  1. A charitable donation has been made in your name to The Human Fund. Money for people.
  2. Thunder smoked the Knicks by 29 at the Garden today. The Thunder winning isn't at all a surprise, though the margin of victory might be. Westbrook had a triple double and both Durant and Ibaka has highly efficient scoring nights. The continued development of the Thunder's bench (they actually have a better +/- than the starters on average) has allowed Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka to play far less minutes, which is great for resting their legs for later in the regular season and the playoffs.
  3. I bet Boone would look good in a pair of ass-tight khaki short shorts.
  4. I'm just really disappointed they didn't design the game around motion/Kinect controls. Opportunity missed, inXile. Where is your innovation?
  5. Finished How the Saints Saved Christmas last night. As with most Saints Row DLCs, it was really short and really fun. Back to The Last Remnant for me.
  6. Merry Christmas! Don't overdo it on the Nog.
  7. Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hx3Bz6cIPiw Shop smart. Shop S-Mart!
  8. Still haven't bought anything. I'm tempted by the flash sale for Final Fantasy VIII (33% off), but my backlog is too large, I wouldn't play a game that large for many months anyway, might as well wait for a future sale where I might get it 50% or even 75% off. I mean, I'm not going to start up another jRPG while I'm playing The Last Remnant, and I likely have somewhere in the neighborhood of 80-100 hours left in that game, knowing the length of a typical Squeenix jRPG and knowing my own playing style (take it slow, explore absolutely everything, talk to everybody, read all the lore). Really just waiting for Cognition or Drakensang 1 at 75% off. I've been good about not getting roped into something else by GabeN Claus.
  9. Weird thing: I love GRID, despite it being pretty frustrating at times. Weirdly, I hate GRID 2, despite it being more or less the same game with some refinements and minor changes. GRID is a game that's sort of halfway between an arcadey racer and a racing sim. GRID 2 seemed to move the needle a bit more toward the arcadey side of things.
  10. What do you mean, African or European swallow?
  11. Maybe he's just intimidated by Boone. Maybe Boone challenges his manhood. I'm not here to judge.
  12. Well, I'm stuffed from delicious Christmas Eve feasting, I'm several cups of Egg Nog (with a little somethin' somethin' in it), two glasses of wine, a glass of rum, and a beer deep (plus I got another beer open and about to be consumed), and I'm about to get down on some How the Saints Saved Christmas. Feliz Navidad, bitches!
  13. Hence why I call it Torture Porn Raider.
  14. Desperados was great, I like it even better than Commandos. Desperados 2, not so much. It is unfortunate that you can't completely stealth ever mission.
  15. Sucks. Likely makes no difference, but the Cowboys definitely have a better shot at winning on Sunday with Romo at the helm than with The Neckbeard. I expect them to lose either way. I wouldn't mind seeing the Cardinals make it in, but it would take a bunch of unlikely outcomes in the final week. They would be an interesting team to have in the playoffs simply because their defense is playing so well right now. Also, with Carson Palmer virtually anything is in play. 5 touchdown passes? He can do that. 5 interceptions? He can do that too. Kind of sucks that we may potentially have a 10-6 team not make it in while a 8-7-1 team does.
  16. Phantasmal Fortress is my favorite dungeon in Neverwinter Note: Check out my broken maul.
  17. Glad you like it. I've been playing this for some time now (I was a backer). The difficulty starts to ramp up around level 8 or 9. There are some pretty good champion and boss fights. Like Titan Quest (which this is a spiritual sequel to) there is a wealth of different possible viable builds. The next bunch of content (Act 2) should be here pretty soon, they've been showing some of it on the Grim Dawn forums. I'm not sure when the multiplayer will arrive.
  18. You're saying the writing in Dawnguard is even worse than base Skyrim? How is that even possible?
  19. Looks like this might just make its goal, as it's gotten a surge in the 11th hour.
  20. Cardinals are actually pretty good, they're 10-5, which is quite impressive in a stacked NFC West. Bears are currently getting SLAUGHTERED by the Eagles in a game that means absolutely nothing to the Eagles and quite a bit to the Bears. Go figure. I'm already anticipating the backbreaking loss at home by the Cowboys to the Eagles next week. It's meant to be. It's the only way the season can end for the Cowboys; finishing 8-8 and missing the playoffs by losing a must win game in the final week of the season for the 3rd straight year. Perpetual mediocrity, get the sensation!
  21. Just killed 2 rare monsters in Blackdale: Crimson Ape and Dominator. Crimson Ape took me 3 tries and Dominator took me 4. The Dominator fight was epic. Dominator keeps inflicting status ailments on you and has a nasty AoE attack. The hardest part is surviving the curse hae places on you during the first turn. After that he'll keep poisoning you, but that's survivable if you keep healing yourself. Curse can knock out characters and if the unit leader falls you're screwed. The fight took me 22 turns and I finally took him out with an Omnistrike. I still haven't figured out what triggers the Remnant powers. I've had Omnistrike kick in as early as the 2nd turn and I've had to wait 22 turns for it to become available. At the point I finally got Omnistrike I was pretty hurt so I was debating taking the safe route and keeping my health up, but I figured Dominator had to be pretty close to dead at this point and this was my chance. Sure enough, Omnistrike finished him off and he never got to attack that turn (which would have likely killed me). Good times!
  22. Romo has actually had a lot of 4th quarter comebacks in his career. He's also had plenty of unbelievable meltdowns, and we remember those more because of how epic they are.
  23. Not true. You can play a machinegun-elf in Shadowrun.
