Steam and GOG
Awesomesauce And yeah. Valve seems to be doing pretty well compared to other players in the industry.

Dwarf Society
In a way similar to Tarant from Arcanum then? I don't mind mixed species ethnicities. As long as it's done well (of course that is the case with anything, right?)

Steam and GOG
Though if Steam goes out of business we loose our games. If GoG goes out of business we can still have backups of the installer. Love how with GoG you download an installer and don't install from online.

Crossroads Keep style castle for Project Eternity
Well they are welcome to take out that endless dungeon and use those resources for a new Crossroad Keep

Xcom
Which is perfectly right according to X-COM probability theory!

Crossroads Keep style castle for Project Eternity
I heard that Depths of Peril kinda does that, but I can't recommend it to you, since I haven't enough courage to try it. It's a pretty fun game over all. Plus, it's only like ten bucks. Thanks for the recommendation Milten and the info Hanged Man Whenever I wanted to be a King I played Birthright Though it sure wasn't the best game ever

Loved Crossroad Keep. Hope we get something at least as involving.

The Obsidian Order of Eternity wants YOU! part 3
Still waiting for someone to pick the title "Not a member" ... Very tempted to change mine to that

Don't get me started. I miss the whole leafing through a manual while waiting for a game to install bit. The good ole days when you'd take a bus downtown. Stare at shelves. Grab the game (pay for it). Then fish the manual out of the box on the bus ride home. Run to the supermarket to buy cookies and crisps and drinks and stuff to eat while playing. Get home. Open Pc, run the installer. While the game insalls, continue reading manual while throwing chips in the oven... Good old days of being a student gamer...

Xcom
I am fairly certain that if 75% chance shots only missed their target 1 out of 4 times, old fans of the series would complain that this is not a true X-Com experience

You are a moderator, you have influence. Get Obsidian to get her to voice Cadegund Yeah, I wish The rumours about our "influence" seems exaggerated, but I would love for her to voice something in PE. We need to get the Obsidian Order to mobilise on the matter !

disappointed (torment fan perspective)
Monks are not. they are found in plenty of things outside of D&D. They are found in plenty of things outside of D&D. They are since 3rd edition also found in D&D. That does not make them classic fantasy though. In western terms classic fantasy would be high fantasy, based on medival Europe, the way Middle Earth is. Martial artists from fortress monasteries are not part of that. If taking "classic fantasy" from the western point of view, then monks are part of it, but as scholars in heavy robes, crouched over ancient manuscripts and squinting under bad candle light.

Amazon says I paid. Just not by email... a bit strange. Kickstarter would also have given their system a lot more stability. Right now they have a lot of frustrated fans out there, I wager.

But now you are not taking into account what you yourself described as important at the beginning of this discussion: that Snow is not just a surname but a naming convention for bastard children. In that it is not a name tied to a language, but is nothing ls than a word. Exactly to be true to the setting, the naming convention of bastards in Song of Ice and Fire has to be translated to underline that these are people without a name, looked down on by the society of Westeros to an extend where they are refered to as the most common thing in their respective region. Kingslanding could have been better translated. True. Probably other names as well. But there is a far bigger problem that fantasy names in english have become such commonplace that John "Snow" has lost the impact the author has actually given it than that it actually reclaims part of that impact when translated

The thing is, why does it sound "right" just because it is in a foreign language? The names are equally silly in english as they are in any other language. But it seems only when we translate the names that the ridiculousness hits us. On a related unrelated note: It's pretty much the opposite of Games Workshop settings were english words are translated into faux german to create imperial names. They sound extremly ridiculous...

Xcom
I have done worse. A game called Paradise Cracked. My sniper crouched on high ground. Cybernetic eyes and the best sniper rifle money could buy. Enemies out in the open, no cover whatsoever. The game says 100% chance to hit. I missed 120 shots (or around there... stopped counting after a hundred, didnt start counting until I had gotten frustrated). Eventually I had one of my other team members rush out with an SMG and mow them down

I'm a bit scared of playing BL2. I had so much fun with Lilith in 1, I am worried I'll be missing that playstyle "Look at that little Lilith go, beatin' all them boys down."
