  1. That's both good and bad. Because there was a lot wrong and right with WM, but it's not clear whether they know which bits were which. And some things that were good about it, i.e. the scale, apparently sounded like they were just an objective error financially, so I guess we'll know what this is going to be like when it comes out.
  2. The best Kana ending is the one where he gives up on politics entirely and just becomes an explorer.
  3. Super busy on the 8th and 9th. But I have a 12 hour train journey on the 10th, I just hope there's a power socket at my seat...
  4. What if Mass Effect 1 was good and had an interesting sci-fi premise that was then squandered by literally every piece of Mass Effect media that came after it?
  5. I'd rather a priest of Hylea straight up gets a selection of chants. That might be too powerful though.
  6. I'd go Honest rather than Cruel for the reasons discussed on the first page. Nature doesn't hide it's... nature, but it's also not actively malicious, and in game Cruel requires active malevolence.
  7. There are probably some items that will give resistance to Int inspirations too.
  8. I assume this is the tweet in question? I've seen some other confirmations around that the review copies are indeed out. Embargo lifts on release day, May 8th. Yep. That's the one.
  9. All three plus any more that are hypothetically released down the line.
  10. Review copies have apparently got out. There was a vague tweet from a reviewer to that affect. That's a good sign. Means that they're confident enough to let people go through it slowly to get plenty of time for the reviews to be done.
  11. Rekke speaks, he just doesn't speak Aedyren, or any other language people have heard before. I guess the implication is that he probably came from beyond Ondra's mortar.
  12. That is a pretty good idea. I'm undecided between having Maia Rua as a Geomancer or Aloth as a pure Wizard in my party. Maybe I'll do as you say. Maia's annoying, because she specialises in something that seems to go actively against the best Geomancer build. She's built around guns, but it seems like the right way to build a Geomancer is as a melee specialist. Both summoned weapons and the pet scale with character level, so if you build into that aspect you're essentially getting a "full power" multiclass. Take the summoned weapons you want to use and buffs from wizard, and the pet passives from ranger. It things in melee with a wolf. Voila. What about Kalakoth's Minor Blights? Probably best Wizard summoned weapon in the beta, and it's ranged. Though full game will add Llengrath's Warding Staff for multiclass.... I was assuming that Maia's passive, whatever it is, will only work with guns (given the subclass is called Gunhawk). But if it's generic ranged, yeah, that would be a good option.

  14. Poor Sagani. Top three companion right there, along with Eder and Durance.
  15. I mean, yes. But that doesn't stop you from thinking "I want to be this cool thing".
  16. If I hadn't brought the DLC during the kickstarter, I probably would have paid nearly any amount for a "be a priest of Rymrgand" DLC. I'm part of the problem. But yeah, it does seem unlikely. If they add extra subclasses, especially priest or paladin ones, they'd probably have to go back through the main quest and add new dialogue options, which, with full voicing, would be a significant piece of work, unless they left those lines unvoiced.
  17. I think this is the reasonable "I'm worried" take, and more or less where I am too. I don't particularly want to pay piecemeal for single quests with no overarching story. I mean, perhaps each content drop will be significant enough to make it worth it, I certainly hope so. But we've all seen DLC horror stories, and this emphatically isn't the same as the White March. It sounds more like the Tyranny DLC, which I thought was content light and uninteresting.
  18. In terms of questions, will these DLCs purely be combat/story based or will there be mechanical changes too (new subclasses, expanding the level cap with a new tier of abilities, etc.)?
  19. No becoming a lich (as of yet), but chanters can do all those other things. Less of a necromancer and more of a summoner theme though.
  20. Depending on whether they make any more DLC after this, it still might be different. The DLC add-on during the campaign was for all future DLC. This implies it's just these three DLCs. In all likelihood, this'll be all there is, so this is a moot point, but... We can dream.
  21. This is what I'm worried about. I mean, each DLC is cheaper than one of the parts of the White March, so they can be a little smaller. But the total content over the three DLCs should at least equal White March 1+2.
  22. As a Rymrgand fan, I'm very excited about the first one. Giving them plenty of chance to finish off with a Lonesome Road-style final DLC/expansion.
  23. There's a bestiary, but if it's anything like Pillars, it'll be handdrawn art rather than 3D models for the monsters.
