  1. Werent guns supposed to be more powerful than bows? I thought that's what justified the long reload.
  2. Did you relocate Sarex or just a US company?
  3. Good thing in P:E there's no reason you'd want to do that, unless you thought they carried really good loot of course. Except if it has same issue as IE games that combat don't end before all fleeing enemies are dead, which is only reason why I hunted fleeing gibberlings or xvarts down. Or if that fleeing enemy is part of the quest. Also, +1 for Camping Supply talent.
  4. Iirc, Raithe explained to me that their want for independence is "coincidentally" tied to their discovery of natural gas fields off their coasts.
  5. Whos harassing her? The SJW's?
  6. Maybe you've come to terms with it what with having ~1 year to prepare. Condolences anyway.
  7. I had to use the sparkle path occasionally because I kept getting lost in the mountains. I wear ribbons of shame.
  8. Just checked and without the Quest Giver, you get a whopping 0 xp. I went straight to Dyrford Crossing, battled my way through and entered the cave. 0 xp Then I went to the Ogre and killed him as there was no dialogue options concerning the Quest. 0 xp I did however take the Ogre's head and blood. But nothing to indicate what this was all about. So all in all. You get nothing from doing this unless you find the Quest Giver. However, I decided to hand in the quest (knowing it was the farmer) and there was a dialogue to finish the quest. I did receive xp but no xp amounts showed up in the combat log to confirm how much I received. Now if anything is like this in the final game, you may me going past 'xp check points' like the Ogre Cave and not knowing there is an 'xp check point' there because you didn't click on the quest giver. Without the quest givers, this has some problems. Two come to mind: 1. You will have Quest items not knowing what these quest items are stacking up in your Quest stash. You then have to click on villagers to find out who this quest item belongs to. You may be in the wrong town or map if there are city maps involved. 2. You are missing out on xp along your route and this may have problems with levelling up. You may be just off levelling up and going past an xp check point and not knowing about it, while another player will know about the xp check points and level up accordingly. Oy! You make it sound much worse than I was anticipating. More and more I realize that the strategy guide was the best $7 I spent in this endeavor. Maybe they will need to implement exclamation points over quest giver heads so people don't miss out on content. :runs:
  9. Meh, but good to know. If that's working as intended then Ill have to remember to hoover up ever single quest while in the various hubs before venturing out.
  10. Has anyone experimented to see what happens if you go to the cave before you talk to the farmer?
  11. The whole "second bite of the apple" really aggravates me too. Goodell dropped the ball on the initial punishment and was roundly derided, so now he sees another opportunity and goes way overboard. I agree that two games was too little punishment but hes got to live with those decisions. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Rice sue the league.
  12. I find the public and NFL reaction to this video to be disingenuous. How did they think she got knocked out when the first video aired? By tender kisses on her cheek? But now seeing the blow land makes everyone freak out?
  13. This Mortar-Hunting War Truck Just Got a Powerful New Laser Cannon.
  14. With the new beta removing a lot of bugs, has it been proven that there isn't any objective XP? For example, PrimeJunta observed 1500XP for entering the Ogre cave. Is that not the case? Is that only the case because he was on the farmer quest (what happens if you go to the cave before getting the quest?) With the term "objective XP", Im referring to incremental XP rewards doled out over the course of gaming instead of only getting XP when you turn in the quest.
  15. That giant zombie thing they get is OP. Speaking of which, I recently got an epic gem that adds something like 2100% weapon damage in the form of poison (Ive upgrade it to ~2650%). Combined with my Bolas (AoE damage) Im just laying waste to everything. Granted, Im only playing Torment II, but its still pretty cool to watch entire rooms get poisoned from one shot.
  16. Do plants highlight if you are using the Search ability? Never tried myself.
  17. I think its less about elegance or enjoyability and more about establishing "opportunity cost". Also, some people got red faced by prebuffing.
  18. I think Ive seen others mention that that is a bug. FYI, the amount of Camping Supplies that you can carry is directly tied to your game difficulty. Easy = more supplies, hard = less. Ive been playing on Easy for that very reason and so far its been just "ok", imo. I find myself not using any per rest abilities because I have to "save up" for when I REALLY need them. If you are getting beat up repeatedly, one method I found to mitigate that is to equip your Rogue, Wiz or Priest with a range weapon, then shoot a mook, then run behind your Fighter, Bard, Pally. For some reason I had it in my head that this was a "feature complete" beta but Sawyer has stated that no AI has been implemented beside the dogpile script so the above method probably wont work in the full game.
  19. Urm... Ouch.... I guess that means I need to adjust my playstyle... Do anyone know why? Even Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 had healing, so I see no reason why not PoE should have it.. I believe the original intent was to remove "rest spam". The first version of resting was restricted to specific camp spots dotting the landscape but was later revised to allow resting anywhere (outside of combat and close by mooks) but uses a "Camping Supply" in the process (which are stupendously expensive in relation to everything else the innkeeper sells). Huh, I didn't know that. Very cool. Now I have to try it out on my Pally run, whats it called in game?
  20. Oh Niccolado, youre in for some harsh surprises. (Psst, theres no healing of Health or ressurrection. Because sleeping 8 hours will cure literally everything.) Man, when the general public gets ahold of this game all hell is going to break loose.
  21. How do they know the blood is from the killer and not some random "John"?
  22. For me, no. PoE feels like a kitchen sink of ideas thrown together without regard for "feel". MUST CRUSH DEGERATIVE GAMEPLAY, RARG! All my fun are belong to Obsidian.
  23. Condolences TN.
  24. Just checked and my bad, cant change the individual save file names. I was thinking what the post above describes.
