  1. It's out already? I wonder if the Android version is out already? Edit: Looks like I have another week to wait for the Android version. Hopefully my phone can handle it. How does it play with touch controls?
  2. Good chance it's another hoax. I'll wait for an official announcement from Bethesda, whenever that happens. Until then, I'll just assume Fallout 4 doesn't exist, though obviously Bethesda will make (or at least publish) it at some point.

Z-Bo literally giving a fan the shirt off his back Good on you, Z-Bo. Good on you.
  4. I see your point. I would agree that 7267 people prefered Torment be turn-based. 7052 people prefered Torment be real-time with pause 782 people had no stated preference on torment's combat system. My difference is that to the extent ANYONE voted turn-based for any other reason than the merits of the systems in a vacuum [E.X. people voting turn-based because it is inXile's preference] you cannot claim a causal relationship between their system preference and what they voted for in this poll. In a sense, I am more pessimistic about it's value than you are. EDIT: Thank you for responding, it was helpful in letting me see my bias in assuming that the will of inXile was the only outside factor, when there are more than we can possibly know. It's possible to speculate that the devs' own preference for TB could have influenced people that voted for TB, or even people that voted for RTwP, in some kind of reverse psychology deal. The problem is that without being able to read the minds of some 15000 voters, it's impossible to know how many voters were influenced, and how much. Any assumption as to the motivations and/or thought processes of the voters requires some significant leaps of judgement based on nothing more than hunches and/or some kind of perceived knowledge of the human psyche. I am no psychologist, hence I choose to make no assumptions at all and just take the numbers at face value.
  5. What the voting numbers mean to me: 7267 people prefer turn-based 7052 people prefer real-time with pause 782 people don't care either way Nothing more, nothing less. Y'all can read some imaginary greater or alternate meaning into the totals all you want, it doesn't change anything.
  6. Slippy Toad is even more annoying in 3D.
  7. Gotta love the Monkey Island reference. I love those almost as much as I like "I'm selling these fine leather jackets".
  8. The voting numbers, like any figures, can be spun to fit anyone's version of "reality" and "truth". Have any of you folks thought about going into politics? Because bending words and numbers to fit one's own vision is essentially the crux of being a politician.
  9. In the war atrocities category, I would like to add: Friedrich-Wilhelm Müller (1897-1947) Known as "The Butcher of Crete", Müller was a Nazi general most well known for his occupation of Crete starting in 1942. Probably the most famous, but certainly not only, of his atrocities was the Holocaust of Viannos, a 3 day guerilla campaign that resulted in the death of some 500 civilians and the burning of nearly 20 villages. He was tried by the Greek courts in 1946 and executed by firing squad in 1947.

So, do you folks think the Blazers can keep this up, or do you think they'll come back down to earth at some point?
  11. So wait, I, as an active member of the Obsidian Entertainment forums, am largely responsible for the most welcome victory travesty that is turn-based winning the backer poll? Sweet!
  12. That is clever. What is the most interesting thing about this is it shows how much your kids must like and respect you if they are prepared to spend personal time researching you. Its credit to you and the positive influence you have on there lives and something to be proud of, so nice one Either that or you have a stalker (though, likely not a S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) on your hands.

Another game another W for the Thunder. Both KD and Russ played limited minutes probably partially because it was the second night of a back to back, but also, and more importantly, because both Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb had big scoring nights off the bench, scoring 17 and 18, respectively, and doing it efficiently. I think both KD and Russ would gladly give up minutes and shots if it means getting Jackson and Lamb going. Having those guys contribute solid scoring off the bench could well be the difference between a second or third round exit and a trip to the finals.
  14. Steam Machine prototypes will be shipping Friday. The first batch of SteamOS images will also be made available Friday: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamuniverse#announcements/detail/1930088300965516570 Valve advises that only "intrepid Linux hackers" should try the images, others should wait until sometime in 2014 (when presumably the kinks have been worked out). Good thing that I just happen to be an intrepid Linux hacker.
  15. Firkraag OBLITERATED me the first time I got to him. Completely wiped the floor of his lair with my carcasses. In subsequent playthroughs I handed him his ass, but that first time I got demolished.
  16. Oh joyous day, the Backer Site is here, and looking quite handsome, I might add. Pretty sweet trailer, too. Really captured some of that Baldur's Gate feeling.
  17. No Man's Sky Interview Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy this sounds great.
  18. The situation with RGIII has been a total train-wreck. The cherry on top is that they don't have a first round pick in next year's draft.
  19. Agreed. This was definitely not Romo's fault. The Cowboys defense is historically bad. As a Cowboys fan the only solace I have is that at least they're not the Washington Racial Slurs, because, holy smokes that situation is terrible.
  20. I like the look of it. Well, it's a Wachowski Brothers Siblings movie so there's potential that it could be another The Matrix. On the other hand, there's also potential that it could be another The Matrix Revolutions.
  21. My thoughts while watching the Jupiter Ascending trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoCyL_Pqzu8 What the **** is this? Why is C-Tates a bearded elf? Mila Kunis? Sean Bean? Transforming mech bird thingies? What the **** is going on? One does not simple walk into Jupiter This... looks... wha... ghhh... uhh... whaaaa?
  22. You and I both. I'm going to "break" this game so hard and in so many different ways.
  23. If it's anything like Enter the Dominatrix then it will be really short and really really ridiculous and awesome. I already own it because I bought the season pass. I know, I know, I'm part of the problem by buying a season pass, but I couldn't help myself. I love Saints Row 4 so much, I felt compelled to throw my money at Volition Deep Silver. This coming weekend I'll scoop up some nog and get my Christmas spirit on with the Saints.
  24. I almost feel bad about getting rid of Bosnickel. He was so eager and happy to play riddle games with me.
  25. They are eliminated. Cowboys got embarrassed by the Bears tonight. Dallas' defense is atrocious. I guess the good news is that I'll likely not have to wait until the final week of the season for the cowboys to get eliminated from the playoffs.
