How many devs still working on the pc version?
Darth Ni replied to Demigod's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The answer to this question is : NOT ENOUGH (in my opinion) -
Get The Word Out On Game Sites like 1up!
Darth Ni replied to Dead Skin Mask's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Even though I haven't played KotOR II, I can say with confidence that XBN is full of idiots. They gave the game a 7.3? and they gave Fable what 8 or above? They also gave HALO 2 a 9.8 or something which is waaaay overrated. HALO2 is a good game but there was too much hype surrounding it. Anyways, coming back to the point, I know for a fact that KotOR II is worth a lot more than a 7.3 -
The reason the PC version is taking forever is because most of the KotOR II crew has already transferred to NWN II and only a select few are still working on the PC version. Once again Darth Lucas leaves us poor PC users with nothing....

I would like some info on Atris w/o ruining the story...

Reason for console version appearing before PC
Darth Ni replied to ZekeWolf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
They are probably trying to make money... think about it, people would prefer the pc verison over the xbox. if the pc version didn't come out first and some people really want to play the game, they would buy the xbox. then, there are those people who after playing the xbox will want to buy the pc. through this process, they will make more money. -
Damn... I am not going to read this.... I have control. I cannot read this stupid thing.... aaargh!!! I cant take it.... why couldn't this come out for PC first?

I guess we PC users will be absent til February
Darth Ni replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'm probably leaving. I don't want spoilers because otherwise, there is no point in playing a game if you know what will happen. Farewell (atleast until February :D). Do not worry my PC brethren, the wait will be well worth it. -
Where can I buy this game on Monday?
Darth Ni replied to JediMafia's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe he has multiple personality disorder. One day he flames the game, the next he wants to buy it. -
darth_nemesis, can you please delete this topic since you have posted it twice?

"Yea seriously whats the dealio, I'm gonna get both versions and you'll find me at my tv or computer the day they are released!" In the end its your choice but, why would you get both? Isn't it a bit of a waste of money?

Jedi Consular/Jedi Master Single Bladed Lightsaber with this type of crystal: "There are even rumors of an exceedingly rare type of crystal that bonds with its owner, becoming more powerful as they do. The bond is so great that the crystal's capabilities and color even vary with its master's alignment towards the light or dark side of the Force." FROM IGN KOTOR II Lightsabers article Character Head : I'd have to see to decide... (definetly not "Obi-Wan" type) STR 11 DEX 11 CON 14 INT 14 WIS 14 CHA 14

I would buy a Mac if I had the money.... 1)Intel Processors are 32 bit, the G5 is 64 bit 2)Apple sells dual processor systems while if you wanted an Intel dp system, you would have a hell of a hard time getting one that plays most games 3)You can get 8GB of DDR SDRAM ofcourse Intel now has DDR2 which is faster but meh.... 4)The apple cinema displays are pretty damn cool 5)You can put a 6800 Ultra in your system so graphics aren't a problem 6)Its obviously faster because pretty much all the algorithms have been hard coded into the processor 7)AND THE BEST REASON, NO BSOD!! (Blue Screen of Death)

Yea you suckers will be sitting back crying for a month while us Xboxers enjoy the game for what it is... and not sitting around next to a keyboard eating cheese and modding a game that Obsidian has already worked so hard to develop. Good Work! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> T3M4: If you any of you wish to beg for mercy, the great (erm... not really) Hutt will listen to your pleas PC Users: T3M4, you tell that slimy pice of worm wriggling filth to get no such pleasure from us, right? *Fight scene erupts and the Hutt dies* The moral of the story is not to become an XBOX owner.

Its pretty cool how in KotOR II there are differnt lightsaber forms just like in the JA and JO II series. Ofcourse, in KotOR II this will be expanded a great deal since there are seven and you can learn six out of seven forms and in the JA and JO II series, there were only 3 (light, medium and heavy).

Anybody know all the Colors ?
Darth Ni replied to shahmirTSL's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
there are a lot more possible saber combinations in kotor ii. not only do you get to choose the colour (its known i know but...) you get to change things like the lens and the power core and whatnot. you can probably change the thickness of the blade. also, there are some crystals that change colour depending on the affiliation of the wielder. pretty damn cool. there is something like 10 million combos just so you know and you can have many, many colours. -
This is so typical of Mr.Avellone and his team...
Darth Ni replied to Claws's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I definetly like this game because you get to explore your true character. also, there is something deeper than ls or ds in this game. one example is: if you see a beggar who wants 100 credits what do you do? if you give him the credits, he will get killed by thugs who want them if you dont give him the credits, he will die of starvation what would you do? (im not sure if staying and protecting the man is an option) -
from what i hear, the first few hours of the game is running from your known enemy, the sith. then, i believe you go from planet to planet searching for the hiding jedi masters and then bao-dur helps you create your lightsaber. after that, i saw this rather cryptic line from the ign review that says something greater than the sith lords is threatening the galaxy's existence (not just the republic...) here is the exact quote: Your 45-hour journey across the galaxy is about much more than just discovering your character's true nature. Believing you to be the last of the Jedi, the Sith pursue you tenaciously. But the Sith are not your only enemy. Something is threatening the galaxy. What it is, how it is to be stopped, and your own role in shaping the future of the Republic won't be answered until the very end of your adventure. http://xbox.ign.com/articles/569/569096p1.html?fromint=1 ofcourse, the more obvious reason to "WHY KOTOR II" is: TO MAKE MONEY? WHY ELSE WOULD YOU SPEND MILLIONS DEVELOPING A GAME?
-
Some Info: I believe the IGN review said that there was something greater than the Sith Lords that threatened the Republic's and the whole Galaxy's existence. I think that Part of KotOR II will be hunting or stopping that "thing" whatever it is... Here is a quote from the article However, I doubt this would be the game icon. It would most likely be Darth Nihilis since he appears to be the main villain in the story.

Somehow, I doubt Kreia would be extremely fond of that idea
-
I saw on a thread that apparently Visas Marr is blind. Maybe if you were strong enough, you could use your force powers to help her regain her eyesight. This could probably gain you a lot of influence. Also if you comfort her or make her "feel welcome" you will probably gain influence though this can be said about all NPCs. Kreia too may also be blind and again, maybe you could help her if your skill with the force is high enough. Ofcourse, I doubt you would be able to help her regenerate her lost hand (heh heh ). Atton appears to be a character with a shady past so maybe you could help him rediscover his history. e.g. he has no memory of his parents or hasn't seen them for years and you could help him find them (e.g. the Mission - Griff or the Zalbaar - Chuundar quests) Any ideas for other characters? ONE MORE THING: Visas Marr and "The Handmaiden" are 2 different people but if Visas Marr looks evil to you, she will remain with the PC no matter what happens ofcourse, the magazine could be wrong.
-
Yup, this was confirmed in the IGN Lightsabers article for KotOR II. You can learn 6 of the 7 fighting styles and each are useful in different situations e.g. to repel blaster fire, to fight with other sith etc.

I never thought i would say this

Darth Ni replied to Ronil Organ's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh well... its not like we can force Obsidian to release the PC game on December 6th well, technically we can.... [Force Persuade] : You will work day and night to ensure that KotOR II for PC comes out on December 5th (to mock the XBOX people) without compromising the overall quality of the game [success] : Yes... master.... I will work.... Yes.... on to work.... -
If you ever feel the need to play console games, buy the game (unless your a cheapass and you download) and get an emulator. Spend about $100 and buy an adapter and controller and whatelse you might want and play the game on your PC.
