  3. For the classic, you put syrup on it and it's not eaten as a sandwich. There's weird variations that do different stuff but going for the original style is best for the first time.
  4. Chicken and waffles has been on my bucket list for years. Someday, though, someday. You should when you get the chance. Imo it's better to go to a (good) restaurant than to try and make them yourself for the first time.

  8. I try to run three characters I really enjoyed in PnP over a decade ago. The first is a male Warrior (Mage) who wears heavy armor and uses big swords, not evil but aggressive and vindictive. Usually go with human because it's my introduction character and I find humans are usually the most balanced or neutral races to play both in terms of story and mechanics. Mechanics play a big role for his class selection, like my order of preference is gish class then martial/magic multiclass then the best martial class. The second is a female warrior-priest of a war god with severe devotion to faith and arrogant, if There's a special race like tiefling I'll go with that. In most fantasy games there's been a priest option and mechanics don't play as much of a role as the warrior because of that. Last is a rogue type character that uses magic and is a weird race like orlan or pale elf, not a good guy but the least violent of the three and most prone to a diplomatic solution. Mechanics play a large role in class selection as many classes can work with the stealthy assassin thing I go for, like in PoE I found Cipher worked better due to the rogue being kinda bad. Afterwards I'll try classes that seem cool or I'm in the mood for, but for whatever reason I don't enjoy Rangers very much.
  9. A little bit, probably less than 1% of screen time and not as memorable as the singing bit. It could be cut out and the film would pretty much be the same, but I guess some people lose their **** at the sight of a tit.

  13. I'm surprised it took them this long. Given other pro-Trump places, I assume a lot of posters will get purged and it'll be considered 14d chess and that the forum always was pro-gun control.
  14. Beta 3 mod on Veteran with Warlock main, Priest/Monk, Swashbckler, Spellblade, and Herald(knockoff versions of Xoti, Eder, Aloth, and Pallengia). Cheated so party was at level 6 and outfitted in fine gear. Assassinate Empower Fireball no longer nukes like it did without crit, but still packs a hell of a bunch and takes out enemies without much issue. Regular Fireballs are pretty good when they hit but require retargeting or engagement to hit and I'm fine with this tbh. One-handed slow weapons seem to fit better with the speed adjustments, but I think 2-Handers need a little more damage and/or pen while 1-handed fast could do with being a little slower (.6s/2.0s) with slightly more damage(maybe 1 point). Also this was an issue in PoE, but Eldritch Aim isn't good for the cast, I think a 15 sec duration would be a big improvement there. Overall this is an improvement over vanilla Beta with changes being good but needing tuning.

I've been playing around with MaxQuest's Betabalance mod a bit and something I've noticed is that negative effects like Berserker's self raw damage are increased by Resolve while PoE was the same with Sacred Immolation I believe. I don't particularly like this and wanted the community's opinion on whether the negative effects on self should be kept static or even reduced by attribute scores.
  16. If strength effects spell damage again and empower is consistent(ie more abilities are influenced by power level) then sure. Right now it will just make resolve better for spell casters and meh for others.
  17. I wanted to fight a kraken so my opinion will be negative until I know that can happen.
  18. I don't see why this wasn't implemented given how it makes sense with the new tiered afflictions. Perhaps they didn't want to do higher tier afflictions on crit or something.
  19. Yeah, that’s my only concern about the ship system in Deadfire; how are you going to top it in Part 3? Spaceships.
  20. It's a good idea, particularly the ones with ptsd who can't keep a stable job.
