Oh poop, this is episodic. Why?! I want to play a full story from A-Z, not just a bunch of loosely connected shennanigans. And Guybrush looks like a grunge singer with aids. And I would asume the reason why it isnt classic 2D is because that would require them to hire oldschool 2D animators, which are very rare and expensive. Not to say that proper 3D animation isnt ridicilously complex and hard, because it is.

Not horrible, just brutal to start of with. Once you get the hang of the controls and some money in your bank, it can become addictive. But the story is bad. X3: +Pretty -The slowest game in the history of mankind, just finishing the weak story will take hundreds of hours where 99% will be just waiting to arrive at your desitnation -A severe lack of information on how to play the game and how to accomplish missions makes the learning curve more like a wall -The only actual gameplay is shooting stuff and that isnt much fun -Really bad control interface, you'll need to click deep into menues for simple basic stuff -Its really boring -The missions can be extremely frustrating because of insufficient ifnromation and bad contruction. Its also very easy to break them. I hate it, I really do.

No disrespect Kirottu, but you suck. That doesn't make any sense, I'm sure you mean you treat everyone with the same amount of respect before you get to know them. No it isn't false. Even EA sort of admitted it that they screwed up the mouse controls. Yup. The mouse+keyboard controls are extremely laggy. I think they did something insane like not making the cursor framerate independant

Did EVE online kill space sims? Its more of a shame that people are still doing Space games that work very well, but are completely unplayable because they have no idea how to make a story and design gameplay. X3 looks really good and it could be lots of fun, but the story is nonexistant and the gameplay is horrible.

The NWN franchise died a long while ago, its only fitting that they dress the carcass up in rags and parade it round as an MMO.

Gave Prototype a try, it's a clearcut case of Molyneux syndrome. They've been hyping and talking about the designers idea, not the actual game. It seems decent enough, but unpolished and none of the features are anywhere near as cool as the hype made them out to be. They also make the mistake of having cutscenes with lots of closeups, but the characters only have very basic facial expressions and are way too low-res for it to look good. Still, I think its worth getting once the price goes down.

Fine, Ill just play it vanilla then. Im running Vista x64 and it starts and runs, but I dont know how stable it is.

I just got a copy of freelancer, because i felt like space after going to see Star Trek. I know there is a very active and hardcore modding community that have done a ton of cool stuff that would enhance the experience from just playing the vanilla game. The problem is that I have no clue which mods to run, so I need some help. Im just going to play the singleplayer campaign, no mutliplayer for me.

The left one has a distinct facial advantage over the right one, and in a situation like that, the lower attributes should matter less.

Yeah, everyone Ive met from the dev team are really nice people. Their problem is probably with the management, who seem to take all the wrong turns and put their money on really horrible game ideas.

Is it really full-price though? It seems more of an expansion than a whole new game

The first game was a complete mess in every aspect, but this might be playable. But Avalanche has a pretty bad rep in the industry, so I wouldnt bet on it.

One of the things that really helps against procrastination is structure. Clearly write up exactly what it is you have to do and in what order, then do it. And when you do it, you need to structure the work itself. The enemy is the moment you find yourself staring and the screen and not having a clue on where to begin (or go on). Thats when the brain wants to zone out. Like just now, I HATE writing reports and **** and it always takes forever to get around to writing it, aswellas actually writing it. But if I structure up the paper beforehand with dummy text and paragraphs, its much faster and feels easier. You just kind of fill in the blanks. Structure, aight? If you're a 3D monkey like me, its like when you try to make something without concept art or a drawing of some sort. It takes atleast three times as long for the same result.

L4D was so good that I would gladly pay just to get more levels to play. L4D2 I will buy withg a vengeance

I bought TOCA3 off GoG, it's much better and more fun to drive than DiRT and GRID but the menues are extremely buggy.
