You are misunderstanding, they are putting in this feature for people who dont want to use the regular companions that they write. You will be able to use the regular party npcs ala Baldurs Gate series who have backstorys and personality. Or make your own dudes to replace em.

Console ports cost money both for development and licencing. So it's not going to happen and I'm glad. Consoles are what destroyed the CRPG market in the first place.

Randomized is not something everyone likes, I for example like replaying the older crpgs and knowing what to expect. If it's an option you can turn off fair enough, otherwise no from me.

Mod support has all but been confirmed, let them focus on the game. This sounds like post ship content at best and mod fodder at worst.

It's a nice thought but it simply isnt needed, they are going to try and make the game mod friendly so you will get this sooner or later. For now I would rather not stretch Chris Avellone even thinner.

I still find the idea of there being factions laughable to be honest. I'm a massive fanboy for the older IE games and others like Arcanum. I still play them now. Doesnt mean this game won't still be enjoyable just because it's doing something different. Not my ideal magic system either, but it might suprise you. It's not being designed for consoles at least like Dragon Age.

It was nice of Tim to actually answer my cooldown question, It doesnt sound like my ideal magic system either. But I can live with it to be honest, at least it's not MMO style.

Fantasy generic tropes. Nature loving elves, constantly at odds with the more progressive and industrious dwarves who are contantly cutting down their tree hugging forests for example. I dont mind them using fantasy races, but do something different with their backgrounds.

Follow the same basic premise as watchers keep, overarcing theme to the dungeon with a big big bad at the end. BUT make each level wholly unique and different.

No I dont want that as a stretch goal, I'd like a stretch goal for more music in the game and possibly collaborations with other composers.

I would have called it Chains of Eternity, except there's an expansion for Everquest 2 of all things called that already.
