Hey, Hades aint one tenth as unskilled as a girl I talked to who gave up playing K2 because she kept running T3M4 into the walls in the intro and getting stuck I imagine itd take her 5 minutes just to successfully hit the START menu in windows " (and no, she is not suffering from advanced parkisons disease not is she in any way handicapped)

Yes, it comes on a single DVD. I wish theyd send me a complimentary bag of candy to make up for the fact that the Swedish release is on the 28th, whereas the US and UK release is on the 25th edit: Gah! Apparently the US release is today and the UK release is on monday the 24th -
I thought it was well established by now that Drizzt isnt into girls? " He'd just have a midlife crisis and run off with the gardener boy. Not to mention that he might not be comfortable with her being much higher level than him and so on. Not to mention the fact that she belongs to that tiny minority of Drow that are actually EVIL

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey review

It just ticks me off that I have the game on pre-order but theres atleast two pirate releases(an xbox version and a 6cd PC version) out there already. So no matter where I turn, theres always some bastard with spoilers to share. -
Can I play my lvl 21 half-fiend, half-drow sorceress? Shes 11' tall and flips out and throws maximized AND quickened fireballs like all the time. And you cant kill her cause shes got like 400 clones hidden everywhere from Sigil to Baldurs Gate so she always comes back and flips out again. sweetness.

If nothing comes up tonight, Ill be there to observe (and spam " )

If you put pickled onions in the microwave theyll explode and sometime theyll give off flames too! ) (this is actually true, and it wont hurt your micro one bit)

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey review

Thats not even a questing player. Just admit it, you're a Hack N Slasher " -
1. Clever bards play something they can bring everywhere, that cant be taken away from them and that wont burn to cinders if someone throws a fireball on you. Which means, they just sing or recite poetry. That way they know theyll always be able to use their powers even if the DM lets the party be captured by goblins who disintegrate all their equipment and chops off your arms and legs. ( its actually a classic DM thing to go "Im tired of the PCs using their magic stuff to get out of tricky situations" and arrange for them to be captured or robbed so they lose said equipment ) 2. NA. 3. No, every single class in D&D is aimed at filling certain roles in combat. The Bard is very weak in combat but D&D = lots of fighting

Then an adventure gamer are you not. Still, most people dont actually like Puzzles in the sense of "heres a random rubics cube" but rather logic storyline-related problems that need to be solved. Things like NPC X being kidnapped on his way to meet you in order to give you some vital information and now you have to gather clues to where he ius and who is kidnappers are, that sort of thing. -
Nice How many lines of code did you have to type to get this far with the engine?

D&D 3.5 aims to be a very complete system with a rule for every possible situation that can occur during play. Youre also supposed to be able to play it as a pure miniatures game, thus all that stuff about combat grids etc.

"How to design Adventue games 101" Good puzzles require logic, memory and/or deduction Bad puzzles are trial-and-error The rubber duck, although somewhat logical when you had the solution, belongs to the bad category or the "use the bicycle pump on the chewing gum and leave that in the tarpit to get the penguin to drop the frisbee" category -
You only need to look at two tables; the one where you see what feats etc. you get as you reach each level (pg. 22 PHB) and then the corresponding table for your class (entire 3rd chapter) where you can see your BAB and resistances etc. But VtM makes more sense to me aswell

Japcore is just another form of pretentiousness, even worse IMO. -Kaftan.. this is your inner voice speaking.. -Yeah, what do you want this time? -Dont you think its wrong to repirmand Baley for being pretentious in his choice of music whe we listen to horribly pretentious, symphonic, progressive, jazzrock proggrock? -No. -Oh, alright then.
-
*beats Baley wih the stick of pretentiousness*

I was listening to Gentle Giant - Proclamation. 1970's Proggressive rock > almost everything else

The strangest thing Ive seen was some boxing match on TV where this guy floored the other boxer with a punch in the side. He must have hit him HARD because those guys usually take like 4-5 in the face and remain standing.

When I first heard of the term "slap me happy/happy slapping" was in reference to strange pornfilms where thet participants would beat eachother while having intercourse.

What bugs me is that its never something useful in locked chests. Im level 15 and typicaly its just a little gold and a potion or two, never weapons, armour or magic items with the exception of soulstones.

What kind of music one listens to if any (the concept that everyone is supposed to enjoy music is fairly new and came with the invention of radio, before that music was a special interest like poetry or painting) is a definite measure of creative intelligence. People who listen to pop music do so because theyre not interested in actively listening to music, while people who have more specific taste(or actual taste) actively listen to the music with great interest. This is a sign of a more creative kind of intelligence, as opposed to "good grades" intelligence. Great thinkers, writers and artists ALWAYS have a developed taste in music while engineers, doctors, lawyers etc. MIGHT have it.

Damn! I had forgotten all about that What do you think he/she did? Wouldnt it be an interesting turn of events if it turned out you were jailed for something really uncool and creepy like rape, prostitution, trafficking, spouse-beating, child murder or making a coffee table out of a hitchhikers ribcage? I think that would make a lot of players very uncomfortable

Been to my first Game Developers Conference
Kaftan Barlast replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Developers' Corner
That was what I meant too, although Im not sure if the people I heard were going to put up a unified corporate front. Makes sense, though. And note that its not the goverment taking over all the devs in.. Czhech-land, its a bunch of indie devs grouping together under one flag. Actually thats how the capitalist cornerstone of Corporations were born, from joint ventures like these.
