel people looking for "2k DPS" for Naxx or whatever. I know my "bonus damage" is around 1350 but that doesnt include the damage of the spell itself so how do you extrapolate that out to calculate DPS?
Yeah, me too. Im not necessarily a believer, my brain just doesnt compute on "belief", but I still wear a crucifix on my necklace. You know, in case of the 2nd coming, or vampire attack.

The last two days here have been bone numbing cold. The thermometer in my car tells me it was -9F both days so far. I cant even enjoy my smoke break at work because I have to stand outside and get flayed alive by the winds. Oh yeah, did I mention that with the wind chill effect its like -17F.
Holy crap Thorton is loaded for bear in that first picture. Two heavy machine guns on his back, an SMG on his hip (which we know come in two's so there must be one on the other hip) and a pistol!

Yes, yes, weve all seen the EULA. Do you honestly think these are being rented out by big chains without a license? So what they are really pissing and moaning about is the miniscule slice they dont get from individuals and low volume game stores that resell used games. It no different from trying to charge you every time you reinstall a game.
As it should be IMO. They provided a service and were paid for it. Why do they deserve to get paid in perpetuity?
But Im not talking about depreciation. Lets say Blockbuster (movie & game rental chain in U.S.) bought 5000 copies of for distribution to their various locations. They paid for those 5000 units so why should ALSO profit from anothers business model? You know, thats part of how capitalism works.
What on gods green earth makes him think they deserve money from used game sales and rentals? Its already been paid for per copy so he feels they deserve to get to re-sell it every time? Wow.

Whats with the "age verification" stupidity popping up on certain websites? DA does it even though it nor any real information have been released yet (yes, you have to pass an age verification just to READ about the concept of the game), this link does it...what the crap? Has anyone, ever, put in an age under 18 (or whatever age is the minimum), got rejected, and walked away? No, you hit refresh and do it again with a earlier date. Stupid waste of time so the company can play "cover your a$$". /rant

I hope I get out of work before the snow hits. Were expecting another 2-4" between 3pm-12am and after that "blizzard conditions" with wind gusts up to 35mph and -20F temps with the wind chill. F-ing yay.
