The game is the same no matter the version, the Champion and Royal Editions only have extras like the soundtrack, a strategy guide, etc. So yes, you get the full game no matter which version you buy.

You get a tutorial message about engagement when you fight the wolf, your first combat encounter. Most streamers I've seen don't read it.

No, the commentary is like DVD commentaries, or the Half-Life 2 commentaries. Developers talking about the development of the game and specific areas.
