  1. Against the Storm basically has a timer. There is a bar at the bottom which very slowly fills up - the Queen's Impatience. If people die or leave, it also fills up. On harder difficulties I have lost two runs out of a hundred? On easier difficulties I forget it exists and just have fun. I am currently not playing on harder difficulties, as I don't feel like having to worry about a couple of mechanics that only appear then (the infestation on your buildings you have to burn off). I like that you can play "casual". You still have to worry about keeping people alive and meeting their needs, but you don't get overwhelmed.
  2. Timberborn is on my wishlist as well, though I still have more to do in Against the Storm.
  3. I haven't progressed the story that far. Some time combinations can be really nasty
  4. For people who like xcom style games here is some important news: Every Day We Fight has a playtest week scheduled for the 25th. If you don't know the game, check it out.
  5. Runs without any problems for me, on a pc that struggles with some other modern games.
  6. Just tried the demo for Showgunners. A turn based tactics game a la XCOM, where you play a team in some dystopian death match arena reality show. Th demo has you at level 13, so you get to be quite awesome at what you do. Seems quite fun.
  7. Oooh, Wartales incidentally just released on GOG.
  8. I was told just last week that paradox is a small indy company with no meaningful market share. Mind you, the same person says there are no plot holes in Dragon Age.
  9. It's been on my wishlist since the very first steam demo
  10. This is newsworthy: For the first time in 2 years my GOG Galaxy client managed to update itself and did not force me to download the new version from scratch. Are the GOG people learning to code? Only time will tell.
  11. The test system was so unfun, the first time I got damaged in combat I uninstalled and never looked back.
  12. Solasta has the most fun tutorial with them all in the tavern sharing stories.
  13. I really enjoyed Solasta. It would have been nice if they had the resources to add more game or have a better RNG. But it was one of the most fun DnD experiences I had in a long time.
  14. Tried Warhammer Total War 3 - Immortal Empires. Was at war with the various Khorne factions, as one should be, minding my own business, and suddenly the Gorequeen Valkia the Bloody offered me gold, asking for a truce. I decided it was just the chaos wastes playing tricks on me and slaughtered her armies, spilling their blood for the Bloody Handed God. Then the Khorne worshiping Norse tribes also sued for peace. Khornite lip service and no true faith.
  15. On my birthday... But visual novels lately tire me. You actually have to read words (no way I'll listen to all the singing)
  16. I hadn't noticed there was a 4...
  17. Wartales is out of Early Access.
  18. Waiting for the Storm dlc for Midnight Suns to play through that and uninstall the game. Easily the biggest wasted opportunity in gaming in a long time.
  19. First art exhibition was yesterday. Was just one among 43 artists participating, but it was a great experience and got very positive reactions. Uploaded some photos to Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq6EBfXrmbp/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  20. So dwarf obsession caused freezing temperatures for a whole country.
