I finished Rise of the Torture Porn Raider. It's a significantly better game than the 2013 game. There's still far too much murdering for my taste, but it's not as ludicrous as the previous game. Also, I became so OP eventually that combat was trivial. This game had a lot more actual tomb raiding and they were designed better too. Still not as challenging as I would have liked, but a step up from the insultingly easy puzzles of the 2013 game. I don't usually care about 100%-ing a game, but it will take a while to finish downloading Shadow of the Torture Porn Raider on truck stop wifi and I'm already at 86% so I might give it a go.

It's okay, New York has 2 teams that play in the same stadium... which isn't even in the state of New York. Wisconsin can have a second team. Also, Sheboygan is just a really fun name to say out loud.

My company saw fit to send me to frozen middle of nowhere ****holes the last few days. The vast majority of the time I had no connectivity, and when I did the NFL was the furthest thing from my mind, I was too busy hating everything. Hence, I did not find out about and get to bask in the glory of Jameis' 5000/30/30 season until today. As for the Cowboys, blow the team up. Fire everybody. Cut all the players. Blow up the stadium. Move the team to Sheboygan.

Turn-based should allow Yakuza combat to be even more bonkers than before. Plus, I can beat the crap out of people with a handbag. Needless to say, I'm excited.

Arguably, buying a console this late in its life cycle is the best time to get it, because it is at its lowest price point and has a massive library of games. Old consoles usually get games for a year or two after the new ones launch, so the One S should keep getting games through 2021, if not 2022.

I'm playing Rise of the Torture Porn Raider. So far I like it a little bit more than Torture Porn Raider. It still has all the same things I liked and hated of the first (reboot) game, but so far the ratio of tomb raiding to bloodthirsty murder spree is a little bit more to my liking (ideally, it would be 95% tomb raiding 5% murder, but I know that's a pipe dream), plus the focus on stealth makes combat a bit more palatable. I like all the optional tombs and the general climbing and jumping stuff and the run for your life while being shot at and stuff is exploding and the ground is crumbling beneath my feet action sequences are dope, but I hate forced combat sequences... boss fights, if you will.

The problem with XBOX's befuddling naming scheme isn't a problem for you or me. They can call it the XBOX Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (thank God for copy & paste) for all I care. If I go to pick one up (unlikely, but who knows) I will understand what systyem I am picking up because I am a gamer and I follow this stuff. The problem is when random mom or dad who gives zero ****s about gaming goes to buy one for little Timmy and gets utterly confused because multiple machines share the same or highly similar names.

Today was my last day visiting my parents on Singer Island for Christmas. The ocean was angry today. The waves were theoretically perfect for boogie boarding and I did catch a couple good ones, but good luck actually making it out far enough to catch the waves at that perfect spot where they break. With the waves bashing me in one direction and the strong undertow pulling me in another, after about 20 minutes I had to get out while I still had enough energy to move. I'm considering filing a lawsuit against the ocean for the ass whoopin it put on me today.

Cold hard cash is the most underrated Christmas present.

Play calling has been atrocious, but the problems go deeper than that. Undiscuplined play, stupid penalties, the list goes on and on.

The most Cowboys thing that can happen now is the Iggles losing next week to the G-Men and us beating the Skins, thus backing into the playoffs. Then, we get SMOKED at home in the wild card round, but making the playoffs saves Princeton Red's job so that we get to go through this **** again next year.

I can't wait to beta test incomplete movies for studios in early access.

Muh Boys have a running game that has been firing on all cylinders. Dak has been hurt and limited in practice. Amari Cooper is perpetually hurt. Naturally, we run the ball a grand total of 5 times in the first half.

I scooped up Shadow of the Torture Porn Raider and Dishonored during the Steam Winter sale. The first purchase plus completing some of the activities gave me enough tokens to get the $5 discount which made the second purchase nearly free. I still haven't even played through Rise of the Torture Porn Raider, I'll do that once I run through Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Hopefully Rise is better than Torture Porn Raider (2013). I'm mostly interested in playing Shadow, since I heard people complaining that it didn't have enough Lara murdering and too much puzzling and platforming for their tastes, which made it sound like it would be more up my alley, since I'm all about puzzle platforming and not that into Lara murdering 500 Russians or whoever it winds up being in Shadow. I mean, I'm sure I'll still wind up having to murder a whole bunch of people, Lara's bloodthirst is nigh unquenchable, I just hope it's not quite as many.

Jameis wound up throwing a 4th pick! Heading into week 17, Jameis Winston has 4908 passing yards, 31 TDs, and 28 INTs. He just needs 92 passing yards and 2 picks and the 5000/30/30 dream will be a reality! Also, the Pats and Bills are having a pretty exciting game right now.

Jameis has thrown 3 picks already and the game isn't even in the 4th quarter yet. He already has 30 TDs, 30 TDs/30 picks IS STILL IN PLAY! Jameis is the gift that keeps on giving. He's the most exciting QB the league has seen in years. Will he throw 4 TDs? Will he throw 4 picks? Will he throw 4 TDs AND 4 picks? All of these possibilities and more are in play every time he is out there!

[off-topic]I'll say this for Ballmer, he's done a good job turning the LA Clippers from perennial laughing stock to fringe contender. Granted, after Donald Sterling, pretty much anyone would have been a significant upgrade.[/off-topic] Back on topic: Seems like CD Projekt RED and Sapkowski have made up and are not going to **** in a bag an mail it to each other for Christmas.

It's a sad state of affairs that this is something we get excited about in the year of our Lord 2019. This should have been standard on ALL PC games for the last 20 years. Mice with more than 2 buttons aren't exactly brand new.
