  1. The form that you need to fill out hasn't been sent out yet. They are probably consolidating the list of everyone that sent in through Kickstarter and Paypal, checking to make sure that they combine the ones that did both methods, those that sent in payments multiple times through Paypal, and waiting for Paypal donations to end. Then they will probably start sending out forms for you to fill out. Probably another week or two before people start seeing those forms.
  2. Wow, absent from the forum for recuperation from the Kickstarter... Come back and this thread is already on page 21 o.O. Welcome all newcomers!
  3. Use support.obsidian.net Edit: Updated the email to one I found in a thread.
  4. The best thing to do is go ahead and send them an email. Include your kickstarter account name and link to your profile, and include the paypal emails reference number and any other details to help them sort it out. They are going to be busy I assume because of a large quantity of email and sorting going on now that the kickstarter is over, so if they don't respond right away just wait a while.
  5. Even if your card is declined through Amazon, you still have the option to change it to another card through Amazon for, I think, 7 days. Or you can go through Paypal if you want.
  6. Some might not go through to people that backed with no intention of actually doing it, and others might just not pay attention and get theirs dropped because of incorrect CC information.
  7. Even if we remove his name, all in all OO managed to raise another $4,300+ by starting the Order. Doesn't look like a lot compared to the total that was pledged, but it's still nothing to sneeze at.
  8. They have no definitive answer yet. I would expect a couple days, but don't quote that as truth.
  9. Well, they may have went over their goals, but they still have to pay out the fees associated with Kickstarter and Paypal. I don't know off the top of my head how much of a chunk they will take, but any amount now will still benefit the development in the long run.
  10. I can only hope so. I am tired of being hand held through my playthrough of a game. What the industry really needs is a kick in the collective rear, and to bring out some new innovation. They have moved away from the old roots and gone to a more simplified system (not every game). I hope PE creates a big enough wave in the gaming community that developers perk up and take notice.
  11. It will most likely take a couple days before they send out emails and wait for all the payments to process to ensure the people get the correct ones, and those who backed out of their pledge from non-payment don't get one. That's about all I can speculate on it.
  12. If you do try and go through Paypal to update your pledge reward email them about it. Include your username for Kickstarter (a link to your profile if you can), and also the Confirmation and Reference Number of the Paypal email for what you pledged. They 'should' be able to verify both and hopefully give you the tier for the pledge you want.
  13. I'm gonna go with optional also. They will probably find a way to implement it as sort of a side quest (for those who want to actually complete it), but I do not see them making this a main completion requirement. Some people don't want to go through the whole thing just because it is needed, just like others will gladly spend hours/days (depending on total size) exploring every nook and cranny.
  14. Thank goodness I only answer to my stomach. It's going to hate me for the next month or 2 until I recoup from my pledge. I broke down and pledged a final total of $1,008. So if you see Strom the Beggar in game, please don't kill me.
  15. And again, welcome to the newcomers and final attendants, and thank you to EVERYONE for making this a possibility!
  16. If they DONT, its a major bummer. A backer is a backer. Don't worry, they do:
  17. they actually plotted out 15 levels, which i hope we still hit after all the final numbers are counted up. i just want to see their original vision Man, 15 levels is a lot just thinking about it. Especially if they make the map size the way we think they are. And also, since Paypal pledges are counted we are at 14 levels, and they are still taking more Paypal pledges for a while longer. I can't wait to see the final count and the total amount of floors they put in.
  18. A little over 4.1 million I believe. Also, congrats everyone for making this become a reality. Thank you big amount and small amount pledgers. Without both, this would never have happened.
  19. Paypal usually runs on their own little system. I had a separate charge through Paypal (because you can only use 1 option to pay an amount on Kickstarter), and it was already processed. Paypal charges usually take 1-2 days depending on when it was charged.
  20. Both are added together into the final goal. We were what, ~$15K from 4 million, and I believe the Paypal was at around ~$140K - $150K. All told, they managed about $4.1 and some change. And also, they are keeping open Paypal Contributions, so it really isn't over yet.
  21. I am really hoping that the leveling system for PE will allow for this dungeon to be fully explored without ruining potential to import your protaganist from PE into PE2 due to level cap, but with another huge city being implemented now as well as having one already, plus a stronghold, am I crazy in thinking that there will be too much content for a carryover into PE2!?!? That depends on how the carryover system works (depending on how they do it). I have seen some where it is only your choices that matter. They take the choices you made in the first game, and base the starting and reactions of others in the new game. Some will do a full import (I believe) but you are back to level 1. You keep things like gold and other random stuff. If they implemented something like this I could see them carrying over things like your fortress and your reputation based off of choices and whatnot.
  22. Hopefully it won't be something that broken. That would sort of defeat the purpose. I could see a small random range that is used to calculate what your character might get based on what has happened. I don't want randomness to gimp me though.
  23. It would be interesting if to access certain levels, or tiers, you would have to bring a particular artifact from somewhere else in the game world. It could become a fun mechanism for pacing the dungeon & also potentially providing a chance to delve deeper into lore of the setting and research. It could also be tedious if done the wrong way, or for people who just want to storm through. That was one way I was looking at it. Another way is sort of a mix of things. Monsters are too hard on a floor so you need to come back. The next time an artifact is missing that is used to unlock the door to delve deeper. So to proceed you must take all the previous clues you have learned from your exploration so far (these clues change per playthrough for randomness) to find this long lost artifact. The next is a puzzle based system that you need to work through to keep proceeding. Lots of different ways to set it up so that the pacing is right (hopefully), and it isn't just something that you can clear at the middle, or at the end, for no real reason. i want a reason to explore this monstrosity. Some might just want to clear it all at once though. It is a delicate mix of what to do and what not to do to try and please the people.
  24. I'm going to be one of those crazy people that turns on all 3 just to see how far I get. I'll be back on the forums 10 minutes later saying I lost spectacularly.
