That was a lot closer a game than it should have been given that the Lions had a back up QB and that they're a bad team to begin with. Still, a win is a win. I'll take it. Now I find myself in the uncomfortable position of rooting for the Pats. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Give me a second to compose myself... ... Anyway, I could go for an Iggles loss, so go Pats, I guess... Oh God, it's coming up again.

It might be a while. My PS4 is acting up and there's no data yet on how the game runs on Linux via Proton nor a native version. Also, reports are the performance on PC is rough right now. I'll give it a minimum of a couple months, if I get it at all.

Whoops, I guess muh Boys play the Lions this week, not the Rams. I don't know why I thought we played the Rams. Anyway, that's a game we can actually win. We won't, because the Cowboys are a sucky team that sucks and also is terrible and not very good, but at least it's feasible. I mean, bad teams are the only teams we can beat and the Lions are a bad team.

I finished Code Vein NG+ with the true ending. I found the Skull King battle a bit easier this time around, my glass cannon build did indeed pay off. I didn't outright kill him before he went into phase 3, but my damage output was high enough that I was able to finish him very quickly once he went into phase 3, so he never had a chance to really get going. The final battle of the game, The Virgin Born, I had significantly more trouble with than on the first run through the game, probably because of the glass cannon build. The odd thing about that battle is that it actually become easier IMHO once she (?) goes into phase 2. Phase 1 was the difficult phase for me, I obliterated her once I managed to survive into phase 2. I'm done with the game for now, 82 hours is enough, I guess. We'll see once the DLCs come out if they're worth picking up. The true ending definitely sets the game up for sequels. Whether it sold well enough that sequels will be made, that I don't know, but story-wise, the opening is certainly there.

How do you make a trailer glorifying 1987 America, include a statue of Ronald Reagan, have an inspirational speech voice over, and NOT work "win one for the Gipper" into it? Opportunity missed.

Is everyone waiting for next gen console?
Keyrock replied to Melusina's topic in Computer and Console
I suppose it's possible some games are being held up by the imminent hardware launches, but I have to think most big devs have dev kits for the upcoming new consoles by now, and even if they don't, the architecture isn't changing much for the new gen. I mean, they're essentially PCs at this point anyway. -
I have reached the very last area in my NG+ run in Code Vein. This area is fairly large, has a number of traps, and, as you can imagine, contains the strongest regular enemies in the game, as well as a few mini-bosses and several true bosses. It will be slow going for sure, but I'm this close to the finish line, so I gotta see it through. I've done everything necessary to get the true ending so far, just one thing left to do, and it's in this area.

I defeated Cannoneer & Blade Bearer in my NG+ Code Vein run. In the standard run I breezed through this battle, completed it first try. This time around I struggled mightily. Part of it, I think, is the glass cannon build I'm using right now. The build is based around buffing the bejesus out of my weapon attacks, but it does leave me extremely vulnerable and with 2 bosses in 1 battle, it's hard to battle 1 and keep track of the other to not get blindsided. Still, I got the job done eventually and I'm now in the final stretch of the game. The Skull King battle, the hardest battle in the game IMHO still awaits, but I think I have an ace up my sleeve. The main difficulty of that battle is when he goes into phase 3 at approximately 15-20% health remaining. My plan is that if I get an opening when he's really close to that threshold and I'm sufficiently buffed up and I can pop Merciless Reaper (next attack ignores defenses) and hit him with Severing Abyss (a slow jumping attack that does roughly 500% damage)I can just outright kill him right there and he never even goes into phase 3. That's the theory, anyway.

The magic of Kojima games is that they are simultaneously great and exceedingly dumb.

Did you know Google Stadia launches in less than a week? Neither did I until just now. Anyway, here's the list of launch titles: https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/11/only-12-games-will-be-available-on-google-stadia-in-time-for-nov-19-launch/ That's a good launch line up... a year ago. Anyway, while I currently have zero interest in using Stadia, I will be keeping an eye on it. I am curious as to how it will perform, both in terms of its profitability and in terms of how the games play (i.e. latency, service uptime, the supposed benefits to multiplayer, etc.)

The only surprising thing about the Boys/Vikes outcome was that the score was as close as it was. It doesn't get any easier for my sucky team that sucks and is also terrible and not very good next week as we face the Rams. Granted, the Rams have been in a downward spiral of their own, but I still think they're a much better team than muh Boys.

Because you're good enough, you're smart enough, and, gosh darn it, people like you.

I defeated Gilded Hunter in my Code Vein NG+ run. I lost count how many attempts it took me to do it. I expected this to be really difficult as this was one of the hardest bosses in the game for me in the standard run. I'd say that this is either the second or the third hardest boss in the game. Skull King is definitely the hardest for my money. That's going to be a really brutal and frustrating battle, if I make it that far. Edit: Defeated Successor of the Claw first try. I don't know if it's just my build but that battle was shockingly easy after Gilded Hunter. 3 successors down, 1 to go.

Y'all dropped the ball when we asked you for a favor with the Eagles. Don't expect us to do you any favors this week.

Muh Boys are playing a non-terrible team (Vikes) this Sunday. How badly are we going to get trounced?

One of Zappa's most infamous pieces. The drum part, in particular, is ludicrously complicated. I would not be surprised if Zappa wrote this piece specifically to troll Terry Bozzio.

Some pictures from the show I went to:

I defeated the Successor of the Breath boss in my Code Vein NG+ run. That's 2 of the 4 successors defeated. I've also attempted Queen's Knight a bunch of times. That boss is optional, so I don't have to defeat him, but I've come pretty close a number of times. I'll keep periodically trying that battle as I progress through the second half of the game, eventually I should be strong enough to defeat him, or I'll actually do the battle clean enough to get the job done. I know how to dodge all of his attacks and when my best opportunities to get in and do damage are, it's just hard at my skill level to not screw it up, especially in phase 3 when he moves really fast.

I'm going to the AEW wrestling show here in The Queen City tonight. Should be a good time.

I agree with you there, the Giants being terrible this year is not on Eli or Daniel Jones. I mean, the one big concern I see with Daniel Jones is how much he fumbles. But, the Giants have much bigger issues than that, like the complete and utter lack of a secondary. In both Cowboys victories our wide outs were so ridiculously open at times that I was questioning if the G-Men had any DBs at all. On the bright side, y'all have Saquon Barkley, who is a flat out MONSTER.

Jousting is still a thing... like outside your local ren fair?

Muh Boys beat the Giants, so no big celebration, on account of how bad the G-Men are (sorry Volo... not sorry). Still, a win is a win, so here's the customary Jerry gif:

Could be good, but it definitely needs a good bit of polish.

Rush's last prog epic, I think (if you can call 9 minutes an "epic"), off Permanent Waves, the album that was the transition from prog to mainstream hard rock. Moving Pictures had a little bit of prog on it and they snuck some here and there in later albums, but this was pretty much it for length multi-part prog pieces. The drum fills and breakdowns are phenomenal on this track, even by Neil Peart standards. Edit: Actually, Moving Pictures had The Camera Eye on it, so disregard what I wrote about this being the last prog epic.
