35 wins might be enough to make the playoffs in the East this year. With what's projected to be the best draft in at least 10 years looming next year, it seems a good number of teams are executing Operation Tank Job.

Usually once I tire of killing enemies(which happens rather quickly since, let's face it, Elder Scrolls combat is not exactly thrilling to begin with) and run out of quests to do I usually turn to rooftop jumping and attempting to climb to places which I'm probably not supposed to be able to get to for my kicks.

Yeah, the game is definitely more fun if you don't release the Kraken dragons. It's not a big deal if you do, they're not that much of a nuisance. Like any Bethesda game, the story is completely throw away, so no hurry to complete it. Bethesda's strength has never been writing or quest design. Their strength is making big, lovely sandboxes to **** around in. Also, making buggy game engines, I guess. Like any Bethesda game, I highly recommend mods that change character models/textures. Not necessarily the ones that turn all female characters into sex bombs and/or nudie mods, though, if that's your thing, then go hog wild, but something to make Bethesda's notoriously ugly faces a little easier to stomach. As Indira mentioned, adding mods will make Bethesda's already buggy game even more buggy, so don't get too carried away.

Makes sense. Imagine my excitement as I'm about to only begin my journey in the world of Skyrim Word of advice: Forget about the main storyline and just go do whatever it is that strikes your fancy at that moment, it's MUCH MUCH better that way. Of course, if you've played a Bethesda game before then you already know that, in which case, forget I wrote anything.

Russell Wilson is really good. Really really really good. The sample size on his career is large enough now that it's pretty clear the Seahawks struck gold when they drafted him, and in the 3rd round, no less. He's a legitimate franchise quarterback, borderline top 5 in the league already.
-
Man, the Seahawks are beating the ****ing **** out of the Saints. It's looking very much like the road to the Super Bowl on the NFC side is going to go through Seattle, and that's really bad news for every team not named Seahawks.

I've seen Dark Souls dirt cheap a bajillion times over the past year or so. The reason I don't have Dark Souls is GFWL, and, to a lesser extent, how crappy a PC port it is. The crappy port I could get past since the modders have, for the most part, rescued it. GFWL is a deal breaker. I know it's a great game, I know I'm missing out, but I will never buy it as long as it's attached to GFWL. I will never install that piece of malware on my system ever again. Not for any game ever. I guess I'll just have to wait for Dark Souls 2.

Manu's terrific when he shows up. As he's gotten older he's shown up less and less often.

That happens during the big Steam sales from time to time, in one direction or the other, generally right after they change the daily/flash sales. Sometimes you can get ludicrous deals that way, like when they had Sleeping Dogs for something ridiculous like 97% off for about 5 minutes before someone realized "Oh ****, that can't possibly be right!". That's why if you know their schedule (dailies change at 1PM EDT, flash sales change at 5AM, 1PM, 9PM EDT) it pays to check right at the moments they change.

Okay, that's it. Show of hands, who does not already own this game? /raises hand

Monster night for Kevin Durant last night: 32 points 12 assists 10 rebounds 4 steals 4 blocks. That's downright ridiculous statsheet filling.

I'm only reading this now and I've missed that SR4 special They usually run many of the sales more than once so it might come up again before it's all said and done. If not, there's a good chance it will be on sale during the X-Mas Sale, which will likely be in a couple of weeks. I contemplated getting Metro: Last Light, but then decided against pulling the trigger on it. While my lappy will surely be able to run it, it won't be able to come anywhere near max, or even high settings, plus my backlog is already quite long. Might as well wait until next year when I build a new desktop rig so that I can play it on maximum eye candy. I'll likely get it cheaper then anyway.

InExile is plotting to ruin Torment by making it turn-based
Keyrock replied to khango's topic in Computer and Console
Maybe "indifferent" combat would go something like this: Beefstick the Mighty and his band of intrepid adventurers were traipsing among the ruins the mythical Eech'i Aaz'k Raag when they spotted a group of hulking ogres. They cautiously approached the ogres and their leader stepped forward to parlay. Ogre Leader - "Gruumph! You want fight?" Beefstick - "Meh, not really. I mean, if you really want to." Ogre Leader - "Fight, not fight, me not care." Beefstick - "Yeah, I don't really care either way." Ogre Leader - "We both leave. If anyone ask, big battle." Beefstick - "Sounds good to me." Beefstick the Mighty has gained 500 XP! Beefstick the Mighty has gained a level!- 343 replies

What would "indifferent" combat look like? The first thing that pops into my mind is Arcanum combat, which is downright frightening.- 343 replies

You both have solid points. I clearly didn't think it through.

Why the grumpy face? If I was hundreds of feet tall and had a sword that created bonfires I'd be pretty happy.

Do you mean Eredin, the King of the Wild Hunt, or Emhyr var Emreis, Emperor of Nilfgaard?

If it wasn't for the fact that Geralt is a Witcher, and thus immune to disease, the final boss should be gonorrhea, considering how many times he, ahem, wet his whistle.

I think Drew Brees has replaced Tom Brady as the quarterback you are not allowed to so much as breathe on. Cowboys got a nice win on Turkey Day. Granted, it was against the Raiders, so I'm not exactly celebrating and proclaiming them future Super Bowl winners, but they played well in the second half and actually had a viable running game, plus, had a surprisingly competent clock killing scoring drive to ice the game late in the 4th. The defense is still a mess, but baby steps. Now, if I could just get an Iggles loss, this week will be a rousing success.

I played through both NWN1 OC and NWN2 OC multiple times. I guess I'm just a masochist like that.
