  1. When PoE was first introduced, there were no misses, because people got red faced when their low level party would miss in the IE games. Thankfully that went away and the miss/graze/hit/crit system was born.
  2. 12? I want to level up more :D Me too! I want to reach god slaying levels of power but we'll have to wait for the expansion / PoE2.
  3. You do it daily, why not Obs. The game will be balanced around the crit path. So if you do nothing else you will be around level 8-9 by the end of the game. Then there is all the side stuff. If you do everything in the game you will end around level 12. Oh noes! What will Obs do to prevent such a level disparity between the crit path player and the completionist player? Nothing. As it should be.
  4. There is no level pacing problem, because Obs can count.
  5. Trap xp should be given to the entire party and not just the trap disarmer. Like beastiary xp.
  6. Yes, because the devs wouldn't have any possible way of calculating what the aggregate xp gain would be and adjust the levels accordingly. If someone, somewhere, opens ~50 traps game wide then the whole game will be broken. *nods*
  7. There are only 5 skills in the game (Athletics, Stealth, Survival, Lore, Mechanics) and you can have up to 6 characters. Characters can have more than one skill. You only need one character to be good at certain things (Mechanics, for instance) and you'll be able to open all the locks and disarm all of the traps you like. I understand that but not how it pertains to the conversation. Im poking holes in peoples silly claims that the mere existence of something "forces" them to play contrary to how they would prefer (IE: Claims that they cannot resist "farming" kill or trap xp because lack of self control.) I think that's stupid and shouldn't be a drain on resources trying to prevent.
  8. Good luck Labadal.
  9. Huh? In a "rolls" based system people could just reload until they win. In the case of hard checks you have to wait until you reach a certain number to be successful. Now those lacking impulse control will be "forced" to backtrack the entire game to get the xp that they cant live without. Oh the humanity! Im not following, please elaborate.
  10. Good? What kind of monster are you? Now people will be "forced" to wait until they level up the disarm skill and then "forced" to walk back to wherever that trap was to disarm it for the xp.
  11. So Obs develops an inventory system to save people from the "degenerative gameplay" of walking back and forth to gather loot and now they should nerf the economy into the ground to prevent people from selling stuff from the unlimited inventory? What?

I was going to buy the Wargame Pack that includes: Airland Battle, European Escalation and Red Dragon but I already own European Escalation. Airland Battle and Red Dragon, while still on sale, were individually more expensive than buying all three together and I wasn't sure what would happen if I buy a pack containing games I already own. So, I did nothing and missed the sale and now the same pack costs $49.99 vice $12.99 sale price. I have the sad.
  13. The des have stated that PoE can be beaten by following nothing more than the crit path. The examples of having "requirements" to do this or that to complete the game are false.
  14. Life is tough when everyone doesn't agree with your opinions? As for my play style; Im a unrepentant save scumming, resting, xp hording player and I couldn't care less about how someone else plays their single player game, or what they think of mine. Hard to digest, I know.
  15. Agreed, he/she makes me lol constantly too.
  16. You're finally getting it. Im so proud. Or, you know, don't push the button that ruins your game. Genius!
  17. It always boils down to "I cant control myself". Its the same reason we have no healing, limited resting, unlimited inventory and no kill xp. Anyhow, Im down for all possible forms of xp gain. Full speed ahead!
  18. I play on Easy to ensure I get the maximum number of Camping Supplies.
  19. I miss Prosper. Good luck Qistina.
  20. This Is What Plane-Mounted Laser Guns Could Look Like.
  21. A reasonable tradeoff. I've played many games and can't remember any where backtracking to your stash was fun. Hell, Ive never played a game with unlimited inventory! I agree its a reasonable tradeoff but ultimately kind of pointless imo. After 2-4 weapon sets and the individual inventory that every toon can access, how often would people really be going into the stash to find something they need right now?
  22. Afaik, the stash is only accessible while resting (Inn, camping). But while resting in every inn and on every campsite = still anywhere... Pretty much, but those options require the expenditure of resources. You cant access the stash while just walking around or in combat.
