  1. Its out?! Damn, why didnt anyone tell me?
  2. Why havent anyone reacted against this whole bussiness of having to costantly repair and recharge your equipment?! What possible other function does it serve but to really annoy the player? Recharging magic swords is in fact so much of a hassle for my fighter that I just dont bother with them, its much better to must have a straightup regular sword that doesnt run out of ammo. This is a "feature" that Bethesda should really think about removing in the upcomming patch.
  3. Ive bought my house and all the furniture, and now I cant really find any use for the money I make. In fact, I feel like I dont really have a goal anymore I mean, sure I could finish the main quest but after that itll be REALLY pointless to keep playing.
  4. I prefer the Fallouts over PsT. Theres something about the Fallout setting that just hits me right where it counts, whereas PsT is downright depressing at times. Turn-based SPECIAL also puts FO leagues ahead of any IE game in terms of gameplay. FO combat is always tons of fun wheres the IE games only get exciting in the big boss fights with lots of spellcasting.
  5. A fun thing about selfishness and altruism is this "question" that is asked to aspiring priests studying Theology at University: "You could end world poverty and starvation right now. But if you did, you would have to live the rest of your life alone in a clay hut and you could never again listen to music, read, watch tv/film or play a game. Would you do it? Would you REALLY do it?
  6. What do you mean "Im fine"? If Im not part of another guild, I can turn the grey fox in to the authorities? ..and since I have no plans on replaying this game my plan is to join all the guilds and complete all the quests Extra: Brilliant AI moment! I was walking around in the Black-something mercenary guildhall in Leyawin when I saw this guy with strange armour. So, I pulled out my sword and killed him right there in front of all his guildmates and looted his corpse to see what that sweet armour was. Did they attack me? Did they scream and shout? Did they call the guards? No, nothing happened. They didnt even react. I wasnt in sneak mode or anything, I just pulled out a claymore and whacked him. I mean, thats not even AI. Thats just a question of flagging me as hostile when I attack a non-hostile entity.. but I guess QA missed that one "
  7. You go on ahead and use that thesauraus of yours but we just like to call it trolling around here, Mr. Fancypants "
  8. One other thing where Oblivions "non-linear linear story" really buggs me is I dont like the sound of that. Maybe Im better off just loading an old save and never becomming Grand Champion? Oh, crap.. I just realised this seems to have triggered the Dark Brotherhood quest.. and Im playing a nice character
  9. You're a bad, bad man Mr. Kreku. :'(
  10. Yes. See, you can have your finger in the "good-pie", or you can put it in the bad one where its just bad. GOOD: -Right -Unselfish -Nice -Not fat BAD: -Wrong -Selfish -Jerk -Fat see?
  11. Ive just made Grand Champion of the Arena and... :'(
  12. isn't that the same thing about almost all comics? Some big strong guy able to smash through stuff? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. So, why not only make just another one, but then also hype it because its supposed originality and awesomeness?
  13. I believe we had a "Which is the best CRPG measured by quality and not personal affection" thread too. Ask our resident necromancer to resurrect that one too. p.s Josh is still reading it
  14. And Josh is still reading this thread. That worries me.
  15. No, YOU are. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Im like totally not!
  16. You're just saying that because you're a damned communist.
  17. Ive just read my second Hellboy TPB, "Conqueror Worm" and I fail to see why this is such a hyped comic. The art is nice, but its essentially just about a big strong red guy who is invincible and has a stone hand that can punch thorugh anything
  18. Most programs will give you "You appear to have altered your system clock, No soup for you!!!"
  19. Youre supposed to have access to minimum Dwarven Armour at lvl17, the norm on glass armour I think. Could it be so that some enemy has drained your luck without you noticing it? If your luck is below the starting 50, you will lag behind in the "arms race".
  20. Ive spent the last few hours of Oblivion looting different random dungeons so I can get enough money to buy furniture for my new house. "Nesting" is fun and its good to have a home for your character but I think it was better done in Bloodlines where you get better accommodations as you progress in the storyline Says who? Add another 40% to that and you might get the actual figure.
  21. Nuclear war ceased to be a viable option the moment Soviet developed their first nukes. And nowadays the chance that a nuclear "sneak attack" would disable the retaliatory capabilities of the US or China, is so low that its ludicorus to even think about it. Your ICBMs would be in the air and heading for China in the same minute that the fishing-boat nukes appeared on the radar.
  22. I really hate to give a numeric value to a game. I just don't know how to assign the numbers. I would unreservedly suggest this game to anyone, however. I've spent hours playing and it's still fun. The game isn't flawless, but it's damned good. I'll edit in a repost of some earlier comments. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> wicked I have to admit the more I hear of this game the mor eI want it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I even like this game, and thats after months of building up hate and loathing so Id be ready to dismiss it as the crapfeast I was expecting. But still, as a CRPG its not very good. Had it been done on the IE engine I would have fallen asleep with boredom and uninstalled it long ago. As a CRPG: 2/5 (its really an action-adventure where you can make your own PC) Just in general: 3.5/5 (nothing special but fun enough to play)
  23. Has anyone found a good way to solve the Glarthir mysteries yet?
  24. Revolutions require very special circumstances to occur and I dont think the situation in China is such that this can happen. Most of all it requires the nations police and military to feel that they can benefit more from a revolution than stay loyal to the goverment, and thats not going to happen in China.
