  1. The Cave for Android phones and tablets is free right now.
  2. I successfully pulled that off over the past year and a half or so (though without it being any sort of strict resolution). I still swear a bit, but not as much as I used to, and I'm a lot more mellow about everything, taking things in stride. I still will get worked up once in a while, but I cool off much more quickly and generally before I do or say something I later regret.
  3. That would be pretty sweet if Obama grew a goatee to play up the whole evil thing with everyone blaming him for everything wrong with the world. My pops is the best. It's so easy to get him going. All I have to do is say "Obama" or he pops up on TV, and my dad will immediately call him a douche and get all flustered and pissed off. It's hilarious. If it's not a week I visit, then I call him up and get him going at least once a week. Good times.
  4. Sadly, not Jason Garrett. Even better would be if Dallas fired its GM, but that's obviously not going to happen (Jerry's not going to fire himself).
  5. Where do you keep all those animals? Do you have a ranch or a barn? Who cleans up after them?
  6. Pfft, it's going to be 2014. Shouldn't you be going at least 1440p?
  7. And Orton pulls a Romo to end the game and the Cowboys season. How fitting. And we get the Cowboys finishing 8-8 (again) and missing the playoffs (again), just like we all knew we would. Same movie, different year. Good news is we get to watch the same movie again next year.
  8. If people get to reroll ad infinitum there's no point in rolling at all, just let them write in whatever stats they want.
  9. Scooped up an Ioun Stone augment companion for free (real money wise) during the sale (converted AD to Zen). Now gotta level Rocky Rhodes up.
  10. Thunder SMOKED the Rockets tonight. Great nights for Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson, and another monster game for Durant (33 points, 13 rebounds). The Thunder shot 57% as a team. Of course the fact that the Rockets don't play defense might have something to do with that.
  11. Chargers get in after a wild and wacky game.
  12. Both the Dolphins and Ravens shat the bed with the playoffs on the line, which opens the door for the Chargers who will be playing against the chiefs second unit. If the Chargers also manage to **** the bed then the Stillers inexplicably would get in.
  13. I'm pretty sure that's Drakensang. I'm playing Drakensang 2, hence the similarities. Is Drakensang: River of Time considered Drakensang 2? Yes Yes, Phileasson's Secret is an expansion to River of Time. An expansion that's extremely heavy on combat (unlike the base game). Yes
  14. Maybe when the apocalypse that wiped out civilization as we know it happened, lighting technology miraculously came through unscathed and continued to flourish. Maybe as all the other aspects of technology and civilization collapsed, the survivors (mutant and non-mutant) continued working feverishly on higher efficiency illumination. I mean, that should be a priority, right?
  15. I'm back to Drakensang 2 for the time being. The Phileasson DLC is garbage, but the completionist in me compels me to finish it... eventually (at least I can leave and finish it any time). I'm currently level 12. Not sure what max level is, but my characters are rather powerful and I'm about to sneak into the Baron's castle, I think.
  16. I'm pretty sure that's Drakensang. I'm playing Drakensang 2, hence the similarities.
  17. A bit overdressed for a nymph
  18. As a player, I like roll for stats because I can end up with a character that has deficiencies that I need to overcome, and those tend to be the most fun characters to play. If I get to choose my own point distribution, I can never resist trying to make the most optimized character possible, even knowing full well that I'd have more fun playing a less optimal character. If I'm GMing (which is rare), I'll usually let the players decide (not individually, majority rules), since it's their characters and I'm not going to make assumptions on which way would be more fun for the them.
  19. What's the name of the boss (as long as it's non-spoiler-y)?
  20. I resolve to not make any resolutions this coming year.
  21. Getting down at the festival: http://youtu.be/8borSPfMEgU Lake Jumping: http://youtu.be/C9vUpWban-s
  22. I don't like my job either, but I still show up to work every day and do the best I can. If I was paid even 1/10th what Bynum gets paid, I would show up to work every day with a smile so wide it would look cartoonish. I'm not going to feel bad for a guy making 12 million per year for mostly not playing.
  23. Bynum got suspended by the Caves indefinitely for "conduct detrimental to the team", whatever that means. Shocking, I know. The saddest part of this is that after he has failed to live up to expectations, and has had a storied history of being fragile, to put it mildly, and been a locker room cancer, in literally every place he's played for, someone will still pay him multiple millions of dollars when his current deal is up.
  24. Yeah, there are definitely things to criticize about Neverwinter. For example, the matchmaking system (whether for PvP or for assembling groups for running dungeons) sucks. Also, the new enchantment upgrading system is insanely convoluted (the previous system, if nothing else, was quite straightforward). Neverwinter's F2P aspect is something I heartily praise. Do they give you incentives to spend money? Of course, if they didn't then no one would ever spend any money and they would all be looking for new jobs. Can you get to level 60 faster if you spend money? Sure, but you're going to get to level 60 really fast without spending a dime. Can you get better end game gear faster if you spend money? Sure, but you can get all that same gear by running epic dungeons, buying them from the in-game shop with astral diamonds you earn yourself in-game, or, most likely, a combination of both, all without spending any real life cash, and it won't take forever. This is one F2P game that you truly can play for free and create a powerful, viable end game character. LadyC, I got so much height off the lake jump with my GWF that I hit the invisible wall probably about 15 feet above the top of those rocks. I wish that invisible all wasn't there, I would have landed well into the Monsters on Ice area.
  25. I'm with Hurlshot. I played the game, I had fun, lots of fun. I can't wait to get my hands on the full release (Soon!). I like the turn-based. I like the grid-based movement. I feel the game does a good job of recapturing the feel of the old-school M&M games. Good enough for me.
