Where do you keep all those animals? Do you have a ranch or a barn? Who cleans up after them?
-
Pfft, it's going to be 2014. Shouldn't you be going at least 1440p?

And Orton pulls a Romo to end the game and the Cowboys season. How fitting. And we get the Cowboys finishing 8-8 (again) and missing the playoffs (again), just like we all knew we would. Same movie, different year. Good news is we get to watch the same movie again next year.

If people get to reroll ad infinitum there's no point in rolling at all, just let them write in whatever stats they want.

Scooped up an Ioun Stone augment companion for free (real money wise) during the sale (converted AD to Zen). Now gotta level Rocky Rhodes up.

Thunder SMOKED the Rockets tonight. Great nights for Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson, and another monster game for Durant (33 points, 13 rebounds). The Thunder shot 57% as a team. Of course the fact that the Rockets don't play defense might have something to do with that.

Chargers get in after a wild and wacky game.

Both the Dolphins and Ravens shat the bed with the playoffs on the line, which opens the door for the Chargers who will be playing against the chiefs second unit. If the Chargers also manage to **** the bed then the Stillers inexplicably would get in.

I'm pretty sure that's Drakensang. I'm playing Drakensang 2, hence the similarities. Is Drakensang: River of Time considered Drakensang 2? Yes Yes, Phileasson's Secret is an expansion to River of Time. An expansion that's extremely heavy on combat (unlike the base game). Yes

Maybe when the apocalypse that wiped out civilization as we know it happened, lighting technology miraculously came through unscathed and continued to flourish. Maybe as all the other aspects of technology and civilization collapsed, the survivors (mutant and non-mutant) continued working feverishly on higher efficiency illumination. I mean, that should be a priority, right?

I'm back to Drakensang 2 for the time being. The Phileasson DLC is garbage, but the completionist in me compels me to finish it... eventually (at least I can leave and finish it any time). I'm currently level 12. Not sure what max level is, but my characters are rather powerful and I'm about to sneak into the Baron's castle, I think.

As a player, I like roll for stats because I can end up with a character that has deficiencies that I need to overcome, and those tend to be the most fun characters to play. If I get to choose my own point distribution, I can never resist trying to make the most optimized character possible, even knowing full well that I'd have more fun playing a less optimal character. If I'm GMing (which is rare), I'll usually let the players decide (not individually, majority rules), since it's their characters and I'm not going to make assumptions on which way would be more fun for the them.

What's the name of the boss (as long as it's non-spoiler-y)?

I don't like my job either, but I still show up to work every day and do the best I can. If I was paid even 1/10th what Bynum gets paid, I would show up to work every day with a smile so wide it would look cartoonish. I'm not going to feel bad for a guy making 12 million per year for mostly not playing.
-
Bynum got suspended by the Caves indefinitely for "conduct detrimental to the team", whatever that means. Shocking, I know. The saddest part of this is that after he has failed to live up to expectations, and has had a storied history of being fragile, to put it mildly, and been a locker room cancer, in literally every place he's played for, someone will still pay him multiple millions of dollars when his current deal is up.

Yeah, there are definitely things to criticize about Neverwinter. For example, the matchmaking system (whether for PvP or for assembling groups for running dungeons) sucks. Also, the new enchantment upgrading system is insanely convoluted (the previous system, if nothing else, was quite straightforward). Neverwinter's F2P aspect is something I heartily praise. Do they give you incentives to spend money? Of course, if they didn't then no one would ever spend any money and they would all be looking for new jobs. Can you get to level 60 faster if you spend money? Sure, but you're going to get to level 60 really fast without spending a dime. Can you get better end game gear faster if you spend money? Sure, but you can get all that same gear by running epic dungeons, buying them from the in-game shop with astral diamonds you earn yourself in-game, or, most likely, a combination of both, all without spending any real life cash, and it won't take forever. This is one F2P game that you truly can play for free and create a powerful, viable end game character. LadyC, I got so much height off the lake jump with my GWF that I hit the invisible wall probably about 15 feet above the top of those rocks. I wish that invisible all wasn't there, I would have landed well into the Monsters on Ice area.

