  1. Huh? To fund UHC, models show it would take a 13% increase in taxes for every working person in the country. So, theoretically, my paycheck would decrease by 13% as would my wifes, for an overall 26% reduction in our total take home monies.
  2. C'mon guys, isnt it obvious. LoF is Eddo36.
  3. Hehe, while I dont understand why Im wrong Im willing to concede that I probably am. Math was never my strong suit. Anyone willing to splain to me how two individuals suffering a 13% decrease EACH does not equal 26% total?
  4. See, this right here, this is exactly what I mean. This has nothing to do with point of view. This is just rationalising it to yourself to make it seem like they are somehow lesser people that don't deserve your support. Just makes you look like you're trying to convince yourself more than anyone else. Im not rationalizing anything. While I dont feel they are "lesser" people, they absolutely do not deserve my forced support at the expence of my family. Period. Go die in a ditch for all I care. With your line of thinking I should also be forced to feed all the homeless too right? Damn whatever negative effects it has on my family right? Give me a good reason why I should suffer an over one-quarter reduction to my families income for someone else.
  5. I pay nothing. 100% of my medical and dental are paid by the company. Although I dont get vision insurance. I suppose someone else should pay for that. See, I dont even understand this mentality. Like we have to "stick it to the man" because he makes more then me? What? *sigh* Maybe some day you will be able to see a pov different from yours. So far, all models Ive seen predict a 13% increase in taxes for all workers to pay for this UHC. Not 13% per family, 13% per person. That equates to a 26% decrease (both my wife and I work) in my families disposable income. I can not absorb a 26% decrease without significant negative consequences to my way of life. Why? So Joe A-Hole can get a free ride? Screw that. It makes me want to stab him in the face myself so at least I can have the satisfaction of seeing my money at work.
  6. I fall squarely into this category. Why the hell should my standard of living decrease because I have to support someone elses healthcare? I understand the European pov, you guys dont know the difference. You were born and raised in the support-me-from-the-cradle-to-the-grave mentality. Its your whole life. Its like asking a blind man what a sunset looks like, he doesnt know. Believe me, I too would have loved to roll off my mothers teat and right onto the governments. Spend the next 50-60 year potificating before strolling off to retirement. Im truly jealous, but thats not how it is here and its not my f-ing problem you (not you) dont have insurance.
  7. ^If youre referring to this: I think thats a typo as it directly contrdicts what Matthew Rorie said a few posts before it.
  8. Regarding #1, I believe the timer is 5-8 seconds and I dont think its possible to pause. Like you said, whats the point of a timer if you can pause. but, not in dialog, it can be paused anywhere (question 2). Regarding #5, didnt one of the devs say its very possible to miss out on major characters (Sie for example) depending on the choices and path you take?
  9. Journey to the Center of the Earth, the remake. Awful, just awful. And I like Brandon Frasier and the roles he does with action comedy. The acting was piss poor and the action sequences were so far out, I couldnt even switch off my brain.
  10. I fire my minigun wildly into the foliage.
  11. 1 "work year" = 2080 hours 2080 hour per year x 1,200,000 dollars per hour = 2,496,000,000 dollars per year Yeah, I dont think so. EDIT: I see what you did there. 1 "work year" = 2080 hours 2080 hours per year x 120,000 per hour = 249,600,000 dollars per year I suppose thats possible, if you're Bill Gates.
  12. Ok. Its not my job to raise you.
  13. Heh, sorry if that was a spoil to you.
  14. In DA, all mages have a Staff of Unlimited Pew Pew, much like the archers unlimited arrows. Low damage attack, but hey, its free.
  15. Lemme pick your brain Calax. Maxdps.com, under the cloth gear and in the helmet category, has my current helmet Gaze of the Unknown (Item level 219) rated at 305.93 DPS while a higher level item Conquerors Kirin Tor Hood (Item level 226) rated at 262.02 DPS. Why is that? Obviously one has more base SP but the other one makes that up and more with the socket bonus. Is it due to the Crit on the lower level item? EDIT: You can see them side by side here.
  16. Very cool, and look theres one for sale in AU. What color did you order?
  17. w00t! Congrats.
  18. Not quite. The old seem to have an immunity based off exposure to the 1915 (?) strain that killed a whole bunch.
  19. Two and a half men is also a favorite in my household and Rose is hysterical. I literally laugh out loud every time she enters and exits via the balcony. You may or may not know, because I think our sitcoms run a season or two behind over there, but , which I think is a damn shame.
  20. Hehe, I was staring at that first picture trying to figure out what the hell you meant. Ive seen that from a different company and on my server, they do it in front of the entrance to the AH in Orgrimmar.
  21. Down goes Frazier! Hopefully, with his across-the-boards ratings starting to circle the drain, this will be a one term presidency. I can only handle one trillion dollar charity case per term.
  22. Inconceivable!
  23. In DA, you can pause with the spacebar and que up attacks, exactly like we did in BG.
