Great article...
Only ten days until 5E Player's Handbook comes out. Don't know if I'll get to play, so much, but reading will be fun.
-
What are you playing now?
A single-player game, with an unrelenting story and my choice of getting scared through stealth, or purple twinkie bricks during face-to-zombie-face combat ... amazingly fun. Played three straight hours already today, in The Last of Us Remastered.
-
Will there be any humor in the game?
I can't think of any game I've ever played that didn't have one laugh. Even this apocalyptic zombie game I'm into now, The Last of Us Remastered, makes me smile sometimes.

Update #83: Backer Portal, Backer Beta, and Wasteland 2 Keys
Somewhere, someday, someone will complete a doctoral thesis on comment psychology. "Twenty-one percent of responses each from twelve percent of control group B1 entrants produced qualitatively false data expressly for the purpose of consideration by other entrants to elicit regard as 'knowledgeable' and/or 'skilled'. Most-numerous themed incidents qualified as 'simple ultimatum' based on 'dissatisfaction' after completing false data construct. Most-numerous repeat turn of phrase, 'I'm taking my ball and going home if you don't play by my rules'."

The Funny Things Thread.
It's alright. When someone's crappy team gets plowed under, steamrolled, and obliterated, it makes them lash out and cry so insistently, it penetrates Ignore Preferences.

Don't do that, go head to head with an enemy in a face-off.

of goblins and orcs..
Wouldn't that be a Kobold? Look at the pointed head and the scales. I have never heard of any game system that has portrayed Orcs with reptilian features. It's a draconian. Good-aligned dragon eggs (bronze, gold, silver, etc) are corrupted by dark magic, creating humanoid dragonmen. Some explode when they die, some turn to stone, some turn to acid, some have wings and can fly, some are strictly magic-users, all are powerful. From the Dragonlance universe, originating as a D&D campaign. Draconians were indeed an alternate race to the orcs, which don't exist in the setting. Goblins, yes, orcs, no.

Rangers Getting Ranged Attack Animal Companions?
No undead ostriches. Am disappoint. Also, if you've ever played Far Cry 3, you never want to see another cassowary ever again, ever.

That is a properly horrific rat tale. Makes me glad to live in semi-arid conditions, which I think precludes bastard-great finger biters. Also, is Hackney the place, the origin of hackneyed the term.

It is damn difficult to save face after losing one's head.

Shadow Realms? (You've Been Chosen)
That house, it's sinking--it's not her fault. It's not her fault. I understand that's a real danger in Florida. So is it like Heroes, the TV show. Normal humans become empowered, accidentally. I seem to get Chosen every time I play a role-playing game. Edit: Wait, hold the phone, I see my favorite lotus blossum femme fatale from Newegg on the back page of that video. Joanne and her new gaming computer ... I must watch that. Double Edit: It's gone now. Random selections. Here she is. Triple Edit: This one's even better. Hot girl. Baseball bat. Laptop.

Guess the release date!
Are we guessing the initial, officially announced date, or the actual date of release ... just in case of delay.

What you having for dinner tonight?
oh my, what ... Reese's Peanut Butter Cups-flavored creme Oreo cookies. Yes. YES.

What you did today
Walked in to the men's fragrance counter at Macy's, like a manly man in need of manly fragrance, since the Kenneth Cole has spritzed its last, and picked up a pump of Bleu de Chanel. I know chicks are supposed to buy for their dudes, and women can be exceptionally appealing in all sorts of circumstances, but relationships longer than this sentence are dangerous, expensive, and shallow. Haven't opened it, yet.

The Funny Things Thread.
Oh man, my accent-listening card is revoked. I said I thought those two filmmaker guys were from Oz, and, of course they're from the UK, working in London. I'll show myself out. But not before Funny Things time. Remember Little Golden Books? So does artist Joey Spiotto. Okay, last edit. I picked up this one.

What you've been drinking lately.
Something called Boulevard Brewing Double-Wide India Pale Ale: "Relax, it's twister-proof." Based in Kansas City, they're being ironic about tornadoes, not the cork sealing the big 750ml bottle. I'm seeing this more, and more ... beer in wine bottles with corks. Actually, a pretty nice flavor. Really clean finish, medium hoppy, golden caramel color. Quite drinkable.

Cool, a big head avatar to match my own grandiose, perpetually self-important, unstoppable entitlement complex as a video game project backer.

Great article...
PALADIN OF SLAUGHTER The only art character I recognize there, is Wulfgar, the "barbarian fighter," from Salvatore's original Forgotten Realms books. Crazy how some artists are still to this day, instantly recognizable, Elmore and Caldwell. Jeff Easley was the other period master, and Keith Parkinson, god rest him.

Odd SSD Behavior
Hardware doctors would say your PC suffers from digital hypochondriasis. It's a common problem, generally improved just by talking about it.

What you did today
Water actually fell from the sky, today. I'm told it's a phenomenon that does occur on this planet. A damp, cool Saturday, after months of sun--thank god, or whichever Saint sent the stormclouds north from Mexico.
