I thank you for your very kind advice gentlemen. The finnish plan sounds like it could work, as I go there several times a week. And yes, Moose, I saw what you did there. Not in Sweden, it doesnt. Sending unsolicited flowers or a gift of any kind to a girl you're not intimately familiar with, is not socially acceptable. Unless you're Alexander Skarsg

Dear Montgomery, How do you flirt with the girl behind the counter at the supermarket without being a douche? We normally dont talk to strangers in Sweden, but I feel it would be proper in this case. yours, K. p.s the person who wrote this letter is not the person who wrote the letter

NSFW: The end of Mel Gibson's career (thank non-extant gods)
Kaftan Barlast replied to Humodour's topic in Way Off-Topic
Excellent point. Tom Cruise has some very bizarre opinions, but he seems like a generally well-intentioned guy. Mel Gibson seems to be an intolerant bigot. Im not so sure. Tricking thousands of people into joining an evil cult that brainwashes you into giving them all your money and cease contact with your friends and family, seems slightly worse than being an ill-tempered bigot. although he is a great dancer... -

No one can beat Tom Cruise in the nut-factor department. Mel is just a slightly racist angry man that doesnt think before he rants. -
Today at Kaftan's "Continued work to setup a useable workflow for vray elements in nuke. Had a strange gamma problem that went away by itself, it should have been linear gamma at 2.2 but it seemed like it was the inverse 0,4545. But that's not the main thing, which was that I solved the bug causing white fringing and artefacts in the global illumination pass. Turns out vray apparently isnt entirely compatible with a blend shader using ambient occlusion as a mask. I wish we would migrate to mental ray, but that's not going to happen." Its so incredibly interesting I can barely contain my delight.

Anonymity on the internet should be a right. If you're drunk/angry one night and write something stupid somewhere under your own name, thats going to come up with a simple google search for years afterwards. Its like every phone call you ever made was recorded and accessible to anyone with a computer. That might have disproportional consequences like not getting a job you applied to because the recruiter googled you and thinks you're a douch.. or a girl turning you down cause because she googled your name etc. etc. Just the other day a swedish blogger was arrested for "hate crimes" because someone who accidentally stumbled on the blog didnt like a nazi-related joke he wrote to his friends and called the cops. Just a tiny thing like that can have a major impact on your life. If that guy gets convicted so that goes on his record, he wont ever be able to get a job, rent an apartment or join a political association. Part of our special deal for signing up with the EU was that we could keep our policy of openness regarding official documents, info and so on. -

My real name is unique, so any trolling I do without a cover will be right up there for anyone to see for years and years Ill have to change it to John Smith, Phineas Merriweather, Norbert Nipplebottom or some other really common name so I can hide in the crowd. -

As spokesperson for the international trolling federation, I condemn this heinious attempt at keeping us from our favorite hobby. -
I totally want to play another game where you mindlessly click your way through hordes of uninteresting critters in generic fantasy setting. I only wish they would do that borderlands thing so every sword is really just the same old sword, but the text in your inventory changes color.

The problem was the teleporting knife attack. He'd be on the other side of them room, then suddenly warp right next to you and take you out with a single stab. I assumed I had to damage him to make him stop, rather than just avoid him so that made it a lot harder. But mostly it was the horrible controls, Id try to jump out form behind cover and run only to find myself crouchwalking whilst staring directly into a wall somewhere.. whereupon Brayko would teleport next to me and stab me to death.

As a Swede born with ice in my veins, 25C is very hot indeed. The Swedish brain will actually stop working at anything above 23,9C as has been proven by one of our institutes. Swedish man trying to work at a scorching 24C

The AP review was old-school Yahtzee, just dead-on hillarious critiscism. The Mike Thornton is a douche/ponce/annoying idiot parts were especially delightful since it was my exact opinion.

I just want to pitch in and say that games are the way they are today, for good or bad because; with the tech available today, making a game is a massive undertaking requiring up towards a hundred people and 10+ million dollars for production alone. With that kind of money at stake, you cant afford to make a niche game (or so the executives think). And if you DO make a niche game with the tiny budget youll be able to scrounge up, the odds are that most people will just go "Why should I pay

When you let programmers design interfaces, you get confusing garbage only that programmer knows how to use. In the computer animation bussiness, these programmers have driven countless good men insane with frustration. programmer did it: http://www.ose.tuxfamily.org/linux/app/large/blender1.jpg reasonable person did it: http://images.gamedev.net/features/reviews...o-interface.jpg ..Im not even going to mention "that horrible sculpting app" where even a simple thing like opening a file requires you to look up a tutorial.

I bought a Speedlink Meduxa NX 5.1 gaming surround headset They're very comfortable and the sound is very good, but its designed for gaming with a slightly different frequency range than audio headphones. So while you can hear an enemy sneaking up on you from a mile away while being shelled with mortars, music needs to be run through an equalizer or it will lack acoustic prescence. My Senheisers I use at work sound better, but doesnt have this kind of distinct clarity. The 5.1 surround really works, too. It actually works so well that these headphones are banned from esports, tournaments and competitive clan games.

I was actually planning to take this up again, since I hated the influence system in AP even more than Kotor2. Encouraging metagaming isn't necessarily a failure. A roleplayer will simply play through it twice. Once metagaming to see all the content (the first time for me), once roleplaying to really get into character (the second time around so I know I'm not missing anything critical or truly amazing). Replaying the game is not a real solution. But wether or not encouraging metagaming is bad or not is kind of subjective issue. For me, it means not playing the game how I want to play and enjoying myself, but rather being forced to play "guess how the designer think you should do this". Its kind of the same thing to have the option to use either a pistol, shotgun or rifle in an FPS but if you use anything else than the shotgun you miss out on some content. All options should be equal and no choice should be punished.

I have tried and failed. The old volvo was too heavy for just three people, we were quite drunk, we lacked any kind of tool or pulley system.
