I think having all stats at around 10(before racial or cultural modifiers) would be the way to go. I've been trying to have most stats at least average, so showing me what is average will help when I test out less rounded builds. Also, is any one else getting a cap for attributes? For my meadow human might was capped at 19.

A tweaked version of the current system would be optimal for me. I suspect that Obsidian are going to tweak Resolve and Perception first, seeing as those are the two stats they admitted were not very good.

Combat should be a little slower. Slow mode is great when I need to react quickly, but normal speed should be reduced a bit.

Just played it for about an hour and was killed by bugs. When fighting lions, the BBwizard failed to cast fire ball and my Paladin froze. I did manage to beat the fight with the group of gangsters by the church though. Other than the boar(where ch I thought was supposed to die when it's master did), it felt challenging and pushed my party management skills, like BG2 with SCS. Will have to wait until bugs are purged until I can adequately judged the combat system, but it feels good when it works. Love slow and fast modes.

I think that selecting culture after subrace would make the most sense.

I think the culture selection should come before attributes, as they contain an attribute bonus. Have Flames of Devotion give a damage bonus over a small period of time rather than provide a one shot attack.

I'm happy with no kill XP, but it is exaggerating a bit to say kill XP forces you to play a mass murderer. You killed plenty of hostile stuff in the IE games and could hit the level caps, more so with mods.

I don't really like the Paladin's Flames of Devotion. Conceptually I love it, but would prefer a smaller % damage increase for a n amount of time instead of a powerful one shot attack.
