which character do you like best for love quests??
Darth Ni replied to BastilaShan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Thats a dissappointment. Hopefully some modder will improve the game textures. It can't hurt to hope... or can it? -
Ok... so you got to play it before us. Will the bugs reported in KotOR II for XBOX be fixed for the PC Version? Yes and it will be out in 1 1/2 months anyways. Its not a huge wait especially since games like HL2 are out which are PC only if I might remind...

He said its for all his games. Are you now implying all games have messed up engines? Its definetly not the game's fault. Contact the manufacturer and get a replacement is my suggestion.

It would be unlikely we'll get a pic unless someone decides to hook their xbox up to their computer monitor or take a pic using digital camera (which wont produce great results if I might add...). -
***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 3 WISHLIST***
Darth Ni replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
1) The ability to explore your party member's more thoruohgly e.g. more sidequests, and dialog. 2) Better and more romance options. The romance subplot should go deeper. 3) A more developed influence system. (From what I hear, it needs some reworking) 4) The ability to remove your hoods and other miscellaneous things e.g. making a proper walking animation... Its much more menacing if you walk towards something then always run and the walk option in KotOR I looked really stupid. 5) A better character appearance development system. Instead of selecting from a list of 30 heads, you should be able to build your heads up from scratch like in the Sims 2. 6) Improved graphics. Not that I'm complaining since the K1 graphics looked pretty nice but for a brand new game, improved graphics are needed. 7) More complicated puzzles. The game should focus on combat and thinking not just walking into a room and blasting everything to bits. A more non-linear approach to things e.g. like in Deus Ex : Invisible War. -
"Vodo-Siosk Baas? Hasn't he been killed by Exar Kun several years ago?" Thats what I heard. Interesting... Atris is a Jedi Master huh? (haven't played the game so its news to me)
-
Fine fine fine... accepted. With all the variations in computer hardware, there are some bugs and some compatibiltiy issues.
-
Actually, I haven't really played any of the game because I don't have it yet... I was just wondering. I'm a pathetic PC user, please have mercy on me.

Can I win back the Handmaiden's love
Darth Ni replied to Darth Carth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Is she really worth it? I mean I want to remain LS but is it possible to... "accidentally" tell her to try and jump into a chasm or something. e.g. PC: [Persuade] You should prove to me your bravery by jumping into a chasm Handmaiden : [success] Ofcourse, I will do as you command PC: Oops, umm... I didn't know how deep it was. I'm truly sorry Handmaiden. -
3 words : Save Game Editor When it comes out for PC... hehehehe
-
Hmm... Do you know how far this relationship can progress?

I kind of liked Revan considering you don't hear anything hear anything negative about him. He was: A) A brilliant strategist who saved the Republic, practically a genius on the field B) He had a thirst for knowledge C) A powerful jedi with powerful force powers D) He could inspire others to follow E) He didn't hesitate to fight (showing he wasn't a coward) F) He fought for what he believed in though some would argue his loyalty was fickle as he changed sides whereas the exile was: A) A fallen jedi whose connection to the force was severed B) I'll know more when I play the game My opinion may change but I probably doubt it will... PS : I'm sorry for not being politically correct by not using he/she. Please don't kill me

How many forms do you know?
Darth Ni replied to darth_nemisis's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmm... I think I got it thanks Mahf and NNTakot. I guess then that if you are looking for a balanced player, you should go for Consular/Weapon Master or Gaurdian/Jedi Master or the Sith equivalents. -
What is it with the new wave of hotshots?

LucasArts was already working on KotOR II even before the original KotOR was completed. This is why they were able to deliver the game a year after KotOR was released. Maybe in the halls of LA, they are already hard at work on KotOR III but they just don't want to officially announce it. I must admit though that this is most unlikely as they laid off 31 people (old news, i know...) who were part of the KotOR III pre-production team. Who knows though? KotOR III may come out next year. I guess all we can do is hope.

Lol no, thats when I get my PC...

How many forms do you know?
Darth Ni replied to darth_nemisis's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I haven't purchased the game but I know that you can learn a maximum 6 out of 7 of the lightsaber forms (without a savegame editor :D). I'm guessing that there are 5 universal forms and for the sixth form, you can either learn one from a sith master or a jedi master or something... -
Are we resorting to insults now? Is it not possible to have a civil discussion or do I need to read crap such as "do not be so rude like handicapped child". I was just giving specifications and you come in and act like a smartass, who is being rude now? For your information, Athlon-64 processors are on sale and they have been for atleast a year and yes they use the hypertransport technology which has a 1600mhz - 2000mhz bus speed. As I said, please visit the Alienware website or if you want check out www.tigerdirect.com. If you can show me tangible evidence that is contrary to what i posted, show it to me. In other words, Link it.

I would go for Atris even though I don't own the game. -
Wait a second, didn't the developers for KotOR II say that you would explore all your NPC's backgrounds thoroughly or atleast more than you did in KotOR I? It can't be all that bad can it?

The performance depends on the application used. While amd cpus are often faster in gmaes, intel cpus are recommendable for other multimedia tasks. Athlon FX fsbus speed is 166mhz or 200mhz respectively <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Um... You might want to correct your post there This is directly from the AMD Website On the Athlon-64 processor, the fsb ranges from 1600 - 2000 mhz (as stated above and NOT 166 or 200mhz...). Confirm this with any computer retailer such as Alienware. Also the Price of a system w/ DDR2 and PCI-E is around $1500 which is a modest price. Also, I didn't say get an Athlon-64, I was merely commenting about its performance. HINT - IT HELPS TO READ A POST THOROUGHLY BEFORE MAKING COMMENTS. Only on the paper. Only useful for incredible high textures. Today this is no issue, AGPx4 is still fast enough (transfer rate of 1.1gb/s ). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well you see considering the fact that in 3DMarks the difference between AGP4X and AGP8x is about 1500 marks, I think it makes a major difference. However if AGP 4x suits you, use it. :D Only on the paper, the few less ns(=nanoseconds) make no big difference. The amount of is far nore important. Yes, but not needed and extremely costly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The price of DDR2 memory isn't extremely high as currently you can get a 512mb module @ 400 or 533mhz for about $99 US from Kingston. I just wanted to clear that up

Um... yea but the resolution on a TV is much lower than that on a Monitor. Unless you have a 30" LCD TV, the resolution cannot compare with what you see on a Computer Monitor. Also, when you play XBOX games at higher resolutions, you begin to see the frame rate drops. I don't have an XBOX but I've seen it at my friend's house. If you take a TV with a resolution of 1280*1024, you will notice the frame rate drop considerably. About the 733mhz thing, if you have a fast enough graphics card and enough ram, you probably could run KotOR II on a 733mhz. The thing is that XBOX doesn't have such a memory intensive OS like Windows XP so it doesn't have to devote the kind of memory to ensure OS stability.

Can I win back the Handmaiden's love
Darth Ni replied to Darth Carth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Just gut her... The stupid Handmaiden isn't worth it if she gets insulted by a simple comment. I hear she is a Stowaway on your ship, I would kick her off my ship... stupid stowaways, NO ONE EATS MY EMERGENCY RATIONS (stupid Sasha...). Stupid Count : 3
