  1. Ok now that I read these carefully, ALL of them can apply to WotR. Campfire Cooking with Absurd Skill? Virtually every rest. Become a dog? Beastshape or Baleful Polymorph. Chillin in your 30's after getting kicked out of the Demon King's Army? Ember's followers. History’s Strongest Demon Reincarnates? Demon path. WotR is anime, prove me wrong. You can't. Good. Embrace it.
  2. Probably a strict diet, a personal trainer, and steroids. We're probably talking about 2 hours a day 6 days a week for excercise, between that and time on set he probably does cram in the vidya after shooting.
  3. Now I'm imaging Henry showing up an hour late because he spent all night dealing with the puzzles in The House At The Edge Of Time.
  4. Apparently it is not, which is a missed opportunity of massive proportions.
  5. Spy X Family 24: You naughty Yor and Anya's Operation Skoricks Lots of shocked faces. Unfortunately Franky has returned. Space Dandy 2: Ramen Quest This was great. I feel asleep soon after and woke up in the middle of episode 6.
  6. I think we knew it wouldn't be like Transformers when Greta Gerwig was going to direct it, so I guess it's not surprising that it's surprising. Still.....a 2001 reference is definitely out of left field.
  7. I can say that I was not expecting a 2001 homage in the Barbie movie.
  8. I remember listening to this album a lot maybe ten years ago, the again when Peaky Blinders came out and they used Red Right Hand to great effect. It's been a while, but when listening to Booth and the Bad Angel this was recommended. The best I can describe it if both entrancing and disturbing, the kind of song you enjoy but wish you didn't, similar to the films of David Cronberg.
  9. There is an alternate timeline where both Russia and Ukraine not only qualify but face each other in the final.
  10. That doesn't look like anything to me. Anyways, my fond memories for Scooby-Doo are memories and I haven't really seen anything Scooby-Doo in a while. Maybe I watched the recent movie that had it's sequel euthanized by the new WB reality TV man who wants to make everything about 1000 pound people, but if I did then I don't remember it. Maybe Scooby-Doo wouldn't hold up for me, maybe I'd just hate the newer stuff. I don't know.
  11. Man I loved Scooby-Doo as a kid, why you gotta take a dump on my childhood?
  12. I must be finally off the internet then (thank god), because The Witcher season 2 being hated is news to me. Season 1 was kind of silly with some Cw-tier effects, and season 2 really felt like a leap forward in all respects. It would be awful if Cavill left the show for Superman only to get booted out of Superman.
  13. I loved how they put on glasses and changed clothes to make themselves feel smarter. Chainsaw Man is a delight.
  14. It's 48 F / 9 C here, which is noticably colder than normal. Looks like it's going to hit freezing in about a week to boot.
  15. With The Northman I can at least say it took some risks, probably a lot less than Eggers would have normally taken if it weren't for the studio, but enough to make it a bit more interesting than a ye olde historical drama would normally be. Now I hope that Eggers never does another big budget film like this and sticks to making weird historical fiction on (relatively) small budgets, because The VVitch and The Lighthouse are much stronger films than The Northman by far, but at the end of the day Eggers is a talented filmmaker and a mediocre disappointment with some interesting aspects isn't a complete loss. Now Maverick felt like it was made specifically to get me to hate it. Propaganda aspects aside, the real planes were technically impressive but the movie to me felt like it had no soul or style. You take away the real planes and you're left with something that feels very basic with an emotional payload that doesn't feel earned. It's a spectacle that didn't even try to be something more.
  16. I can't relate to numeric ratings of films, but Mediocre Viking Hamlet did less for you than Tom Cruise Commits A Warcrime? Super Ultra Naughty
  17. We all know that Twitter is hell, Facebook is for boomers, Instagram is vapid, and Tiktok is mind-ravaging, but for my money the most unhinged social media is LinkedIn. I saw someone brag on there about cooking a chicken in a coffee maker to pocket the meal allowance given to them. So it only makes sense that the job offers themselves would be like that.
  18. "“Wheel of Time” boss Rafe Judkins set as showrunner." Nope.
  19. I got a nephew scammer once who said something similarly disappointing. I replied "Good" then hung up.
  20. I verified it, that is indeed the case. I haven't seen Cyberpunk but Ergo Proxy is very much not light-hearted so yeah, give Space Dandy a go first.
  21. Looks like there are just two seasons, but it may really be one season with a summer break like Komi Can't Communicate or Spy X Family.
