  1. I'm with you on this one I used to be a lefty but got "corrected". Suffice to say, I only write with my right hand, but for everything else, including the handling of weapons, I'm clearly more dexterous with my left hand. So kudos to OP for suggesting it. Not that I actually want the devs to spend time implementing it though....
  2. What I recall from reading D&D books was that some dragons are highly intelligent. We sadly do not get to see this side in games, I'd like to be able to negotiate with a dragon. They can still be bosses, but with more than the standard long drawn out battle to deal with them.
  3. I hope there is no insta-death spells. Or if there are some, they are telegraphed and can be countered. It's frustrating to get killed by one hit and having to reload. That's not a challenge, it's aggravation.
  4. I'm not sure if the entire game would have to be written around it; it would have to be fairly well integrated in the game just simply for time to devlopment, to fit the game and the NPC involved. So the idea that you can easily drop-in romance to hit an easy "win" for the fanbase doesn't really work most of the times in terms of the game and NPCs, IMO. That said, part of me can't help but wonder if Avellone wrote his reply just because he knew it'd add about 500,000 pages to existing romance debate...now that's just mean I firmly believe that's actually the case. And it worked....
  5. OK, I know CoD is there as a joke, but oh the temptation to just click it for the heck of it.
  6. I'm not sure why people are saying this is the final word on romances on PE. The tone of the answer is so so bitter that it has to be tongue in cheek. Plus Ziets is on board for PE and MCA just said he made romances work on NWN2, no reason why it will not work on PE. I personally do not care if there will be romances or not, I enjoyed DA:O (with Alistair's romance being almost a must for female characters and a very cliche one at that) and FO:NV (unless I did something wrong there was nothing romanceable in it) equally.
  7. It does not matter the style as long as it's well organized and can be filtered easily. Older games just had a list of things in series and it was a pain to track everything, more so if you had to stop playing the game for a while and came back a few weeks later. I don't need markers or trackers but would like to be able to annotate both the map and the journal with my own notes is possible.
  8. I would like to see this implemented in a way that is not set in stone, like Yoshimo. Make it so the betrayal is linked to your relationship to the NPC or how your alignment compares to him/her.
  9. Voted for the last option, but usually I have name+last name and always the same one on single player games. Who uses strange characters on RPG names? It is not a gamertag Ah, and loved DA:O as game but hated that I could not keep my custom last name.
  10. It's easier than ever to self publish. With all the digital distributors, like Steam, GoG, etc... I would be surprised OE would go to a traditional publisher. That being said, if OE decided to go to a publisher I would not be mad or anything. It's their decision to make.
  11. Upped from $140 to $250 while watching the live stream. Such a bunch of happy people. And some were very drunk too
  12. $140 + $20 (expansion) + $10 (cards). Seriously considering upping to $250 + $10.
  13. Regarding beta testing: I've been in a few games and did submit bug reports. But I'm also a fairly "well behaved" player, so it's not like I ran into a bug nobody else ever saw. If anything I probably found bugs everyone else did too. Without being a professional who knows what to look for, there is a chance beta testing will not flush out everything. Also, even though I backed a tier that gives me access to the beta I will most likely not participate to avoid spoiling the story.
  14. 100% behind better Q&A. The game just grew a lot by reaching the 2nd big city stretch goal, so there will be no lack of content.
  15. Thank you for the update. Screen looks gorgeous, specially for something that was prob put together in 3 weeks or less. Really looking forward to the game.
  16. Chris A. was a stretch goal of WL2 and a lot of people were excited when it happened. Not sure why George Z. being a stretch goal for PE rubs anyone the wrong way. Stretch goals are designed to be "carrots on a stick" to entice people who are on the fence on backing the project or upping their pledge. George Z. sounds like a great carrot to me. And having him on the team will make the game better.
