I start clawing at the walls if I dont have an internet connection, if I had to stay away from everything electronic it would be.. straightjacket-time. I mean, without electronics and/or computer all you could do would be: A) get drunk B) go to the bathroom C) get increadibly drunk

BREAKING NEWS: NEW DRAGON AGE GOTY TRAILER
Kaftan Barlast replied to Llyranor's topic in Computer and Console
The graphics looked much worse than previous trailers, the animations were almost nwn-ishly stiff and unnatural. -
Fallout 3 DLC Broken Steel out Today!
Kaftan Barlast replied to GreasyDogMeat's topic in Computer and Console
It's 800 ms points, which is $10 for americans and €10 for us euros. €10 is actually USD13.2 in real life but microsoft cant seem to be bothered about that tiny detail. ..and there is no pirate release, so you cant get it that way. -

I just replayed the ending with BS enabled, it actually made sense this time! -

Well, well, mister fancypants. I may be a huge troll, but my taste is impeccable. -
Fallout 3 DLC Broken Steel out Today!

I just bought this, so in a few days you might get a completely truthful and unbiased opinion on its qualities. -
And the trend continues. "Better off ted" which is absolutely brilliant and in the same spirit as AD, looks like its being cancelled mid-season. WHY?!?! 2

The masses already have the awesomeness of AD, but I still cant understand why so many people didnt like it when it aired. Its like THE most downloaded TV-show in the history

Fallout 3 DLC Broken Steel out Today!
Kaftan Barlast replied to GreasyDogMeat's topic in Computer and Console
I dont care anbout new perks at all, what you want is more stuff to do. The last DLC was quite pointless in that it was just an FPS scenario without any real story or roleplaying going on. But it does sound a lot more interesting than the previous DLC because its supposedly a continuation of the story and not some random crap thrown in. -
Dont install Win7 unless you actually want your programs to crash randomly.

Like the vast majority of comics nowadays its aimed at teens-to-adults, with some versions and inprints being "for mature audiences". Kids wouldnt be able to understand half of what was going on anyway, so there's really no point in trying to cater to them.

Velvet Assassin comes out this week.
Kaftan Barlast replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Computer and Console
I said i tried it, I dont own the game. I wouldnt go out and just buy a game that I wasnt reasonably sure Id enjoy. And I do own a very large number of games. If you check my steam( "Kaftan" with the jesus licking bowling ball) its gots some games on it there aswell for proof And Im not a member, but I will be voting on PP for the EU parlament election comming up now because we dont want anymore limited game installs or copyrights that last 3000 years. But on what I said before, this might very well be a decent game, its just that it didnt suit my tastes. -
I thought Id give that new Wolverine movie game a try because I was bored, even though I dont ever play movie-merchandise games. But you know what? Its a REAL GAME! The controls are spot on, the graphics sweet, animations great, gameplay fun and its gory as hell. Not gratuitous schock-gore, but just what you expect to happen if you cut something living with razorsharp claws; severed limbs, flying intestines and so on. Though apparently this is a special uncensored version, the regular one has magic pixie dust instead of blood.

Velvet Assassin comes out this week.

I tried it for about an hour. Technicly, it doesnt seem so bad but it is quite uninteresting. I dont know why, but there was nothing to motivate me to continue playing. -
I dont see why you would have to change anything for a console version of the game. The only thing is that you might have to add a tiny bit of auto-aim/snap-to-target so people can aim with the thumbsticks.

But as I am without a doubt the cleaverest and most witty man in the country, I shall not write the greatest chat-up line ever. Instead, I offer some sound tactical advice. If you are a bit on the heavy side, fear not. Just let me introduce you to Edvard Blom, swede extraordinaire: He is a pale and chubby pile of lard, yet he is an incredibly popular man here in Sweden and abroad. His secret is that he is extremely cultured and knows everything about everything, he can talk endlessly about this for hours on end. This coupled with interesting dress and paraphernalia is sure to overwhelm any woman(or man) is his vicinity. If i was to apply his methodology to my writing skills, it would be a conversation like: -Hello there. *pipe in hand* -Hi. -The name's Walsingham. You seem like an extraordinary person, and so Ive got an extraordinary question for you; have you ever contemplated the extinguishing of an abstract fire with concrete means? *point with pipe* -No, no I dont think I have. -Good, that would make you a very strange person. Could I buy you a drink by any chance? *hearty laugh* and then just roll with it from there

You could go in there with a million men, but the second you leave the warlords will turn up again to run the show. Once a country crumbles to pieces like Afghanistan did, its so hard to bring civilisation back that it borders on the impossible. Its been 30 years since they had any kind of stability, so vast majority of the people have gotten to used to chaos that they dont know anything else. Brining civilisation and order to Afghanistan is like trying to get corruption out of Latin America, its just ingrained into the mindset of the people.

There is nothing wrong with women from southeast asia. What is wrong, is when you order one on the internet. In socialist sweden, the daily show watches YOU.

DD has some minor roleplaying elements, but it was definently a lot more grinding than anything else. It had more in common with Diablo than Baldurs gate 2 or the Witcher.

I dont think you're going to find that sort of experience unless you play with a team/clan/group of friends. The current trend with having levels and upgrades and so on encourages playing for points, so youre not going to get teamplay on random servers. And you're confusing co-op and multiplayer. Co-op is when you can play with other people against the computer in the campaign/story like if you were doing it singleplayer.

Braindead hack 'n slash GRPG? No thanks, I played the first game and it made me vomit with boredom. also note: dragons ARE NOT COOL, OK?! They never were and never will be.

Velvet Assassin comes out this week.
Kaftan Barlast replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Computer and Console
German developers generally have a very different approach to how a game is designed, and german gamers also seem to have very different taste. This along with lower budgets, leads to games that people outside of germany find awkward and unplayable. But this isnt a problem for them, as there are enough german players buying these games to keep the developers afloat. Germany is a very inbred place gamewise, german games for german people. -
Velvet Assassin comes out this week.
Kaftan Barlast replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Computer and Console
Asked my friend and apparently it was a beta build, so feature complete but with some bugs to get rid of and a bit of tweaking. But what kind of german game is this? Is it a local thing meant for mostly german players thats being exported, or is it a proper game meant for the international market? -
Americans set to get standardised/universal healthcare
Kaftan Barlast replied to Humodour's topic in Way Off-Topic
To be serious for a while, I think that any system below universal healthcare is inhumane, imoral and unethical. To let personal wealth be a factor in wether a person lives or dies is bad enough, but to actually make it into a bussiness is just plain wrong. -
Velvet Assassin comes out this week.
Kaftan Barlast replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Computer and Console
Some friends of mine played it at a convention, they claimed it was sub-par but I dont know if I trust their taste in games. edit: I just read its a German game. Thats enough of a warning flag for me, not touching it.
