Wow, this debate is still going on? I'm of the mind that there is no out of bounds in comedy. Pushing boundaries and wading into questionable territory is what comedy is all about. The world is a ****ed up place, and the best way to deal with it is to laugh about it. People need to grow thick skins, they need to fail, they need to get insulted, they need to get bullied, they need to get beat up. When they do, they pick themselves up and grow tougher from it. It's part of becoming an adult. But this next generation won't because we coddle and shelter our kids so much these days. Everyone's a "winner", no one can be picked on, no one can even be put in a position to fail, everyone is a "superstar". They're growing up to be a bunch of spoiled, entitled, self righteous pieces of ****, and it's the people that are coddling and sheltering them from everything that are making it happen.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
They could take this a step further. The sexy time scene could have a chance of creating a baby down the road (9 months down the road to be precise), but conception is not a sure thing. So, in addition to the boner pill microtransactions, EA could offer fertility pill microtransactions to increase the chance of conception. They could completely milk provide outstanding value to the suckers their beloved customers.

Space Fans: X Rebirth has a Release Date!
I was also disappointed in the lack of BRAHHHHHM! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXLDv-fUINM On a more serious note, I have this pre-loaded. Just one more day until my galactic trading empire begins to take shape. /rubs hands together

Dragon Age: Inquisition
The DLC idea is pretty brilliant. EA would make a fortune off dudes living in their parents' basement.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
That would be pretty great if BioWare did a sexy time scene where one of the characters can't... shall we say, get his soldier to properly salute. That in turn opens up the possibility for Cialis product placement. It's a win-win.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
So it's a case of BioWare saving their thrusting animations for hilariously awkward sexy time scenes rather than combat?

I'm not sure what you mean here, it was hardly the only reference to fandom peculiarities in the DLC. Considering the air time it has gotten here and elsewhere, it would have been a surprise had it not been referred there. This is an old discussion but still relevant, to be honest I'm not sure what the fuss is? So 12 fans or so took a real interest in a topic that most of wouldn't even think about. So what? Let people discuss what they want about a game, they aren't harming anyone are they The main reason I have an issue with this discussion is that its used in numerous debates to highlight how depraved and bizarre BSN has become. When in fact it represents one discussion compared to hundreds that occur on a daily basis at BSN. I just think people are making a big deal about a small minority of hard core fans as if everyone at BSN is like that Denial ain't a river in Egypt. Also not a river in Egypt: Wisła Back to the subject of Dragon Age. From the video, it seems they're sticking with two-handed sword/axe/maul and long/broadsword or hand axe and shield for fighters. So, likely no spear? Not even just Dragon Age, but a lot of RPGs, and just fantasy games in general, are sticking with sword, axe, and mace/hammer mostly. Why do they gotta be hatin' on spears? Can a gamer get a spear up in this piece?

I'm with you on this one Monte, but I still read RPS because they do still have funny articles and they always deliver on the cheesy as **** puns that I crave. I could definitely do without all the white knighting they do, but I just roll my eyes at it and don't let it ruin the other stuff for me. Now for something less facepalm (or huff and puff, if that's your thing) worthy: Feast your eyes on the amazing Super Mario 3D World OST: That is simply marvelous. Super Mario 3D World is the first (and only, so far) "next gen" (if you want to call the Wii U that) game that's given me an actual case of console envy. Bowser on the drums is insanely awesome (I always did picture King Koopa on the skins).

Holy ****, that is either really really really sad and pathetic, or, as you wrote, some really fantastic trolling.

The Kickstarter Thread
I'm definitely very interested, I like the idea. I like it a lot. I don't have anything iOS, nor do I plan to in the future, so I wouldn't back this as it stands, but were they to make an Android, Linux, or Windows version, I'd definitely consider it.

Because idiots keep buying them. And then they go on game boards and whine about how bad these games are and wonder how they make millions. Next year they do it again. It's true. I remember a while back there was a rather pathetic story of a bunch of CoD addicts making a pact to really show Activision their displeasure at how the game was basically a carbon copy of the previous game and some fixes/adjustments that hadn't yet been implemented and that this was SRS BSNS by banding together and vowing to all quit playing the game... ... wait for it.. ... wait for it... ... FOR ONE WHOLE DAY! *DUN! DUN! DUUUUUUUN!!!* They even made an equally pathetic Youtube video whining about it. I think the called it "Blackout" or some such nonsense. How much do you want to bet 99% of those people bought the next CoD game? They will keep making these games as long as the sheeple keep buying them.

If multi-player was what sold the games more than anything else, shouldn't Battlefield be the top dog franchise rather than CoD? Battlefield has always, in my view, been the superior multi-player game, while CoD always had the superior single-player campaign (or one at all), though these days "superior" isn't saying much for the single-player campaign.

Torment's Producer tries his hand at a RPG Kickstarter
RPS Guido Henkel Interview: Really good stuff. Guido is definitely winning me over. Initially when the Kickstarter was launched I got a definite "just a dungeon grinder" impression, but it's becoming more and more clear that the game will be a heck of a lot deeper than that. Sadly, it's struggling in the funding department and looks like it will likely not make the funding goal unless it gets a shot in the arm. Nice of RPS to give it some coverage. It would be great if a place that gets tons of eyeballs everyday like IGN gave it some coverage, but that's highly unlikely.

Update #67: What's in a Game?
Fantastic update. I love these detailed "nuts and bolts" type updates. It really puts things in perspective, especially in light of people, myself included, wanting certain features to be added or tweaked. Now I have a better idea of just how much of a cascading effect even a small change or addition can make.

As much as I like RPS, and I do, they definitely do some serious white knighting over there, so grain of salt and all that. Here's some Child of Light gameplay with developer commentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8CKhHHz0Rk Grandia combat system + metroidvania exploration + insanely gorgeous art style? *NGH!* Excuse me, I have to go change my tidy whities.

It wasn't bad, but I thought FEAR2 was decidedly mediocre. While overall, I would say FEAR2 is definitely better than F3AR, in a really narrow, niche way, F3AR is superior, because it works so well as a co-op game (and fails so miserably as a single player game), while FEAR2 is just kind of okay. It doesn't really stand out in any way, it's just a decent shooter that lost most of the cool atmosphere of the first game. Alma ceases to be scary as soon as you realize that when she pops up and tries her hardest to be creepy and spooky you are never, I repeat NEVER, in the slightest bit of danger. From that point on it's purely comical. Edit: Not to mention that by the time FEAR2 came out STALKER was already out, and there's just no topping STALKER in the creepy, foreboding atmosphere, as far as shooters go. So I may have been tougher on the game because I was subconsciously comparing it to STALKER, and I hold STALKER up on such a high podium.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
I wish they would have gone with one of the more alien Tali concepts rather than stock photograph Tali (I like the top one the most). The stock photo was such a weak ass copout.
