  1. XBOX Series X? Really? Nintendo: "With the Wii U, we created the most unintuitive, convoluted, and confusing naming scheme ever." Microsoft: "Hold my beer." Edit: I realize I'm late to the party here and everybody has probably already meme'd on this. My bad.
  2. This idea is completely preposterous. What single person in their right mind would ever think Domino's pizza is the best, let alone a group of people all agreeing on it?
  3. Code Vein The game that answered the question "What if you made a Souls clone and went Full Anime?" An entry into the genre that is good, but unremarkable. A solid entry point for Souls newcomers, as the game is significantly less daunting due to the (optional) companion (with surprisingly good AI) that accompanies you throughout your vampire adventures.
  4. I was thinking X-Wing pilot that dies during the Battle of Endor.
  5. Pretty apropos that this happened in 2019. Flying cars notwithstanding, Westwood created an eerily accurate current day Los Angeles 22 years ago. On a serious note, I'm all over this.
  6. There's a better chance of a million dollars in cold hard cash just randomly appearing in my home than Trump actually being forced to resign the presidency. I get home from the road on the 20th, I'll let you folks know if the money is there.
  7. The hook for Christmas in Hollis was so dope that Dipset sampled it for this holiday jam: I'm gonna get you grinches into the holiday spirit if it's the last thing I do!
  8. I still have Handsome Jimmy & the Niners coming out of the NFC. I know they just lost to the Falcons, but that was a classic trap game, it happens to the best of 'em. Ravens are the obvious choice in the AFC. They look head and shoulders above anyone else in that conference. I will admit that I am a bit worried the Pats have been sandbagging.
  9. Wait, a visual novel with only 1 ending? I didn't know such a thing existed.
  10. Our running game has been really effective 3 of the last 4 games, except this time we stuck with it and, wouldn't you know it, won the game. Funny how "the running game is really effective so let's keep running it" seems to work out a lot better than "The running game is really effective so let's throw it a bunch instead".
  11. I've been having a really tough time trying to get into Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. First off, I HATE the switch to full 3D. The 2D hand-drawn backgrounds in Silver Earring looked so much better. More importantly, this game just starts out really slow. Silver Earring didn't have any foreplay, it' was just *BAM* straight to murder! The Awakened wants me to take it out to dinner, give it compliments, and gently stroke its arm. What the ****!?
  12. Where the hell has THIS Cowboys team been this entire season? I think this is more a case of the Rams being just as much pretenders as we are and just having a really bad game (at the worst possible time) than it is a case of muh Boys suddenly being good This essentially makes the week 17 matchup with the Skins meaningless. We just need to win in Philly next week.
  13. Muh Boys are going to pick up their 4th straight loss this Sunday and we're STILL going to win the division as long as we beat Philly next week and the Skins the following week. NFC East - Not just bad, historically bad!
  14. Y'all need some holiday cheer, so Imma start you off right with the best Christmas song ever.
  15. I'm hoping Jameis can become the first QB to throw 30 TDs and 30 picks in a single season. Let's make some history!
  16. One step closer to that Code Veronica remake I'm hoping for. Apropos Babylon's Fall. So it's Bayonetta but you're a dude? Cool. I mean, it's Platinum Games, so OF COURSE I'm interested.
  17. https://mobile.twitter.com/DeathComeTrue/status/1203949178373541888 The creator of Danganronpa is making a FMV game.
  18. I finished Sherlock Holmes: Secret of the Silver Earring. It's a pretty enjoyable point & click marred by 2 short sections. The first is a stealth section I already ranted about in an earlier post. The second is an "action" sequence where you have to put out a fire in a limited amount of time by running through a forest maze to a pond to get water. The maze aspect of it is fine, I'm cool with a memory challenge, it's the finicky point n click controls and horrible pathing that make this frustrating. Visually, the game holds up very well for a 15 year old title. The backgrounds, in particular, are quite lovely. Animations are a bit stiff, but not Morrowind-level horrible. Sound is overall good. Quite a few nice classical pieces of music make for a good background track. Voice acting is all over the place, but the main characters are well voiced. I quite enjoyed the writing. The story was engaging and the dialogue was mostly well written. The conclusion at the end where Holmes confronts the guilty party(ies), plays a bit of a gambit, and lays everything out how it happened was great. I always love that part. I guess I'll play Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened next. Fingers crossed that it has no stealth section.
  19. Hopefully it winds up being less disappointing than Binfinite.
  20. I want a Lamar Jackson vs Handsome Jimmy Superbowl. I will also accept Mahomes vs Jimmy.
