Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 5
PK htiw klaw eriF replied to Gromnir's topic in Computer and Console
I don't know, I'm waiting for the full release. Probably. At least it will come out before Star Citizen. -
"Gorth changed the title to Anime and Manga - fanservice, fanservice everywhere and not a character dramatization in sight!" I'm disappointed. Sounds like @Gorth still needs the anime Ludovico. Huh. I remember dropping the anime after the filler arcs clogged it up but the manga was pretty good. Maybe he'll do a sequel with the hell stuff soon.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 5

You make good points But DIO is English so it makes sense for him to use Hepburn ? One of these days I really have to get around to watching the Violet Evergarden movie. I think this is the thing that gets me, all things considered I should love the PoEs. I don't. I just don't. Frankly I'm frustrated because I should love it but it just doesn't feel right, despite meeting a checklist I'd have for an ideal game. Pathcat Owlfinder games are a ****ing mess. They're unbalanced as hell, buggy as ****, and have some truly cringeworthy writing. But somehow, they have that X factor that keeps me coming back. In ten, twenty years from now, when I am working to death in the freedom camps after calling God-Emperor Peter Thiel the First a useless clown, will I remember much about PoE? Probably not. But will I talk about Daeran's va chewing the scenery like magnificent bastard or the absurdity of Playful Darkness? Probably not, because the Neuralink Slave Controller will shock me when I say more than five words a minute. But somewhere deep down, I will remember such things and have a laugh at them, remembering the fun times I had playing such a ridiculous game that somehow was so much fun. Assuming I didn't die following the resurrected John Brown in a righteous but failed revolt. EDIT: Actually I take that back. I will be eternally butthurt that Deadfire did not have sea monsters. What the actual ****? Who the **** makes an ocean based fantasy game, one where the ****ing cover has the party fighting a pirate and some tentacles, and doesn't have sea monsters. That is probably the biggest missed opportunity imaginable. And instead we get what, sidekicks???? You cut the damn krakens and weird squidmen for some cardboard cutouts and an unfulfilled waifubait? Maybe we would be talking about Deadfire here if we got to shoot some mutated sharks or whatever with the blunderbuss of something or another. I think the problem with trying to tie any one thing to sales is that most people who buy the game don't really play it that much. With Divinity: Original Sin 2, a game that sold wildly enough to convince those coastal wizards to let Larian make BG3: Day of the Tentacle, you only had about half the players make it off the starting island. The same thing applies to both PoEs, most people just quit the game after Act 1 or hitting the major city. -

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 5

Every once in a while is underselling it. I'm in Kenabres right now (2nd playthrough), so far the only reasonable Lawful option has been to show the angel sword to the mongrels. Everything else has been Evil or stupid, often both. -

I don't usually play Lawful to begin with, but Owlfinder Lawful is one of the worst implementations I've seen. The Lawful options are almost always either evil, stupid, or just a plain buzz kill. Some folks have said Lawful feels like what Regill would do, I think it's like what would Hulrun do, though I suppose the difference between the two is thinner than Elon Musk's real hair. It's either no fun allowed, throwing someone in prison for public intoxication in the middle of an invasion, or "You broke the Law. Die!". Anyways I've finally got further than the Maze without rerolling and have taken Wenduag instead of Lann. She may be a groveling man eater, but at least she doesn't make terrible jokes or sexually harass any of the ladies. -

I'm sort of in the same boat, or maybe in the camp that wants "Ultimate Power" early. I like when a game isn't balanced so you only hit max level with one or two fights left to go, and only if you do every sidequest to boot (this is what WotR is like for Mythic Rank btw). While Baldur's Gate (1), the PoEs, and WotR do have too low of level caps for their exp rewards, but I think being able to skip or refuse quests while still being to hit the max level is a good thing. -

I've confirmed it to work without mods (Toybox the exception, but with nothing enabled that should touch equipment). So not only dog but your raptors, centipedes, Aivus, horses, mammoths, and silly little cats can now embrace the power of the belly band. -
You funny majestic But context doesn't matter in Putin's War ?

Huh, apparently animal companions can wear haramakis. Not sure if this is a bug or strange mod behavior, but either way the thought of a dog wearing a belly band is funny. -
I post here because it's cheaper form of flagellation than paying a dominatrix to beat me.

Iirc, the ways for melee 5e Rogues to not rely on dual wielding without multi-classing don't come online until around level 13....and only with some subclasses to boot. But it's been a long time and I have no experience with Solasta, so those options may not even be possible. Rogues being not quite a full martial character is a frustrating design in general, for 5e specifically not getting the extra attack is really dumb. To add insult to injury, most of the gish full caster subclasses can pick up an extra attack by level 6, which really leaves the 5e Rogue as the odd man out.

You naughty InsaneCommander -
I don't know, it's a very strange anime. I'll read more manga later. We'll see if anything gets explained.
