Just finished MOTB
Oy, dont flatter yourself, your not the only one in that thread who feels consequence free play is acceptable. And you should really read Gorgons post thats in Slowtrains sig. I got pissed and fell for your flame bait once but that wont happen again. Try to be a big boy and avoid the name calling, or just do us both a favor and put me on ignore. Youre the one that get all red faced and poopy pants. Oh, thats right, youre not taking this sh** anymore. *snap*snap*snap* Way to massage that to get to one specific scenario to support your (now) revised opinion.

Just finished MOTB
See post 107, you know, where youve already agreed.

Just finished MOTB
Hehe, agreed. Im just throwing it back in everyones faces. Everyone had a jolly good dogpile in the DA thread tripping all over themselves explaining how it was genius that DA wouldnt let you paint yourself into a corner, but MOTB is hailed by most as a pinnacle in roleplaying and it has that exact mechanic in it. Ill lay off now.

Just finished MOTB
So the game would allow the player to make choices that could lead to an inescapable outcome of being unable to continue? Heresy! I cant believe Obsidian wasnt drummed out of business.

I enjoyed it much more because of that. Except there is - Supress. Au contraire, youve obviously forgotten the 349834598429 threads about how the curse would get to a point that even trying to travel to another location would kill you because of the "time" that passed while you travel.
-
Just finished MOTB
Well if it were done properly, MOTB would have given the player some mechanism to completely reset/circumvent the curse so you wouldnt get frustrated.

Victor Chang's killer released from prison
Thats not the same at all. Bombing the bejaysus out of people has a high percentage chance of catching innocents in the explosion. Criminal punishment is a focused deterrent on an individual found guilty by his/her peers/court system. So, it seems to me that the idividual thats been hard done by is responsible for that state due to their direct actions and society has no reason to feel bad about it.

^That sounds like poor game design. No player should ever be constrained by the choices they make.

What you did today
Hmm, good question. I havent been to the doctor in years so I dont really remember if they asked me for ID. They definately asked for it two years ago when my wife broke her toe in a wave pool in Wisconsin, but that was one of those 24-hour care places and not a full blown hospital. EDIT: I would also imagine if you were having some major procedure done, someone would have asked for ID at some point.

My friends computer
"Seperate accounts" being seperate Windows logons? My first guess would be that he is the "administrator" and thus has full access while she is a sub-account. She should check the "permissions" and see if her account is operation under some restrictions.

What you did today
The only paperwork I've had to fill out for the NHS as long as I can remember is signing my name to acknowledge receipt of medicine. Maybe thats true for the consumer (you) but the administration (them) was the root of fault in Aristes case, and I dont see that becoming less of a cluster because the government stepped in. And FYI, its the same here. If you go to the doctor you fill out a standard form with your basic information (name, address, etc...), its not like were filling out our own medical forms.

XBox 360 Update Preview
Should, would, could, but doesnt. Not only are DD prices exactly the same as retail, in countries with different currency they are frequently significantly higher then retail. It could be argued that DD is a shameless moneygrab by the producers as they obviously arent passing the savings to the customer. Less for more, yay!

What you did today
Wait, paperwork and bureaucracy go down when the government takes over? Huh.

Britain's budget deficit
We used nukes and I missed it!? Aw man.

Flash Forward
Just caught up with last weeks episode, very good. Although I would like to point out that if our intelligence officials missed but I can let that go, lol.

Victor Chang's killer released from prison
And the alternative to your fictional example is......he should have never gotten in trouble for the initial shoplifting? Or we should ust let him shoplift so he doesnt eventually escalate to murder? C'mon man, that cant be what youre saying here. Is this the school of though, if we cant beat em, might as well throw open the floodgates?

Modern Literature.. or Wheel of Time book 12 arriving..
Book 12 isnt the last in the series? Do you know how many in total are planned?

Modern Literature.. or Wheel of Time book 12 arriving..
Lol, hysterical review, especially the throwing the book part. I for one am interested in the book, god knows Ive got around a decade invested in the series. Book 11 is still sitting on my shelf unread simply because I havent had the energy to try to reaquaint myself with the story after a long layoff. BTW, I thought his widow was finishing the series.

Dragon Age
And it never hurts sales to add "spiritual succesor to BG" to the claim.
- Dragon Age
-
Dragon Age
Wouldnt that be the case of pretty much every single fatasy game created since BG?
-
Dragon Age
That brings an interesting question to mind. The "spiritual succesor to BG" title has been thrown around a lot and Im not sure what they mean. Its different characters in a different universe using a different ruleset. Besides a few nods like "you must gather your party", how exactly is it a spiritual succesor to BG?

Self-sabotage
Sadly, all my self sabotaging years are behind me. I pretty much did everything Wals describes; drank all night then show up at work on 2 hours of sleep reaking of booze, do "just enough" to get the job done, etc... But thats the young man life and now Im all old and responsible and its sickening.
