How to Fix the Attribute Design in Pillars of Eternity Part 2
Its not page count, its 500 posts. When they reach that limit we close them and open a new one because Obsidian asked us to do it like that. In the cases that a comment spans two threads and must be quoted, just press the quote button for that particular comment and copy the whole thing to the new thread. We all have to work together to get through these trying times.

The Funny Things Thread
Dude, you got weird taste. Then again, my favorite pizza has crisp bacon, cured ham, provolone and mozzerella cheese, black olives, and basil so I probably don't have room to talk. On another note, this pizza talk is making my lunch look bad. That sounds....delicious.

Discussion: the PoE beta xp system
I think there's a significant difference between being required to kill 100% of all ogres to get all XP from ogre killing and being required to kill 50% of all ogres. You can skip individual ogres, groups of ogres, named ogres on quests, and still gain all of the XP. Sorry, I don't understand. What I was trying to say is that by granting "some" kill XP in the form of beastiary XP, then PoE will still be incentivizing killing if for nothing more than maxing out the beastiary XP, which seems to go against one of your design goals. Whether we kill 50% or 100% to get the XP, you have reintroduced "killing just for XP".

How does that modify gamer behavior away from degenerative gameplay? Now players will kill everything up to the limit because the "game's basic mechanics systemically rewarded that behavior." It doesn't even prevent the "sneak by then kill" example. Well, I guess it will after the number is reached and players are capped for that type mook?

BBQ pizza is actually very good. Another odd flavor that's probably only available in Illinois, but pizza with Italian Beef and hot giardiniera is awesome too.

Can we get per rest Health restoring abilities/spells?
Me too. I don't care what anyone else thinks, this is a single player game that I will be playing at my own pace. Having to go back to an inn may be "realisitc" in a certain sense, but it doesn't equal fun game play. Honestly I would prefer a system where stamina regenerates out of combat. In battle, after your stamina is depleted (taking hits, performing strong abilities, etc.), you begin to take health damage. Health can only be recovered by resting. As your health gets lower, the amount of stamina you recover post battle also decreases. The key difference here is you don't take health damage until stamina depletes. Sensuki already made one that gives 9999 Camping Supplies. PM me if you want the link to download it (although I cant vouch for how long he will leave it up).

The curiosity is killing me and I cant help but feel that Im reading that wrong. Is the reasoning that his browser will not point to forums.obsidian.net or that he is not able to use the login feature when he gets here?

Can we get per rest Health restoring abilities/spells?
Yep, that's the point of me using them. I prefer to tackle encounters at full party strength, maybe not every trash encounter, but definitely for larger / important encounters. EDIT: And as Sarex points out, saves me from schlepping around.

Im definitely down for some Health healing. Potions, spells, class abilities, resurrection...bring it on. But since I can just sleep off any damage whatsoever anyway, and Ive been hooked up with unlimited Camping Supplies, I don't really have a dog in this fight.

Per-rest vs. Per-encounter
Aww, went straight to the butthurt? Perhaps you should review what you posted: As someone who is just reading this thread I got to say this is really unbecomming of a forum moderator. And as far as your discussions goes he did say ie gameS. You gave an example of ToB. Which was expansion to a sequel of a game and only at high levels. What with BG, IWD, PS:T BG2 early etc? Gosh, I hope Ill be able to make it through the rest of my day. Although I do agree that it is sad when simple conversation cant take place without someone getting all insult-y when someone disagrees with them. We can only cross our fingers for a better tomorrow.

Per-rest vs. Per-encounter
Aww, went straight to the butthurt? Perhaps you should review what you posted: Arguing a technicality? Thats all you got? You made a blanket statement about the IE games and were incorrect. You can redefine the conversation as much as you like: "I meant low level", "I meant only part of the time, "I meant not ToB".
