You don't have to pick a side right away, you can play both sides for a while, eventually you will have to pick a side, though. Piranha Bytes' games always force you to pick a side eventually.

SR2 was supposed to be unable to enter atmosphere given its great size. This is why all the missions drop you off in a shuttle. Of course I don't think Illium is ever explained and Mass Effect 3 completely forgets. I'm more bothered by the forward facing window, putting the pilot in the most vulnerable combat position on the hsip, and Joker taking credit for automated systems. He brags about the accuracy of a faster than light jump in the first minutes of Mass Effect 1. Just what was he doing to give it such accuracy? Was he steering the ship at near instantaneous FTL, making up for .0000000000000000001 degree deviations that could send them light years off course? By feel? Is he a math whiz capable of calculating course corrections instantaneously? Just like when someone is blind or deaf and one of the other senses becomes hyper sensitive to compensate, being a space cripple means having hyper advanced navigation and math skills. That's why EDI is hot for his loins. She's turned on by how many decimal places of pi he can recite.

If the PC port is anything like the GTA IV port, you'll need a nVidia Titan just to run it on low settings.

Well, there was stock photograph mysterious accent alien, sexy engineered neo-human ass, completely not generic in any way shape or form space marine with faux hawk, token black companion, foul-mouthed psycho, neurotic alien, ...

You can actually tell Morrigan to pike off and she does. Though I don't know if she returns to offer the dark ritual or not. I think I knew that at some point, but it's been a long time. The first time I played the game, I kept everybody around for purely meta-gamey reasons. I didn't want to miss any potentially interesting content. If I ever do feel the urge to replay DAO, yeah, Morrigan is getting ditched, and Zevran is getting offed. I can do without that one dragon fight. PC Mage, Shale, Wynne, and whoever is most plot-relevant for the current quest. (If none, Sten.) Ugh, I hated Morrigan and Zevran so much, I guess I'm pro-space cripple and anti-meddling witch and anti-gay assassin (I can't type that in without laughing). Wynne is BY FAR my favorite companion in either DA game.

He makes teh jokez, isn't that important enough? Levity is the backbone of any successful military or paramilitary operation. Just look as the A-Team, which was practically a documentary. Also, Why y'all hatin' on space cripples? What did space cripples ever do to you?

Joker is one of the few characters I actually liked from ME. My take was that commanding officers in a Marines-type culture don't often get along too well with inferior officers who are disrespectful of the chain of command, who are clearly physically unfit for service, and who go by ridiculous self-applied nicknames, but who get special treatment because they can do fancy techy things well. (See, e.g., USMC's attitude toward the Navy; everybody in the military's attitude towards military pilots.) Not to mention the fact that his insubordination was clearly responsible for Shep getting spaced in the ME2 intro. He was so clearly written to get the player to like him, that I felt it was my duty to roleplay Shep more faithfully as a Marine, rather than as an avatar for a nerd playing an RPG. "Shep hates Joker" actually works reasonably well as a counter-narrative to the series. Yes, but if decades of action movie convention have taught me anything, it's that the renegade who doesn't follow the chain of command and marches to the beat of his own drummer is, without exception, the only man for the job. Movies don't lie, man, movies don't lie.

I just realized that in my previous comment Sony is George W. Bush. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, my subconscious is a mystery even to myself.

PC: Fraps. Console: oh well. (actually it can be done, just kind of a pita maybe) I know, but Fraps will mean a performance hit while the in-game recording in GRID 2 is convenient and doesn't impact performance at all. Unfortunately it only allows you to record 30 second snippets. It doesn't make any sense, since the game records the entire race, from multiple angles to boot, since you can switch the camera freely during replays, and Youtube allows much larger uploads than 30 seconds. [rant]Really, while the racing is good, which is the most important part, there is a lot about the game that's mind-numbing in how poorly it was designed. For example, if you Alt+Tab out of the game to get to the desktop it automatically drops into a 800x600 window and you have to go through the menus to put it back into your desired resolution and full screen. The vast majority of games out there just minimize when Alt+Tabbed out of and go right back into full screen. Also, speaking of the menus, the menu hell you have to go through to do ANYTHING is ridiculous. Games in the 90s didn't even have menu hell this bad. Literally anything you want to do, whether it be career mode, a quick race, changing settings, etc, is at least 4 menus deep.[/rant]

Project Phoenix is already well past its goal and wandering into stretch goal territory in its first day. This one could get into the million+ territory. I'm still trying to decipher how the game will play. What I'm envisioning is something along the lines of Fire Emblem and Valkyria Chronicles, but in real-time.

GRID 2, time attack, Ariel Atom. Passing the opponent was inconsequential, though satisfying: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7CzHha5GoM&feature=em-upload_owner I wish they would let you record longer videos.

Yep, that sure is going to make his life easier.

You know Alan, I don't really care about those cards one way or another. They just sort of take up (electronic) space. Meh, whatever. I'm completely apathetic toward receiving cards.

I wonder why they can't announce superstar lead programmer and art supervisor that will blow everybody's socks off? If they let the name slip will the Yakuza have them offed or something? On a more serious note, there is a definite lack of jRPG on PC so good luck to this project.

If I was offered the chance to go to Mars, and I had the knowledge beforehand that I would reach the red planet alive and set foot on its surface, but I would never return to Earth, I would do it in a heartbeat.

And if Deraldin gets overloaded with cards, you can send the surplus here: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197971335644/. I can help bear the burden, for the good of the community.

Rays are still lookin' good for at least a wild card, though they've lost much of their cushion. There are still over 40 games left this season so we're far from deciding anything. The Sawx were on the verge of eliminating the Os from the division race, but this latest stumble has let them back in. I would feel a lot more comfortable with a 2 team race than a 3 team race.

The "Hello, Carol" moment was amazing. I'm so psyched that the final stretch has begun and also sad, because the best show I've ever watched is almost over. The Walt and Hank showdown has begun. **** is about to go down. I think in the end

The Sawx are in the midst of the toughest stretch they have remaining on their schedule, two road trips with a 3 game set against the Yankees at Fenway sandwiched in between. Basically they're spending the vast majority of August on the road. They just came off a rough 4 game set in KC where they lost 3 out of 4 to the scrappy Royals (I can't believe I just wrote that). Luckily, the Rays helped them out by going on a 5 game losing streak so the Sawx actually stretched their lead to 3 games despite the rough series. On the down side, this allowed Baltimore back into the race. Hopefully they make it out of August still in 1st and get Buchholz back for the final push for the division.

Might & Magic X Teased by Ubisoft, To Be Revealed at PAX East
Keyrock replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
There were going to be people crying and moaning no matter what. If they modeled it after VI/VII then there would be people crying that they "ruined" the game by not modeling it after the earlier games. I loved Clouds of Xeen and Darkside of Xeen so I'm happy they set that as their target. If they has set Mandate of Heaven or For Blood and Honor as their target I would have been happy with that too. I'm just happy they're making an old school game.
