  1. "Get into slap fights over BG2's mechanics" Subforum? Would probably cut down on posts in this forum by at least half.
  2. I don't think you'll like what your research uncovers.
  3. I wonder if before a SJW goes to see a movie, they research the cast and crew to verify if it has an acceptable male/female ratio?
  4. Oh, I'm saying the existing weapon focus talents would benefit a Gish, as would hold the line. I think giving every class access to weapon specialization would be cool, but should delayed until you reach a higher level. I like the Paladin in concept, but can not get it to work well for me in the game. Perhaps I just need to wait until bugs are cleared.
  5. I'll agree there. Might boosting damage with rifles, spells, and melee makes about as much sense on willpower/perception(DnD Wis bundled these together) affectinghthe degree one can alter reality after offering a fortune in powdered diamond to a god. I think Fighters should have a talent that lets them knockdown with ranged attacks. Perhaps a talent could allow them to apply defender to ranged attacks, sort of like an overwatch. I think that a Gush would benefit from Hold the Line and weapon focus, but there could also be a talent that allows less speed penalty in armor. I would say spells that increase deflection, DT, and damage would be welcome additions for a Gish. As it is, I find Paladins are much harder for me to play than Monks or Muscle Wizards. I think showing how far the auras extend would help a lot, as would adding a more defensive aura. IMO Flames of Devotion would work better as a short term boost rather than a single attack.
  6. I named my Beta Wizard Bruce Banner. You won't like him when he's angry.
  7. I think it would've been a bigger deal, as games are pretty niche. The main complaint I've seen is that when these relationships exist between press and the people the press coverage, there is a conflict of interest.
  8. Sexy vampires or bust. Santanico Pandemonium is hella sexy.
  9. If you want to be technical, ISIS are also sexist jerks, but that sexism is less "no wimminz in mae viadyagamz" and more "women have no rights".
  10. From Dusk till Dawn: The Series and The Strain. Both are pretty good and feature vampires who are actually monsters.
  11. I think some people believe that because Intelligence is what determined Wizards' spell potency in DnD, it must govern spell potency in ALL fantasy settings. We could spend years arguing about which attribute should affect magic powahs for each class, but it is all moot when you factor that magic, as all fictional things, is up to the creator to determine the mechanics of. That in PoE Might affects damage of all things isn't any less realistic than how smart you are determining how hard to resist a fireball you create out of a ball of bat guano and sulfur(per Pathfinder rules) is.
  12. Is there some rule that every thread turn into a slap fight over Shadows of Ann?
  13. IIRC, only a small number of talents were implemented in the beta and more are planned for the game. Which is good, as all we have now are weapon focus, hold the line, and various upgrades for class abilities. Would be nice to get an idea of what other things talents can do, because the beta talents are pretty boring. EDIT: Ninja'd by Lefred.
  14. Hmmm I think it has to do with poison. Every time a character has been exposed to it, their health drops dramatically. Could be a balance issue rather than bug, but it does feel over the top.
  15. I recently advocated for a rise in magnitude of ability scores, but Gromnir is making some good points. Looks like I have to run through the beta some more to make up my mind.
  16. I'm preparing to start a semester tomorrow, Monday and Wednesday from 1-7. Will still have work 30+ hours a week, but I should be able to manage.
  17. I'm saying that if triple A game makers start targeting women in earnest they will go for what's actually popular amongs the masses of girls more often than not and not what the gaming's feminist clique would like to be popular. Brace yourself for melodramatic romance to the 3rd power.
  18. I think SJW pretty much covers that. There is no reasoning with these people, they follow their dogma with crazed devotion and attempt to destroy or convert anyone with a dissenting opinion.
  19. Exactly. I'm very confused right now. I missed something... Its late, I think most of us in the states need sleep.
