Jeremy Soule?
argan replied to LordsWeapon's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
He has done some great music (Icewind Dale, Morrowind, Guild Wars (and especially Eye of the North expansion), but his work is a bit repetitive now. -
Lockpicking Mechanics

Absolutely no bloody minigame. If it's marketed and we've pledged money for an RPG, it's better damn well also be an RPG. Your character skills decide success or not, not how easy it is to beat a stupid minigame. -

Nothing else needs to be said. Well, to be fair, you knew the type of game that you pledged to on Kickstarter. A spiritual successor to "old school" RPGs such as Baldur's Gate which definitely didn't allow you to "respec" or something like that. I fail to see how Obsidian living up to their promise is "taking the game away" from you.

I got quite far in DD, but then a computer crash made me erase my games. A shame, I really really enjoyed it.

Hi, So I have a question, just in case I misunderstood this: I added 30$ extra because I want the soundtrack CD and the deck of cards also. This should be specified in a form they sent out, right? Have any of you guys received this? I'm not in a hurry or anything, just wanting to make sure.

Congratulations, Osbidian!

Yeah, I know that logically is should like DLC. But seriously, there's something about creating small add-ons all the time and slapping them onto the game afterwards. I very much preferred the old way of making expansion packs. Maybe I'm just living in the past too much.

Are there DLC that adds weapons and stuff to multiplayer only? I so hate DLC...

Alright, thanks. I got it, and tried it...to be honest, I didn't even reflect upon the subpar graphics...I was too stuck trying to determine what kind of character I want to play. The first time I played as a diplomatic dude with a skill in firearms, so I want to try something different now...perhaps a stone-dumb brute.

I liked Honest Hearts, but I really did not enjoy Dead Money. I don't know what it was, but I just wasn't having fun with it. Wasn't too fond of Old World Blues either, way too wacky to fit in well. Actually, Honest Hearts was probably the only DLC I liked...but then again I don't like the entire concept of DLC either.

The music that they looped at the end of ToB; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNkfhEvqxmo Still get chills when I listen to it, even on winamp! It is probably a lot due to me associating that game and the predecessors to a lot of things, though. And this is another classic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtBgcnV8Ztw

I feel an urge...to replay it. Don't have time...but I may anyway. Is it modded with hi-res, patched etc if you get it from GOG?

Fallout - My favourite, remember playing the demo when it was released and then getting the full game. Fallout 2 Arcanum Deus Ex Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 2 Neverwinter Nights Knights of the Old Republic (very enjoyable, but crap writing) Knights of the Old Republic 2 (far better than the first, especially the characters and theme) Temple of Elemental Evil (though I barely remember any of it, I remember enjoying it) Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 2 (one of my favourites) Vampire: Bloodlines (simply excellent) System Shock 2 (just amazing. Still have the first one that I got from eBay some time ago, but haven't gotten around to it yet) Planescape: Torment (of course) Fallout: Tactics (far better than given credit for) Jagged Alliance 2 Morrowind (never played Arena or Daggerfall, though) Icewind Dale Divine Divinity The Witcher The Witcher 2 My backlog: Icewind Dale 2 System Shock

Well, I did enjoy the Mass Effect games. Especially the first one, which I found awesome. The second one was still quite good, but the third one was okay. The writing was pretty crap, but I enjoyed travelling around in the galaxy with my crew and exploring planets. In the end, an enjoyable Gears of War-clone with some light RPG elements. The ending was a massive failure, though. What were they thinking?

Kickstarter for Old-school RPG manned by Brenda Brathwaite and Tom Hall
argan replied to C2B's topic in Computer and Console
I just don't have the money for this. I don't get it, here it says that the project is no more http://lootdrop.com/ But there's still an active kickstarter?
