  1. I scooped up the Sherlock Holmes Collection from Stream's Autumn Sale. It has 6 of the older Frogwares Sherlock games. It was $4 so worst case scenario is that I wasted the money to buy a burger.
  2. Is it STILL too early to proclaim Luka Doncic the season MVP? I keed, I keed, Giannis is the frontrunner right now. Luka is KILLING IT though.
  3. Ahem. DOOM (2016), Dishonored, Wolfenstein: The New Order, TES3: Morrowind, TES4: Oblivion's Shivering Isles expansion (the base game can eat a bag of ****s)
  4. Counter-point: Getting fleeced by some corpo is 100% on-brand for a cyberpunk setting.
  5. Handsome Jimmy silences the doubters. Oops, not that Handsome Jimmy. This Handsome Jimmy:
  6. I finished The Witcher 3 main campaign (again). I'm going to set the game aside for a while and play something else, something completely different, definitely not a RPG and MOST DEFINITELY not a 100 hour RPG. I'll come back to play Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine later.
  7. Muh Boys lost, as expected. I ain't happy with a loss, but we made that a much closer a game than I expected, especially after having about as disastrous a start as possible (missed FG, blocked punt, int). On a positive note, the C-Hox came through for us and we maintain a 1 game lead. Ultimately, so long as we don't fall 2 games behind, it will come down to week 16 in Philly.
  8. I'm almost at the end of the TW3 main campaign. I'm lev 34 with a full masterwork griffin set, though I'm 1 greater veles rune and a few greater yrden runes short of being fully maxed out. I like the look of the wolf set better, but the grifin set has awesome set bonuses for a yrden-centric build, such as the build I'm running. That does nothing for me now, but it will pay off in Blood & Wine.
  9. Igni is pretty efficient at barbecuing wolves. If you're on horseback, you can just ride past the wolves and ignore them. Even on foot you can run past them once you have halfway decent stamina. They'll stop chasing you eventually. Same goes for drowners. You don't have to kill every random monster, you'll lose your mind if you try to.
  10. Well, it's a good thing muh Boys pulled out to a game lead in the division last week because we're gonna give that game right back this week unless we get some help from the C-Hox. I'm already preparing myself for the brutal beatdown we're about to suffer at the hands of the Pats.
  11. I'm not against VR, despite meme-ing it up earlier in the thread (I couldn't resist, it was too easy) and, unlike 3D and countless other gimmicks, I don't think VR is just a fad or a flash in the pan. That said, I don't think the technology is quite there yet, which is the primary reason I have held off on jumping in and continue to do so. Give it another 3 or 4 years and I'll consider it then. For what it is (I'm assuming essentially an on-rails shooter), Half-Life Alyx looks pretty good, from that trailer. I just want to see a conclusion to the story, in one form or another.
  12. I did the big Kaer Morhen battle in TW3, so I'm into the late stages of the game now. I plan to make Ciri Empress, so, if I remember correctly, that means Radovid has to die (fine by me), Nilfgaard has to win the war (I'm torn on this but it's probably the best outcome, all things considered), and Roche has to win his conflict with Dijkstra (fine by me). I'm staying true to Yennefer... in the main game anyway. Once I get to the expansions, I'm kicking Yen to the curb and hooking up with my favorite red headed medic. #TeamShani
  13. The only thing I'm gonna trash LeBron for is that ridiculous hair piece. As a fellow baldie, Bron, listen to me, just shave your head and own it.
  14. Yes, the C-Hox are a .500 team that is inexplicably 8-2. They're the bizzaro Chargers. The Chargers are a .500 team that is inexplicably 4-6... Okay 4-6 isn't that inexplicable... My comparison kinda falls apart there. I think it's the Russell Wilson factor for Seattle, dude just knows how to win.
  15. ^ So it does, I don't know how I missed that. Out of curiosity, is IMAX worth the mark up? Is it a life altering experience? Will it ruin standard movie viewing for me forever?
  16. Is that IMAX or something? Last time I went I think I paid about $8 for a ticket and it was a nice theater with comfy leather recliner seats. That was 2 years ago. Prices couldn't have risen that much. Is North Carolina just that much cheaper?
  17. With 6 weeks left the NFC playoff picture looks quite clear. We know 5 teams pretty much for sure: Packers, Vikings, Saints, Niners, and C-Hox. The 6th is the NFC East winner (Boys/Iggles) The AFC is a bit more complicated.
  18. ^ Trubisky apologists are even worse than Dak apologists... Not that we have any of the latter here, right? /fidgets Ahem. /hides jersey
  19. With Code Vein out of the way I kinda feel like playing something non-action-y, probably a point & click adventure or a puzzle game of some sort. Until I figure out what said game is, I'm back to Witcher 3. I just finished up in Skellige, for the time being. I decided to put Cerys on the throne. Of the 3 choices, I actually think Svanrige would make the best ruler. However, to put Svanrige on the throne I would have to let Birna get away with murder and abandon a friend (Crach) in need, and I couldn't bring myself to do that. Of Crach's 2 children, Hjalmar as ruler would mean a stronger and more aggressive army in the fight against The Black Ones, however I think Cerys would be the overall better ruler in the long run because she is more level headed and less impulsive, plus she will put a stop to the piracy. If there was a way to put Svanrige on the throne while still punishing his mother, I would have done that, alas, choices in TW3 are rarely that simple.