Might & Magic X Teased by Ubisoft, To Be Revealed at PAX East
Keyrock replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
I'm with Hurlshot. I played the game, I had fun, lots of fun. I can't wait to get my hands on the full release (Soon!). I like the turn-based. I like the grid-based movement. I feel the game does a good job of recapturing the feel of the old-school M&M games. Good enough for me. -
This guy has very little idea of what he's talking about. These things you can get by paying money to get lockboxes or buy items outright: Mounts: Provide basically zero advantage to you in the game. They let you travel a bit faster, that's it. Considering each area isn't particularly huge this is something that gives you a little bit of convenience but does absolutely nothing for you combat wise. Companions: They help, a little bit. They don't make a huge difference. You'll most likely be dismissing them for Epic Dungeon boss fights anyway since more characters means more adds. Companions are mostly useful in solo play, but solo play is a piece of cake anyway. Weapons and armor: Whatever weapons and armor you can buy through the Zen store or get from lockboxes are garbage. All the best weapons are gotten from Epic Dungeons. Now you can buy Zen and convert the Zen to Astral Diamonds to buy the weapons and armor that way, but frankly it won't take that long to get them yourself or earn the astral diamonds from questing and profession tasks. It will take you a bit longer to get this gear, but not THAT long. Experience boost items: Worthless. You level so fast in this game that it's laughable that anyone would really need experience boosts. "You'll never be able to catch up to the people that consistently spend money": While that may "technically" be most likely true, in practice you can get so ridiculously close that the difference is negligible. The reason being that as you raise stats really high you get diminishing returns. Once you pump your stats up to a certain level, increasing them at that point makes a minuscule difference. Case in point, I have all at least Rank 7 enchantments in my gear. It took me a while to get those, but not ridiculously so. Someone who dished out a bunch of money might have all rank 8s or rank 9s but the difference to the character would not be that significant. Real life experience: I have a level 60 (max) Great Weapon Fighter. I have spent $25 on this game, and that was to buy a mount (which I don't even use any more because the pig I got for free is cooler) and some fashion stuff. None of that aided me in becoming more powerful in any way shape or form, I bought it because I felt I should pay something to the developer publisher considering all the hours of playing time I had gotten out of the game. Had I not spent a single dime, my character would be every bit as powerful right now. I have all the top level gear for my character and a full set (actually 2 full sets) with max bonuses, and a bunch of powerful enchantments in my gear. I can run any Epic Dungeon with a decent group and easily hold up my end of the bargain (I'm consistently best or second best in DPS). Had I spent $200 dedicated solely to making my character more powerful, my character would be marginally more powerful right now, as in I might have a 39% critical chance instead of 36% critical chance and 13.5% life steal instead of 12% life steal. Whoop-de-doo. Bottom line: You can absolutely progress to maximum level get top level gear and have a completely viable, powerful end game character without ever spending a single penny, and it won't take you forever.

Golden State could still end up with as high as a 4 seed. That little slump I think took them out of the running for one of the top 3 seeds, but anything else is open (Blazers will cool off, but not enough for Golden State to make up 7 games, Spurs are the Spurs, and Thunder will slip a bit without Westbrook but not 7 games worth).

I don't mind watching Indiana play. Memphis can be pretty brutal. Chicago may be the most painful team to watch right now for two reasons: 1) The don't have anyone that can effectively create their own shot right now 2) Knowing what the team could have been had fate not dealt its cruel fate

I'm right there with you. I've only played AC2, but my feelings on that game were "I wish there were a lot less (preferably none at all) stabbing and a more running on rooftops and climbing. The secret tombs in that game, where you're essentially just trying to climb up to some ridiculously inaccessible looking area, or flipping switches then trying to get somewhere before a gate drops, or whatever, are essentially what I loved about Tomb Raider but with a male protagonist.
