I friggin' cannot believe this game. It is as right as rain.

Ooh, ooh! I know what those are! Columnar lava jointing! God, geology is the best. Great photos.

What, fake signatures, that's not right. The whole reason I supported--one of the main reasons I supported the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter, was for the signed headshot from LeVar. If all I wanted was a facsimile, I could just do it myself and call it an autograph ... that's not right, at all.

Update #82: Creatures
ManifestedISO replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
Say we sneak past the xaurip horde and kill the dragon without them knowing ... whew, imagine the look on their faces. Your god is dead, you little badswords, now come work for me ... said my dark paladin.- 151 replies

Truly an extraordinary game. No screenshot can do justice to the pretty pretty. And the music ... christ. Have only played an hour, but it feels as though I got my money's worth, already. Started with a fighter and a rogue, brunette and redhead. Very attractive pair with posh Brit accents. Love it.

Oh, that explains it. Nightjar. I thought, that is the most weird-ass name for a product in the history of--what the hell goes into jars at night ... dentures, quarters, vinegar ... flowers, probably, at cool people's houses. Then I looked it up, and it's the name of a bird, as well as a modular, fanless PSU from Silverstone. Never, ever, ever heard of it, before.

Backer Beta: Coming August 18th
ManifestedISO replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
Gameplay footage in six weeks! Quick, send a note to the parents of those complaining about the lack thereof. Actually ... no, don't. -
That is a really good question, especially as it's a signed edition. Somehow the signature has to get on the box, and then to Norway. Which then makes me wonder, where will the box originate? Irvine? Sweden? Two printers, maybe? One in the US, one in Europe? Are they sending signed editions from Irvine to Sweden? Are they sending the Obsidian crew to Europe, to sign a bunch of goods? Where do things go first in Europe, anyway, who has the main port ... so many questions I have.

Evidently the PoE public's focus is forgiving because the instance of beneficial animancy far outweighs the scary corpse-animating research. Sawyer said, "a great deal" of animancy goes toward "beneficial things," so, for there to be minimal community outcry, it must follow that animancer villains are either ultra-rare in number, or more successful in secret.

Pity the pitiable, not the insistent and insane. Normally I can ignore it, but I think I may have had a bit of undigested beef or a fragment of underdone potato.

Oh, yeah, no, totally, Obsidian pays their people by the hour ... which kinda sucks for the company, since the minimum wage is soon to rise. I don't know about you guys, but I've seen the third-world sweat-shop where Obsidian sews their garments and doo-dads ... it is literally blackened with soot, windowless and cramped like a closet. When one worker finishes a design, they have to clock-out and stay at their station until the foreman comes in with more penciled instructions from the writing staff huddled in the basement. Pretty sure that's how it works, anyway.

Attribute gains
ManifestedISO replied to Namutree's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Hmm, yeah, I like the idea of static attributes, except improved only through the use of magic armor or rings or items. It would put a premium on finding wearable stuff. -
I don't know, they have some swank, pricey glass on their artist's gallery page. Probably not super dog-friendly for an entryway centerpiece, however. That's weird, I buzzed my noggin, too. Way too sticky and hot already to have a hair helmet.

I just had the best idea ever. I was checking up on The Golf Club--which is still in Early Access, version 0.90, and pretty well-reviewed--and I thought, the humidity has been terrible this weekend ... but then I also remembered how much I enjoyed the N64 golf game, Waialae Country Club, set in Hawaii, and then it hit me: RECREATE WAIALAE HOLE FOR HOLE with the custom course creator in The Golf Club! In luxurious 1080p, compared to the 64-bit Nintendo game. Oh, man, I'm pumped, now. And something else that was cool--finally, the recommended PC requirements list a 660 or 7850 2GB for GPUs.

I take it back, someone did notice.

I can't think of any more infamous last words than, 'she were extreme attractive'. Except maybe, 'no one can see us'.

Hiding helmet option

Hide the helmet ... erm, no romance allowed. -
A noogie and a fart, simultaneously ... Otiluke's Resilient Fartoogie Sphere. Gonna make a thread for this spell, maybe it'll get noticed and implemented.
