  1. Looks like its also being touted as an online multiplayer game from what I can see... Because that's what it *is*. Did anybody seriously think Capcom is gonna pour a $100 million into a massive singleplayer Skyrim-killer PS4-exclusive game? Capcom ain't a charity and financial debacles are no longer acceptable. Because there is no chance an online game could become a financial debacle. /looks in Project Copernicus' direction //glances over at APB
  2. The radio stations are pretty good. I still wish they would have added a user station.
  3. Also, the Iron Man 3 poster has unnecessary diagonals (that ridiculous trend just won't die), while the Thor one doesn't. They're not even remotely the same.
  4. Woot! I got a coalescent ward from a coffer which allowed me to finally fuse together my 4 lesser lifedrinker enchantments into a single lifedrinker enchantment, which I promptly slotted into my axe. I was off on the amount of extra damage/health gain it gives, it's 6.1% not 6.6%, but oh well. Curiously, it didn't affect my gear score at all. Now I guess I need to go out and adventure or something to try it out and see if I can notice the difference in damage and healing.
  5. Until they make monitors with MUCH thinner bezels that are actually affordable, I'm not splurging for a multi-monitor setup.
  6. And I just got a purple slotted shirt, which means: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjTjtJDZomw All Purpled Out, Don't Know What To Do. Actually, I do know what to do. I gotta fill up all those empty enchantment slots. As it stand my gear score is 10.1k. I don't want to put scrubber enchantments into my slots because it costs mucho astral diamonds to unslot them, so I'd rather wait to put all rank 7s (or higher but that's not gonna happen). I estimate I should get to gear score 12k+ with all rank 7s and around 32% critical and 13% lifesteal with an additional 6.6% damage and heal (from Lifedrinker Enchantment). Once that happens (not any time soon), I'll be nearly indestructible as I'll be healing naturally just from hitting enemies faster than they can damage me, especially when I critical (which will be about 1/3 of the time) which will drive up the amount I heal even more. Edit: Also, I'm almost t leadership lev 18. Good gravy, it takes so freakin' long to level up leadership.
  7. EPIC comeback win for the Sawx tonight! They were down 7 to 1 entering the 8th and 7 to 2 entering the 9th, then scored 6 times in the bottom of the 9th to take the game and sweep the series. Had they lost they would still be in a virtual tie for first, with the win they're up by 1. The 1 game swing isn't so much important, what is is the fact that this is the kind of things that teams of destiny do. Not saying call them the champs, there's a lot of season left, but that kind of comeback is generally indicative of a team that's going deep. On the "trade deadline" front, the Peavy trade was definitely good for the Sawx. If you look simply at the numbers it looks like a bad deal for the Sawx as Iglesias was batting .330 at the time of the trade. What the numbers don't tell is that Iglesias is a lifetime .240 batter in AAA and got off to an insanely hot and completely unsustainable start (tons of infield hits, freak bloop hits, etc.). Since that hot start he's hit about .200 for the last month. He's a really good defensive shortstop, but no way is he a .330 hitter over the course of a season. He's not even a .300 or .280 hitter. Best case scenario for Iglesias is about .265 or .270 with 5 HR and maybe 50 RBI over the course of a season. The Sawx sold high on him and got a solid pitcher in Peavy who, while he's not 2007 Peavy, nor will he ever be again, can still be a solid #2 or #3. This shores up a battered pitching staff and once Buchholz comes back (whenever that is) you're looking at a rotation of Buchholz, Lester, Peavy, Lackey, and Dempster or Doubront. You can win a title with that rotation. Also, back to Iglesias, the Sawx have better prospects at both SS and 3rd ready to come up or come back (Xander Bogaerts, Will Middlebrooks).
  8. GabeN would sell you the Brooklyn Bridge if he could. Wait... ... Brooklyn Bridge Simulator 2014. 50% off on a weekend deal!
  9. Hey man, you can't put a price on a piece of gaming history.
  10. Oh man, Commander Keen! Holy ****, that brings back some memories.
  11. I really want to play the sniper class in CoP Misery 2.0 so I restarted the game. Man, the place they start you off as a sniper is so much rougher than where they start you off as an Assaulter (can't compare a Recon as I haven't tried that yet). You have to take a roundabout way and hope not to run into packs just to get to Skadovsk. It took me 4 tries today just to make it to Skadovsk.
  12. I really hope they actually pull this off.
  13. There's always the chance that it's a Korean ripoff MMO.
  14. Video begins... *Interest level moderate* ...Capcom... *Interest level slowly fading* ...Capcom Online Games *Interest level plummeting*
  15. If there isn't going to be a PC version, then The game "set to launch on next-gen consoles in the near future" is whatever is the game Daoka has been working on for 2 years now. Nothing has been revealed about what platform(s) Outcast 2: Electic Ulukhailoo will appear on yet.
  16. I guess the one question remaining is, when is the Kickstarter? /prepares wallet
  17. Man, the Misery Mod is brutal. I tried starting as a sniper, but they start you off in a really dangerous area and with a bolt action rifle. Ther area is packed with packs of dogs and other fast moving beasties and that rifle simply doesn't fire fast enough to take them all down before they're on you, then it's a scramble that generally ends with me dead right quick. Started up again as an assaulter. With that class I got to start off at the Ranger Station and finally made my way to Skadovsk. Even the super early stuff like getting the artifact from the Dredge was tough and took me several deaths. No chance of taking on all 3 stalkers at once, not with my health draining and the stalkers having great aim, I had hand over the artifact then take him out as he ran back to Skadovsk, and even that took me a couple of tries. It's going to be ruthlessly difficult to get through the whole game. It's like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat Prepare to Die Edition. I love it.
  18. 2.0 is out, it released today. I'm already playing it. It's brutal. I love it.
  19. Getting my ass thoroughly handed to me by The Zone in the Misery 2.0 mod for CoP, and loving it.
  20. I wonder if it would be possible to make weapons do less damage at certain ranges. For example, I would set it up so that shotguns lose very little, if any, accuracy over range, but the amount of damage they do drops off dramatically.
  21. Katy Perry California Gurls. No wonder I never heard it before. I suppose that as long as you're blatantly and shamelessly using sex to try to push your undoubtedly microtransactioned to death game, you might as well rip off crappy bubble gum pop lyrics while you're at it.
  22. Well, what makes me think that time will elapse on its own in the game is that it did in the Fallout games. When he mentions getting a call about something happening over the radio then having a choice to ignore it, or try to do something about it, then you may or may not make it there in time, makes me think that time will elapse during the game on its own. I'm hoping some events like this will trigger on their own in the game and not when the player reaches a certain area or talks to a certain person or performs a certain action. If you happen to be nearby when the event triggers you can choose to intervene or hightail it out of there and let it play out on its own. If you're far away you may try to get there but not reach it in time. Heck, maybe things will happen that you may not even ever find out about if you never go back to that area. That's what I'm hoping he meant by that.
  23. I just hope that it's not all smoke & mirrors and they actually deliver. It sounds like they're implementing what I am hoping PE would do (though it's unlikely because the IE games didn't do it and I think Obsidian is going for a more focused narrative), have time elapse during the game, either all the time, or when traveling across the wasteland, and have events happen at certain times whether you are there to affect the outcome or not.
