Shouldn't Health and Endurance Be Switched?
Im not a fan of the two bar system. Extra muddle just for the sake of not being like D&D, imo. The names are unimportant to me but I will admit I was initially confused that the larger area of the portrait wasn't Health. Did that change in the subsequent two builds? Ive only played the first build so far.

Stronghold options
I assume there is some benefit to torturing captured NPC's. Maybe ransom? Maybe intel? Maybe directions to some awesome loot? Im really stoked about the stronghold. It one of the things Im most looking forward to.

Shouldn't Health and Endurance Be Switched?
I want to be challenged by the encounters, not the games mechanics, so I wouldn't mind to just regen to full Health after every fight. "Attrition" is just another way to make fights harder. Not a single mook in the game will be below 100% capabilities when we encounter them (full Health, full spells, full skills/abilities). If the only way to make encounters dangerous is if my party is at 1/4 capability because I just fought 3 other mobs then that's a boring campaign, imo.

What's on the idiot box... Part 3
3rd episode they remark about how lucky they are all the evil metahumans have died since prison can't hold them, then start refitting the particle accellerator as a makeshift superprison. RAAAAaaaaRrRgggRGrg, I keep forgetting to set my DVR because Flash conflicts with a couple other things recording. Ill catch up tonight. Some great emotion out of Caitlin this episode, the girl in lab ... I am much more invested in her character. Rocks that skirt like nobody's business, too. Caught up with ep3 and each is stronger than the previous episode imo. The lab girl is growing on me too. Reminds me of Emma Watson for some reason. Must. Remember. To. Watch. Tonight.

Will spells in this game retain the same power and impact that they had in BG and BGII?
The transition from daily to encounter to at will implicitly means spells scale by level. Using nine fireballs in an encounter is way more powerful than nine acid arrows or chromatic orbs. Frequency does not equal spell power. For example a spell that does 5-10 damage at level 2 isn't going to be useful at level 12, no matter how many times I can cast it. Unless Im out of everything else I guess.

That's a great point. I hadn't thought of that.

I have a feeling that they don't scale because the higher level spells are just the scaled spells of lower level. Need to check though. I believe they are, but why not scale them instead of making a new spell / name? I was wondering if anyone knew why the devs took that route.

Dev sends death threat to Valve CEO, has game removed from STEAM
Except he didn't remove it. Mike, the guy who posted the naughty tweets, voluntarily sold his half of the company to Travis, at least that's what's publicly stated. The amount of 'let's punish that guy!' or 'that guy deserves @)#($!' in this thread is disconcerting inasmuch as it's a reflection of our society. This attitude is in part why we have overflowing prisons in the U.S.. Eh, I couldn't care less what happens to the bigmouth. I was trying to express that the best thing the partner did for the company was remove the cancer (I mean he totally "resigned".) The prison reference made me lol though.

I never understood why spells don't scale in PoE. Is there a particular reason? In the expansion, will it be called Fireball9000? I really hope so. That will make me lol.

Pranksters troll food experts with "Organic" McDonalds
You have, I assure you, unless you are a vegetarian. Even in Europe, where food regulations are harsher than in the US, a pretty large percentage of meat packaged as beef was horse meat, mostly from old neigh-sayers that were lying dumped along Romanian roads like road kill. Oh, and all food is organic. I've always thought that this term is so misrepresentative. Not that I dont believe there can be some percentage of horse meat inside beef, but why? While horses die every day I cant imagine there is some kind of industry to sell off a few carcasses a day. It cant possibly be cheaper than a cow. Whats the advantage?
